What's Wrong with Spoiling You? [Entertainment Industry] - Chapter 23
Tan Yun tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, her mind filled with the lingering sensation of that half-kiss, the warmth still tingling on her lips.
Panting lightly, she sat up and stared at the pink walls.
Knock knock…
Slipping into her slippers, she twisted the doorknob open, only to be abruptly pushed back onto the bed.
Without a word, the intruder kissed her lips hungrily, trailing down to her neck.
“Y-Yun Bo…?” Tan Yun’s eyes widened in disbelief, her breath hot. “What are you doing here?”
Yun Bo nibbled lightly at her collarbone, impatiently slipping a hand under her clothes as she murmured, “I missed you, so I came. Did you miss me?”
“I…” In the darkness, she couldn’t see the face of the person pinning her down, stammering, “Y-yes… I did…”
Yun Bo chuckled triumphantly, her touch growing bolder.
“Show me how much you missed me…”
“Yun Bo…”
Tan Yun nudged the person beside her with her forehead. When no response came, she drowsily opened her eyes.
The “Yun Bo” beside her also opened her eyes, lying gently beneath her.
Tan Yun, overcome with desire, pounced, ready to plant a good-morning kiss on those rosy lips.
But tragedy struck—the beauty beneath her flattened like a pancake.
Horrified, she lifted the flattened “beauty” and realized with despair that her passionate “night of spring” had been spent with a pillow.
Frustrated, she hurled the pillow at the wall, then flung her slippers for good measure before collapsing onto the bed like a deflated balloon, only her misty eyes betraying any emotion.
That perfect night, that seamless harmony—had all been just a dream.
After wallowing for a while, she finally dragged herself up, grabbed clothes from the closet, and headed to the shower.
Once ready, she slipped on her shoes and opened the door to leave for work—only to find the real Yun Bo standing there, head bowed as she scrolled through her phone, as if she’d been waiting for ages.
“Morning!” Yun Bo looked up, locking her phone.
Tan Yun’s bag slipped from her fingers and hit the floor with a thud. Dazed, she managed a reply, “M-morning…”
Yun Bo bent down to pick up the fallen bag and handed her breakfast. “I’ll take you to work.”
Tan Yun stared at the beauty now holding her bag, last night’s vivid fantasies replaying in her mind.
Yun Bo unscrewed a glass bottle. “Freshly ground, just the right temperature.”
Inside the bag were handmade crystal dumplings. Tan Yun popped one into her mouth—it was perfectly to her taste. “How long have you been waiting?”
“Not long.” Yun Bo handed her a pre-prepared straw for the drink.
Warmth spread through Tan Yun’s chest. No one had ever treated her this tenderly except for Tan Mu. The bag held plenty of dumplings, so she asked, “Have you eaten?”
“No, I was planning to eat with you.”
Tan Yun opened the bag and picked up a dumpling with her chopsticks—they were small enough to eat in one bite.
“Xiao Yun,” Yun Bo teased, lips parting, “aren’t you going to feed me?”
Tan Yun raised the chopsticks, delivering the dumpling straight to her mouth.
Yun Bo chewed slowly, savoring it as if it held some secret flavor. “Let’s head downstairs.”
Tan Yun followed behind, stealing glances at Yun Bo’s lips wrapped around the straw, then lower at the pale curve of her neck—the same neck she’d kissed last night, though the memory of its taste had faded.
Yun Bo bit her lower lip, catching Tan Yun’s heated gaze before curling her lips into a sultry smile.
Her legs gave way, and she stumbled forward. Yun Bo leaned back slightly but ended up catching her in a full embrace.
Yun Bo gently patted her back. “It’s okay, I’ve got you.”
Tan Yun stood up from her arms, feeling that it had been somewhat intentional—her embrace had been ready and waiting.
She liked accidents like this.
By the time they reached the downstairs, Tan Yun was still holding a large bag of crystal buns. She had already eaten several, and her throat felt a little dry. She wondered if the beauty would offer her the soy milk she was holding.
Of course, she wouldn’t mind at all.
Yun Bo checked the time—it was still early enough to make it to the office. She looked at the person eyeing her glass cup and asked, “Xiao Yun, are you thirsty?”
“I am,” Tan Yun admitted honestly.
“Want some soy milk?” Yun Bo tilted her head but didn’t immediately hand it over.
Tan Yun nodded eagerly, craving the soy milk in her hands.
She proactively held out the bag of crystal buns, hoping to trade it for Yun Bo’s soy milk.
The two exchanged their items. Tan Yun, as if parched, immediately clamped her lips around the straw.
Meanwhile, Yun Bo held the bag of buns without eating any. After gulping down a mouthful of soy milk, Tan Yun licked her lips and asked, “Why aren’t you eating?”
“Because I want you to feed me,” Yun Bo replied naturally, her eyes curving into crescents as she smiled.
After yesterday’s incident, Tan Yun decided she couldn’t afford to be so shy anymore. She had to be bolder if she wanted to keep the beauty by her side.
She took another sip of soy milk before swapping the cup back for the buns. This time, Yun Bo deliberately took another sip right in front of her, fingers lightly spinning the cup.
Tan Yun, thinking they had just shared another indirect kiss, picked up a bun and held it to Yun Bo’s lips.
Yun Bo chewed and swallowed before commenting, “These buns are a bit small.”
Tan Yun took one for herself and found it just right. “They’re the perfect size—one bite each, very convenient.”
Yun Bo chuckled and ate another bun that Tan Yun fed her.
Breakfast finally wrapped up after about ten minutes. Yun Bo pointed at the bicycle in the hallway. “I’ll take you there.”
Tan Yun stared dizzily at her pink bicycle. Just last night, she had considered replacing it, but now it seemed useful after all.
She had never been given a ride before, and her eyes sparkled with excitement as she eagerly wheeled the bike out.
Yun Bo clearly remembered the days when young people rode bicycles through streets and alleys, ringing their bells. Back then, she hadn’t dared to touch such things.
Taking the bike from Tan Yun, Yun Bo smoothly swung her leg over and settled onto the seat.
Only then did Tan Yun realize—the beauty hadn’t worn a qipao today because she had planned to ride her to work.
She silently recalled her weight from the last company health check.
About 94 pounds?
Tan Yun lifted her arm and pinched the flesh there, then glanced down from her waist to her toes. Surely, she wasn’t that heavy, right?
She pondered whether to sign up for a gym membership tomorrow and start a weight-loss plan—just to slim down a little more.
Yun Bo turned her head, interrupting her thoughts. “Xiao Yun, do you trust me?”
