Transmigrated as the Villain’s Sword - Chapter 34
Guan Luowei’s voice wasn’t loud, but the farce had already drawn considerable attention, and her words reached many ears. Those nearby who had been rejected by the pair were struck with shock, their hearts aching with a lingering sense of regret.
The glamorous woman stared in disbelief, looking from Guan Luowei to the girl collapsed in her arms—who was currently mumbling the word “Master.” After a long pause, she let out a smile and said suggestively, “So, that’s how it is.”
She looked at Guan Luowei’s cold, exquisite features and stepped closer, laughing ambiguously. Her fingertips reached out slowly to touch Guan Luowei’s arm as she breathed out like an orchid: “If you want to play this kind of ‘Master’ game with me, I’m available too.”
Guan Luowei looked at her with freezing eyes and spat out a single word: “Beat it.”
The voice carried an offensive technique; the woman screamed as her wrist twisted, and she was sent flying backward. Looking at her mangled hand, she no longer harbored any thoughts of flirtation, staring in horror as the woman carried her prey away.
The surrounding crowd fell silent like quails, their faces masked with a uniform fear. This woman’s cultivation was terrifying; the mere leak of her aura was enough to make them breathless.
Only Chen Juan had an excited gleam in her eyes.
Guan Luowei carried the drunken girl in her arms, her face as cold as a god of slaughter, exuding a murderous aura all the way back to the inn.
Inside the room, the candlelight flickered with a soft glow. The girl in her arms was still restlessly moving about. Guan Luowei tossed her directly onto the bed, showing absolutely no intention of “cherishing the jade.”
The girl let out a muffled groan from the impact, rolled over on the bed, and fell into a deep, careless sleep.
Under the lamp, the girl’s face was flushed a vibrant crimson, as if she were wearing heavy rouge. Her long, closed lashes trembled uneasily, and her mouth emitted unconscious murmurs.
Guan Luowei felt irritated; her voice sounded as if she were chewing ice, sharp and cold: “Deceptive God Zither, sober her up.”
The pure-colored jade bracelet on the girl’s wrist emitted a faint golden light. Jinjin slowly materialized under Guan Luowei’s gaze. He looked at the ice-cold woman with some fear, nodded, and prepared to use zither music to sober the girl.
Guan Luowei watched the Zither Spirit extend his short fingers, then suddenly called out: “Wait.”
Jinjin stopped.
Guan Luowei glanced at him and said, “Block your five senses and go back inside.”
Jinjin let out an “Oh,” looked at the girl on the bed with hesitation, and then—under the woman’s chilling gaze—hurriedly blocked his senses.
The room remained silent for a long time. Guan Luowei sat beside the girl, her emotions stabilizing. She looked at the girl on the bed, a trace of complexity flashing in her eyes.
After a moment of daze, the sound of coughing rang in her ears. Guan Luowei turned back to see the girl had opened her eyes at some point. The corners of her reddened eyes were moist with tears from coughing, and she was squinting at her with watery eyes, her voice raspy: “…Water.”
Guan Luowei instinctively stood up. Just as she reached the table to pour a cup, she paused, turned around, and looked at the girl on the bed with an unfriendly expression.
She strode to the bedside and looked down at her, her eyes trailing a cold chill: “What secret do you have with that Qingtan?”
The girl’s eyes were misty; she was clearly not sober yet. Hearing the question, she replied woozily, “Qingtan… pretty…”
Guan Luowei’s eye twitched, the coldness in her gaze sharpening. For reasons unknown, she countered: “Is that so?”
“Mm… yeah!” The girl on the bed was completely oblivious to the approaching danger. She nodded to herself and said, “Qingtan, pretty. Qinghan, pretty. Lin Qingwan, pretty…”
Seeing that the girl was listing almost everyone she had ever met, Guan Luowei actually let out a dry “Heh” of a laugh. In the next second, demonic energy surged in her hand, and the girl was yanked toward her. Guan Luowei stared into those unseeing eyes and said coldly, “Since you aren’t sober, go outside and sober up.”
With that, she grabbed the girl, intending to haul her out of the room.
The girl was oblivious, still mumbling: “Mm… the Big Villain… is the prettiest…”
Guan Luowei’s movement froze. She turned back to look at the woman suspended before her, silent.
The girl continued: “Mas… Master, is the prettiest, hehe…”
As she spoke, she let out a silly giggle.
Guan Luowei looked at the drunken, senseless girl, sighed, and tossed her back onto the bed.
She sat at the bedside, watching the girl continue to talk nonsense. She fetched a cup of water, helped her up, and brought the cup to her lips. Perhaps she was truly thirsty, as the girl managed to drink half the cup.
Guan Luowei put the cup back. Just as she was about to lay the girl back down, those dark, watery eyes suddenly snapped open.
Guan Luowei paused. “You—”
Before the words were out, the girl blinked at her and said, “Wow, a beauty!”
Guan Luowei froze. Looking into the girl’s bright eyes, she couldn’t tell for a moment if she was sober or not.
During the silence, the girl suddenly cupped Guan Luowei’s face and pulled it toward her own. As she moved, she said, “Beauty, let’s get close.”
A soft, warm cheek was suddenly pressed against hers. The scorching heat seemed to travel through their touching skin straight into Guan Luowei’s own face. In fact, half of Guan Luowei’s face turned crimson, and even her neck followed suit.
She took a deep breath, pushed the girl away, and held her shoulders. “Do you know who I am?”
The girl nodded: “You are the Big Villain, my… Master.”
As she spoke, she leaned in again, trying to press her face against Guan Luowei’s.
Guan Luowei stopped her once more. This time, the girl pouted her lips in dissatisfaction, looking at her with a face full of grievance, as if condemning her for not allowing the “closeness.”
A faint light shimmered in Guan Luowei’s eyes. She began to coax her slowly: “If you answer two questions for me, I will let you… do that.”
By the end of the sentence, even Guan Luowei’s ears were red.
The girl’s eyes lit up. “Okay! Ask away!”
“What secret do you have with Qingtan?”
“Mmm… no secret. If I have to say one, it’s that I—I pretended to know fortune-telling. I lied and told her Mu Yunze would come to harm her sister, then I set him up, hee hee.”
After finishing, the girl looked at Guan Luowei, her face begging for praise.
Guan Luowei’s gaze shifted, and her lips curled slightly. “Very clever.”
The girl’s eyes sparkled. She giggled, “Master, I want a reward!”
The meaning in her eyes was all too obvious. The crimson on Guan Luowei’s face deepened, yet she remained calm. “The reward comes only after you finish answering.”
The girl pouted. “Then you have to give me a big reward.”
“Alright,” Guan Luowei smiled, thinking that letting her stay close for a while longer wouldn’t hurt. She continued, “Where do you come from?”
Although she knew the girl wasn’t a sword spirit born of the weapon itself, Guan Luowei was still unclear about her true identity.
“Mmm…” the girl said. “I’m from BEEP BEEP—”
Guan Luowei held her breath, waiting to hear, but the girl’s body suddenly twitched. Then, her eyes filled with tears, and she protested, “It hurts. It won’t let me say it.”
Seeing the girl’s eyes brimming with tears, Guan Luowei felt a pang in her heart. She thought of the “System” the girl had mentioned and narrowed her eyes. Is that ‘System’ fellow causing trouble?
But now was clearly not the time to ponder that. Looking at the girl’s tear-streaked face, Guan Luowei feared that if she didn’t coax her soon, the girl would pout and cry all night. Just thinking about it made Guan Luowei’s heart ache.
So she pulled the girl into her arms, using her demonic energy to slowly soothe her body. After a long while, she asked softly, “Does it still hurt?”
“It hurts.” The girl gave a sleepy yawn through her tears, looking ready to pass out at any second, but she forced her eyes open. “If Master gives me a reward, it won’t hurt anymore.”
Guan Luowei’s face was vivid with color, but she still reached out, gently cupping the girl’s cheeks and slowly bringing them close to her own.
She lowered her eyes. As she moved, the girl’s cheek approached. The heat hit her like a tidal wave, making her blush furiously.
But just as the girl’s cheek was about to touch hers, the girl suddenly giggled, turned her head quickly, and planted a kiss on Guan Luowei’s cheek. Then she closed her eyes and collapsed into Guan Luowei’s arms. “Master, we’re close. It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
The sudden kiss was like a light feather touching her cheek for a fleeting second, but the scorching heat remained on her skin. It made her entire body feel hot and weak, and her heart began to thud uncontrollably. Guan Luowei looked at the already sleeping girl, let out a helpless sigh, and settled her onto the bed.
The next morning, Ling Chenyan woke up feeling refreshed. She sat up, looked at the bright light outside the window, scanned the room, and muttered to herself, “Where did the Big Villain go?”
In the next second, the door opened. Sunlight flooded the room, making Ling Chenyan squint at the woman walking toward her from the light.
“Awake?” Guan Luowei paused slightly, then closed the door to block the glare. She set the items in her hand on the table, glanced at her, and asked, “Hungry?”
Ling Chenyan slowly snapped out of it. Looking at the woman’s cold face and the two steamed buns on the table, a strange feeling arose in her heart.
Did I forget something? Yesterday, the Big Villain couldn’t be bothered to talk to her. Yet last night, she got to sleep on the bed, and this morning, the Big Villain actually bought her breakfast?
[Sys, am I dreaming?]
[I suggest you slap yourself in the face, dear.]
[Guess I’m not, then.]
Hearing the System’s usual tone, she confirmed she wasn’t dreaming. In a flash of insight, she realized something. [Sys, what happened last night?!]
[Nothing much. You almost exposed your identity to the Big Villain, then I shocked you. You started crying to the Big Villain for comfort, which not only won her sympathy but nearly sold me out. Luckily, you took advantage of her at the end and fell asleep happily.]
[…]
Too many key elements. She couldn’t process it all at once.
While Ling Chenyan’s mind was blank, Guan Luowei looked up at her and said, “It seems you aren’t hungry?”
Judging by the girl’s reaction and expression, Guan Luowei knew she had likely remembered—or found out—about last night. Thinking of that kiss that made her blush, Guan Luowei couldn’t help but twitch her fingertips. She stood up. “I’m going out to check on something. Wait for me here.”
With that, she left the room.
It took a long time for Ling Chenyan to fully process exactly what she had done. She said to the System with extreme calm: [Sys, is there a way to move to another planet?]
[No, dear.]
Ling Chenyan: [Doesn’t matter. I’ll just die on my own.]
System: [Impressive, dear.]
[AAAAAAAAH! What do I do, Sys?! My reputation as a ‘lecherous woman’ is definitely set in stone with the Big Villain!]
The System remained silent, letting Ling Chenyan suffer through her embarrassment. Finally, after she calmed down, it said: [It’s okay. You can just pretend you blacked out and have amnesia.]
[Great idea, Sys!]
Ling Chenyan’s eyes lit up. She decided to pretend she remembered nothing. With the problem “solved,” her appetite returned. She grabbed one of the white buns and took a large bite. It’s fine. It’s just social death. I’ll just act like I don’t know anything.
A long while later, Guan Luowei finally returned. Seeing the two buns had disappeared and the girl was sitting by the bed, a small smile touched her eyes.
Seeing Guan Luowei, Ling Chenyan knew it was time for her acting debut. She clenched her fists nervously and decided to strike first.
“Ma… Master, I drank too much last night. Nothing happened, right?” The girl blinked, her face full of guilt.
Guan Luowei’s eyes shifted. She understood immediately. She sat down unhurriedly, poured herself a cup of tea, and asked, “Do you want to know?”
“No, no, no!” Ling Chenyan denied it instantly. Seeing Guan Luowei’s puzzled look, she explained, “I mean, well, getting drunk definitely leads to embarrassing things. You don’t need to tell me.”
“Oh, I see.” Seeing the girl’s nervous state, Guan Luowei didn’t tease her further. She simply nodded. “There is a baptism today. Do you want to go?”
Relieved that the matter was dropped, Ling Chenyan said, “Yes.”
After a brief rest, the two went back to the convention hall. Today, there were not only Zen Masters from the Buddhist Sect assisting with the baptism but also registrations for the competition.
When they arrived, the hall was already packed. The two were striking figures in the crowd, drawing frequent gazes.
Before they had walked far, a voice called out: “Miss Ling!”
Ling Chenyan looked up to see a familiar face. Her eyes brightened. She turned back to look at Guan Luowei for permission, then ran over to Chen Juan.
Chen Juan watched their interaction. As Ling Chenyan approached, she gave a secret thumbs-up from an angle Guan Luowei couldn’t see. “Miss Ling, you two play in such a… ‘creative’ way…”

Ling: Holy crap, how do they know!
