Transmigrating into a Scumbag Alpha, a Dainty Omega is Pregnant with My Child - Chapter 12
In the bedroom, under the bright lights, Xiao Yun lay on the sofa with her head tilted back, listening to the sound of water rushing in the bathroom. She fell asleep ahead of time.
She still felt that the last two days had been a dream. She always thought that if she fell asleep and woke up, she would return to her original world. Doing ten hours of surgery with a scalpel was not as tiring as being in this world.
She wondered what the little ancestor was thinking right now.
After some time, the sound of water in the bedroom stopped. There was a faint sound of footsteps on the high-quality cashmere rug, slowly approaching her. The sound of a nightgown dragging on the rug made a rustling sound.
The light in front of her was blocked. A soft voice came from above her head: “I’m done washing up.”
Jiang Cha’s voice was sweet and soft, but her tone was very cold.
Xiao Yun then opened her eyes, and her gaze met Jiang Cha’s.
She had just been crying in the car. Her eyes and the corners of her eyes were a cherry blossom pink. The blood-red tear mole was beautiful, and her face couldn’t hide her illness.
She was so close that Xiao Yun coughed. She quickly looked down and saw her wearing a long-sleeved, ankle-length white dress. Her snow-white, tender feet were gently stepping on the cashmere rug. Her hands were behind her back, like a little rabbit.
“Go to sleep when you’re done washing up.”
Xiao Yun pinched her temples and leaned back.
Jiang Cha glanced at her: “Didn’t you say you wanted to talk to me?”
“Oh, I almost forgot.”
Tired but not weary, Xiao Yun sat up, her face full of apology: “I was negligent today. I shouldn’t have left you alone in the seat.”
She had been in this world for such a short time that her mind was a mess. She had almost made Jiang Cha pay a terrible price.
If that had really happened, her fate…
She was filled with fear.
Jiang Cha crossed her hands in front of her back, lowered her head, and said, “It’s nothing.”
Nothing? The little ancestor always hid her true feelings. She said “it’s nothing” on the outside, but she was probably planning something in her heart.
Xiao Yun’s heart was in her throat. She quickly took the plea bargain agreement for Li Rang out of her bag and handed it to Jiang Cha.
“I didn’t go there to hang out with them. I had something serious to take care of.”
Xiao Yun paused, watching her reaction.
“Thank you.” Jiang Cha glanced at it and took the contract to read.
Xiao Yun was still worried: “If three years is too long, we can still get it reduced.”
“I know,” Jiang Cha said wearily.
After she said that, Jiang Cha got up and went back to bed. She hugged a little gray bear that she had taken out at some point, covered herself with the blanket, and went to sleep.
Xiao Yun breathed a sigh of relief, grabbed her pajamas, and went to the bathroom.
After her shower, Xiao Yun comfortably wiped her hair while checking if the little ancestor was asleep.
Jiang Cha’s face was buried in the little bear. Her dark hair covered her petite body. Her body was curled up, and a corner of the blanket was about to fall onto the floor.
Xiao Yun’s obsessive-compulsive disorder kicked in again.
She walked to the bed and reached out to grab a corner of the blanket.
Jiang Cha’s brows furrowed. She tightened her grip on the little bear, and her whole body tensed up. Her breathing stopped instantly.
She didn’t know what Xiao Yun was going to do.
A gust of wind instantly went to her feet. Her heart trembled. She didn’t dare to move. Then she heard the sound of Xiao Yun pulling the blanket.
She curled up slightly, her eyes half-open as she watched her.
Xiao Yun’s movements were slow and gentle. Her hands were like jade. She gently pulled the blanket, patted the velvet blanket, and turned to walk toward the sofa.
The rock in Jiang Cha’s heart fell.
Xiao Yun lay on the sofa, glanced at the person on the bed, and saw that she wasn’t moving. She covered herself with the blanket and went to sleep.
When she was a doctor, she could fall asleep standing up. So with a sofa and a velvet blanket, and being tired for two days, she quickly entered a sweet dream. Her body and mind relaxed.
The next day, Xiao Yun woke up early. Since she couldn’t go back, she had to live well in this world. The first priority was to take good care of the female lead.
The second priority was to perform well in front of Father Xiao to change his opinion of her. This would prevent the plot of Xiao Yun infuriating her father to death.
Xiao Jingliang was busy with company matters and wasn’t at the villa, so the only people eating were the eldest sister, the eldest sister-in-law, the youngest aunt, and her.
Jiang Cha hadn’t woken up yet. She probably didn’t have much of an appetite, or maybe she didn’t like to join the crowd for breakfast because she wasn’t familiar with the family.
After Xiao Yun finished eating, she asked Butler Mei to prepare breakfast. She planned to personally deliver it to the little ancestor to earn some goodwill.
Unexpectedly, just after breakfast, Xiao Jiang’s call came in.
“Xiao Yun, you really don’t consider us friends anymore?”
Xiao Yun took the call and immediately walked to a corner: “So what if I don’t?”
Xiao Jiang coughed: “You beat up Xia Yang and sent her to the ICU yesterday. Do you think she’ll let it go? Xiao Yun, have you forgotten how you and Jiang Cha got married!”
The evidence of their conspiracy was still in her hands.
Xiao Yun pursed her lips. After making sure no one was around, she immediately said: “Jiang Chengcheng, let’s meet.”
Xiao Jiang was silent for a few seconds before humming in agreement.
Xiao Yun hung up the phone and saw that Auntie Mei was gone.
The youngest aunt stood up next to her: “Xiao Yun, what’s wrong?”
A light bulb went off in Xiao Yun’s mind: “Auntie, you don’t have class today, do you?”
Her youngest aunt was an elementary school teacher. Her personality was very gentle. Entrusting Jiang Cha to her was the best option.
Her aunt shook her head: “Xiao Yun, is there something you need?”
Xiao Yun handed the breakfast to Xia He: “Auntie, Jiang Cha hasn’t had breakfast yet. Can you do me a favor?”
Her aunt smiled, her eyes squinting into a crescent moon, and her voice was sweet: “Xiao Yun, you’ve become so caring after you got married.”
“Ah?” Xiao Yun laughed awkwardly: “Ca-caring?”
Her aunt took the breakfast from her: “You can go. Don’t worry about it.”
Before she left, Xiao Yun held a rope in her hand and a fake bone in the other. She beckoned to Wanzi: “Come here.”
Wanzi saw it and ran over, not knowing that it was all a trap.
Jiang Cha woke up late, and she was hungry. She was about to leave the room but was afraid that Wanzi would suddenly run over.
She simply sat on the headboard and scrolled through the voice messages from her manager.
Wives’ Honeymoon Trip was scheduled for two weeks later. This was the last spot. Her manager wanted her to reconsider and also convince Xiao Yun to participate in the show.
She responded by typing: “Sister Chunhua, I believe you have other shows.”
“Sister Chunhua, I don’t want to create a loving couple persona. Can you help me find other resources?”
“Do you want to accept a sanitary products ad?”
“Yes.”
She said this to avoid a falling out with her. Li Chunhua had been with her for so long, and now her fox tail was finally showing.
For her career, she had to find better resources herself. She couldn’t let her fate be in someone else’s hands anymore.
She scrolled through the friends she had added on WeChat. There were many directors of variety shows. She was very popular before and didn’t have time for variety shows. Now that her popularity had plummeted, it was time to get some exposure through a variety show.
She was also a member of a girl group. It would be best to find a variety show that was related to the stage.
The door was suddenly pushed open. Jiang Cha put away her phone and saw Xia He walk in.
“Auntie.”
Jiang Cha smiled at her.
“I’m sorry. I really didn’t have a free hand to knock on the door. I thought you would be awake, so I just came in. You haven’t had breakfast yet, have you? I brought some for you.”
Her aunt held the breakfast. Jiang Cha quickly got up and took the tray: “Thank you, Auntie. I’ll take it.”
Xia He put the breakfast down: “Xiao Yun asked me to bring it to you. Eat it while it’s hot.”
Xiao Yun? Jiang Cha paused. She picked up the soy milk and took a sip. A warmth slid from her throat to her stomach, warming her icy limbs.
After two sips of soy milk, Jiang Cha ate two mouthfuls of the steamed egg. She ate in small bites, like a kitten. It made Xia He a little anxious.
“Jiang Cha, you’re too thin. Eat more.”
“If you’re like this, Xiao Yun will be heartbroken.”
It’s a marriage of convenience. Why would she be heartbroken? Jiang Cha thought to herself, a smile on her face: “I know, Auntie.”
Xia He sat beside her, resting her chin on her hands, smiling as she looked at her. She saw the full chest under Jiang Cha’s loose nightgown: “But even though you’re thin, you have what you’re supposed to have. An Omega like you and a child with Xiao Yun would be so cute.”
Jiang Cha choked on a mouthful of soy milk. She patted her chest and coughed.
Xia He quickly patted her back: “What’s wrong?”
“It’s… nothing.” Jiang Cha wiped her mouth: “You’re telling me this, but you’re an Omega too. Why haven’t you…”
Xia He’s smile froze for a moment. She said with a serious face: “Me? I don’t have that ability. My body isn’t very good…”
I can’t give birth.
Jiang Cha felt a little ashamed. She whispered: “I’m sorry.”
“No, no. Speaking of which, Xiao Yun has changed a lot since she got married.”
Xia He immediately changed the subject: “I thought no one could tame her. Now that I’ve seen you, I’m at ease.”
Jiang Cha looked confused.
“What did she say…?” Jiang Cha asked awkwardly.
“She put Wanzi, the dog she’s had for two years, in a cage. She said she was afraid it would scare you.”
Her aunt had a look of affection on her face: “Xiao Yun is so different when she’s in love.”
Jiang Cha put down her spoon.
A moment later, Auntie Mei came in with Wanzi to clean up the tray. Wanzi had a collar around her neck, and a metal muzzle over her mouth.
When Wanzi saw her, her eyes were filled with tears. She barked at her and pawed at the air with her hands.
Jiang Cha was silent for a moment. She looked at Wanzi and pursed her lips.
