What's Wrong with Spoiling You? [Entertainment Industry] - Chapter 19
She suddenly felt a sense of being cherished, while Yun Bo seemed like a fiancée coming to propose marriage at her home.
“Does Xiao Yun not know what Auntie likes to eat?”
“I know, I know,” she replied, thinking to herself that although it might cost a bit, the favorability points would rise significantly. If anything were to happen with the beauty in the future, Tan Mu’s attitude wouldn’t be so harsh.
Besides, she could afford such a lavish meal with her salary, so she pointed at the seafood ahead and said, “My mom is quite picky—she loves seafood.”
For Yun Bo, it wasn’t just about buying seafood; even if Tan Mu wanted some rare delicacy, she would go to great lengths to get it on the table.
After a while, Tan Yun was amusing herself by teasing a crab with a lobster’s claw, while Yun Bo watched with interest, occasionally playing with their whiskers too.
Meanwhile, Gu Yuan was standing not far from them at the oyster stall, accompanied by a tall woman wearing a black V-neck short-sleeve that revealed half her chest, paired with cropped pants and a face mask.
Noticing Gu Yuan staring intently at the pair, the woman asked, “Do you know those two over there?”
Gu Yuan nodded, still remembering the humiliation she suffered from them that morning. She gritted her teeth and replied, “Yeah, a couple of lesbians.”
“Lesbians?” The woman looked puzzled, her gaze lingering on Tan Yun, who was engrossed in her play.
“Yeah, lesbians,” Gu Yuan said disdainfully.
The woman didn’t react as strongly or show any disgust. After getting a clear look at Tan Yun, she remarked, “I didn’t expect her to like this type.”
“What type?” Gu Yuan didn’t catch her meaning.
At the same time, Yun Bo sensed their gaze and subtly shifted her posture.
The woman frowned slightly and said, “Seems like the affection runs deep—she’s shielding her under her wings.”
Gu Yuan, still fixated on Tan Yun, didn’t understand. “What wings?”
“Never mind.” The woman had lost interest in explaining, especially since the other side’s gaze had turned icy with hostility. “I didn’t expect her to be so protective.”
Tan Yun, still playing, suddenly sensed something amiss. She put the crab into the net bag and glanced at Yun Bo.
Yun Bo blocked her line of sight, so she couldn’t see clearly, but she could guess someone had ruined the mood.
The woman on the other side wasn’t ready for a confrontation yet and said to Gu Yuan, who looked resentful, “Don’t think about asking your cousin for help again. She can’t do anything about this—and neither can you.”
Gu Yuan caught the implication but refused to back down, glaring at Tan Yun, who was still picking lobsters. “She’s just better at acting innocent and seducing people. I refuse to believe I can’t take her down.”
“You’re still too naive.” The woman sighed. “How much do you really know about the entertainment industry? A woman who’s had plastic surgery, yet has no scandals, and gets personally invited by directors—imagine how powerful her backing must be.”
After the two unwelcome figures left, Yun Bo moved aside and asked, “Anything else you’d like to buy?”
Tan Yun looked at the overflowing shopping cart. “No, this is enough for a few days.”
“My skin has been a bit dry lately, come help me pick out some skincare products.” Yun Bo swiped on her phone screen a few times. When she first arrived here, these things were completely unfamiliar to her, but later she learned their uses and came to appreciate their benefits. Like now—when someone points their phone at you and takes continuous photos, certain things get preserved by them.
“What do you think of this one?” Yun Bo held her phone up to Tan Yun’s face, half-squinting as she inhaled the intoxicating natural fragrance emanating from her body, utterly addictive.
Tan Yun focused on the brand displayed on the phone screen, completely unaware that Yun Bo was currently admiring the curve of her neck.
Yun Bo preferred doing things openly. She adjusted her half-embrace slightly and pressed herself fully against Tan Yun’s back.
When her shoulder blades suddenly came into contact with something soft, Tan Yun’s body stiffened abruptly. Only then did she realize the compromising position they were in—she was completely encircled in Yun Bo’s arms.
Even worse was Yun Bo’s breathing, intermittently ghosting over her neck, stirring something deep within her heart.
“Well?” Yun Bo tilted her head slightly, letting her breath spill directly into Tan Yun’s ear.
A wave of heat surged through Tan Yun’s body, her hand holding the phone trembling slightly as her mind went blank, forgetting whatever she’d just seen on the screen.
“No good?” Yun Bo asked.
After a long pause, Yun Bo leaned forward first, her soft lips brushing against Tan Yun’s ear before grazing her cheek. She guided Tan Yun’s finger to swipe right, saying, “There are a few more here—help me look at these too.”
The heat inside Tan Yun grew increasingly intense, rushing straight to her lower abdomen. She tried to tighten her stomach muscles, but it was already too late.
Soon Yun Bo caught the delightful fragrance emanating from Tan Yun’s body and chuckled softly, “Xiao Yun smells wonderful. What skincare brand do you use?”
Tan Yun couldn’t tell if she was being deliberately teased or if Yun Bo genuinely liked her scent. All she knew was that everywhere Yun Bo’s breath touched felt like being cradled in someone’s palms—her entire body turning soft and pliant.
Yun Bo added fuel to the fire, her arm rubbing against Tan Yun’s slender waist as she said with feigned distress, “What should I do? I’m terrible at making decisions—I absolutely need Xiao Yun’s help.”
One of Tan Yun’s hands still gripped the shopping cart, the only thing anchoring her as she tried to control her reactions.
But when Yun Bo’s slowly rising arm brushed boldly across her chest, the last thread of Tan Yun’s restraint snapped completely.
Yun Bo satisfiedly inhaled that intoxicating fragrance deep into her lungs. “Let’s just buy them all then.”
Tan Yun’s entire face burned crimson. She felt like she’d been taken advantage of, yet somehow she didn’t mind being taken advantage of in this way.
Right now, she just wanted to dig a hole to disappear into, or maybe find some ice to press against her face.
But heaven granted her no such reprieve. Yun Bo, well aware of her current flustered state, took the shopping cart from her hands and said, “Let me handle this!”
Tan Yun trailed behind her like a bullied little lamb. Yun Bo deliberately slowed her pace, wanting to savor this adorable sight.
They left the cart nearby and went upstairs to select skincare products. Surrounded by the various fragrances of cosmetics, Tan Yun’s complexion gradually returned to normal—until Yun Bo picked up a bottle of shower gel, sniffed it, then shook her head disdainfully. “Not as nice as Xiao Yun’s natural scent.”
Her face, which had just cooled down, flushed red again with embarrassment. Tan Yun awkwardly grabbed a bottle of shower gel and shoved it into her arms, saying, “This is the kind I use.”
