Transmigrated as the Cannon Fodder Marked by the Villain (GL) - Chapter 13
Ruan Jiyan’s tears streamed down her face. If Fu Qingyun hadn’t arrived in time, she would have fallen into the abyss once again.
“Ruan Jiyan!”
The three Alphas lay on the ground, immobilized by the suppressive pheromones emanating from Fu Qingyun.
Fu Qingyun called the police, reporting that multiple Alphas were harassing an Omega near the hospital. In her world, Omegas were rare, so the government placed extreme importance on their protection.
She cast a cold glance at the Alphas struggling on the ground, then cautiously picked Ruan Jiyan up.
The person in her arms felt incredibly light. Even without touching her, Fu Qingyun could feel Ruan Jiyan’s bones digging into her.
“Sister… I’m scared.”
Ruan Jiyan’s face was deathly pale; she looked terrified. Her palms and the spaces between her fingers were bloody and raw, with bits of dirt mixed in with the torn skin.
“Be a good girl, don’t be afraid.”
Fu Qingyun caught sight of Ruan Jiyan’s injured hands. The sight alone was heartbreaking. How much pain and fear must she have been in to scrape her hands like that?
“It hurts so much…”
Ruan Jiyan reached out and wrapped her arms around Fu Qingyun’s neck, whimpering constantly in her ear, “Sister, I hurt…”
“Sister will take you to the hospital for bandaging.”
Without a word, Fu Qingyun kicked one of the Alphas right in the small of his back. The heel of her high-heeled shoe dug savagely into his flesh.
Screams rang out incessantly. Fu Qingyun, holding Ruan Jiyan, fiercely kicked all three Alphas as a form of revenge for Ruan Jiyan.
As an experienced doctor, she knew exactly where it hurt the most, and where the wounds would be nearly invisible upon examination.
Although Fu Qingyun had taken revenge for Ruan Jiyan, it was far from enough for her.
Ruan Jiyan wanted to devour them alive. Her eyes were filled with monstrous hatred, seemingly transferring all the suffering she had experienced in her previous life onto these three Alphas.
Fu Qingyun steadily carried Ruan Jiyan and hurried to the hospital. The hospital was small in scale, but what it lacked in size, it made up for in completeness. Within moments, a nurse pushed a cart over to clean Ruan Jiyan’s wounds.
Ruan Jiyan’s palm skin was delicate, which was why it was so easily broken by the gravel on the ground.
“It’s just a small injury. Bear with it, okay?”
The nurse used tweezers to pick out small pieces of grit from Ruan Jiyan’s palm. Perhaps she touched a sensitive part of the wound, because Ruan Jiyan frowned, looked at Fu Qingyun standing by, and immediately cried out in pain.
Drama queen.
The young nurse couldn’t help but purse her lips. Fu Qingyun noticed this entire interaction.
“How about I take over?”
Fu Qingyun negotiated with the young nurse, “Little sister, why don’t you go take care of something else? Leave this to me.”
“How can I do that?” The young nurse looked up at Fu Qingyun. Meeting those beautiful phoenix eyes, she blushed and lowered her head, saying, “You don’t know how to do this. If the bandaging isn’t done properly, I’ll be scolded.”
Ruan Jiyan noticed the nurse’s gaze towards Fu Qingyun. She turned her cold face away, then looked back at Fu Qingyun with a sudden, warm smile:
“Sister, are you really capable?”
I’ve bandaged more wounds than you’ve eaten salt, Fu Qingyun thought. She smiled and told Ruan Jiyan, “I can.”
“Alright then, I’ll stand here and watch you.”
The nurse stepped aside. Fu Qingyun pulled up a chair and sat in front of Ruan Jiyan, cradling her hands with utmost care and using the tweezers to remove the small stones one by one.
There didn’t seem to be any glass shards. If there were, it would be even more troublesome.
Fu Qingyun was completely focused on treating Ruan Jiyan’s wounds, utterly oblivious to Ruan Jiyan’s complicated gaze, which was filled with scrutiny and curiosity.
How does this person even know how to do this?
The small nurse next to them was stunned by Fu Qingyun’s practiced technique. She covered her mouth and curiously asked, “Sister, you’re more skilled than I am. Which department are you from?”
Sister…
Ruan Jiyan bit her lower lip, glancing again at Fu Qingyun, who was seriously cleaning her wound with her head lowered. She heard Fu Qingyun reply with a smile, “I’m just an amateur.”
After applying the medicine with a cotton ball, Fu Qingyun wrapped both of Ruan Jiyan’s hands with gauze, circle by circle. This operation once again stunned the nurse beside her.
As the nurse lowered her head, feeling inadequate, Fu Qingyun gently supported Ruan Jiyan’s shoulders and helped her stand up.
“Could you please tidy up here?”
“Y-Yes, of course.”
Ruan Jiyan felt that the nurse was somehow inappropriate. She looked up slightly at Fu Qingyun’s perfect, beautiful profile, feeling a distinct pang of unpleasantness.
Why can anyone call her Sister?
And she even so smoothly called the nurse “little sister.” She really must be a flirtatious woman with countless romantic debts.
Fu Qingyun was unaware of all the drama Ruan Jiyan was concocting in her mind. She turned and asked, “What’s Auntie’s ward number? I bought some things; let me go with you to see her.”
“My mom is asleep, and she’ll be suspicious if I bring a strange Alpha to see her.”
Ruan Jiyan deliberately refused, and Fu Qingyun couldn’t push the matter.
This ABO world was different from her own. In her world, bringing a female friend to meet parents was fine, but this world was different.
I’ll find another chance to see Auntie later, she thought. But at least, it should wait until Ruan Jiyan fully trusts her.
Fu Qingyun’s guilt mounted incessantly. She had “slept” with someone’s beloved daughter while she was sober and fully aware. No matter what, she had to go see the mother.
“Watch your hands.”
Fu Qingyun supported Ruan Jiyan’s forearm with one hand and shielded the car door frame with the other to prevent her from hitting her head.
“Are you feeling better? Are you dizzy? Does it hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore, just a little dizzy.”
Ruan Jiyan leaned back against the seat, closing her eyes. Her two hands lay flat on her knees.
Delicate and gentle.
This was Ruan Jiyan’s current impression of Fu Qingyun.
She was like a completely different person from the crude and tyrannical Alpha of the previous life.
This made it impossible for Ruan Jiyan to equate the two Fu Qingyuns.
She is not her.
Ruan Jiyan looked at Fu Qingyun’s profile again, seeing a gentle and warm expression on her face.
“Your hands are injured, and you can’t manage alone. You should stay with me for the time being.”
Ruan Jiyan was about to refuse, but a sudden curiosity to explore Fu Qingyun surged within her. She was going to decline the invitation but instead, she said, “Okay.”
The corners of Fu Qingyun’s lips curved slightly. She smiled, looking at the downcast Ruan Jiyan in the rearview mirror, and said, “That’s right. I really wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving you alone.”
She didn’t mention the recent incident with Ruan Jiyan, wanting to avoid forcing her to recall the painful experience.
“You bandaged it very nicely.”
Ruan Jiyan raised her arm and seemed to compliment her casually, but she was actually testing Fu Qingyun’s reaction.
“This is very simple. Keep your hand still, don’t move it.”
Seeing Ruan Jiyan repeatedly examine the gauze she had wrapped, Fu Qingyun smiled, “You absolutely must not move it now. When the wound heals, don’t scratch it. Your hands are so beautiful. What if it leaves a scar?”
“Sister, how do you know how to do everything?”
Ruan Jiyan blinked at Fu Qingyun, smiling, “Did you specifically learn that?”
“Bandaging is basic knowledge. My mother insisted I learn it, saying it could save my life if I ever got kidnapped and injured.”
“Oh.”
Fu Qingyun spoke casually, suddenly realizing that her actions didn’t align with what a rich young heiress would typically know.
I was careless.
Ruan Jiyan gazed at her own hands, but all her attention was on Fu Qingyun.
This person is genuinely interesting.
She decided to dig deeper, believing there might be unexpected rewards.
