What's Wrong with Spoiling You? [Entertainment Industry] - Chapter 37
Yun Bo gave her a doting smile. “Alright, sweetheart, we can go home now.”
Mi Nuan unclenched her fist and said, “If you don’t mind, we could go out for a drink.”
Tan Yun replied decisively, almost as if she wanted nothing to do with her. “No need. We have other matters to attend to.”
Zhou Huixiu, who had been listening nearby, couldn’t take it anymore and said coldly, “Come see me later. I have something to say to you.”
……
……
With the sample garment completed, Tan Yun had to prepare for the competition in City A.
On the day of departure, Yun Bo drove her there. Along the way, Tan Yun hesitated about how to tell her that she wanted to live together.
Cheng Xiaoai had already booked a hotel for her online. Staring anxiously at the scenery outside the window, Tan Yun coughed lightly. “So, Yun Bo, where are you staying this time?”
“At a hotel.”
Tan Yun let out a disappointed “Oh.” The beauty had already found a place to stay…
She fiddled with her fingers, wondering if she should say she had nowhere to stay—that might give her a reason.
She hesitated the entire journey, and even when they arrived at the hotel, she still hadn’t figured out how to bring it up.
Yun Bo carried the luggage inside and helped her check in, then said with a smile, “I drove you here myself and carried all your things. Don’t you think you should repay me?”
“Repay?” Tan Yun was puzzled.
“I haven’t found a place to stay. Shouldn’t you take me in?”
The surprise was so unexpected that Tan Yun nodded eagerly. “Yes, I’ll take you in!”
Just as the two were laughing together, a cold sneer cut through the air.
The competition venue was nearby, so most participants had chosen to stay at this hotel.
Tan Yun turned around and saw Gu Yuan standing behind them, looking disdainful as if she had spotted something vile.
Gu Yuan walked over, eager to settle old scores. “I didn’t expect you to be staying at this hotel too.”
Last time, she had lacked confidence, but this time she wouldn’t be so weak. Tan Yun immediately stepped in front of Yun Bo and retorted, “What, is this hotel yours?”
“Not mine, and certainly not yours,” Gu Yuan said, slapping her ID card onto the counter.
Tan Yun gritted her teeth. “If it’s not yours, why do you care where I stay?”
Gu Yuan crossed her arms and looked down her nose. “I’m just giving you a friendly warning—this woman beside you…”
She trailed off with a mocking “tsk tsk.” “She’s not clean.”
This completely enraged Tan Yun. Clenching her fists, she snapped, “Say that again, I dare you.”
Gu Yuan smirked, feigning sympathy. “You still don’t know what this woman does, do you?”
“Do you think I know less than you?” In Tan Yun’s heart, Yun Bo was as pure as a goddess—no one could tarnish her. “Don’t you dare slander her.”
“I’m telling you, she’s—”
Before she could finish, Gu Yuan’s ID card was flung far away.
Yun Bo picked up the room key and gave her a sidelong glance. “You’d better think carefully about what you’re about to say.”
“How dare you throw my things?” Gu Yuan lifted her chin, then suddenly feigned realization, dragging out her words. “Oh~ I get it. You’re afraid I’ll reveal what you really do, aren’t you? Well, today I’m going to tell her.”
Yun Bo placed the room card in Tan Yun’s palm and said, “There are some scenes I don’t want you to see. Go upstairs first, I’ll join you shortly.”
Tan Yun shook her head, automatically assuming these scenes involved Yun Bo fighting with Gu Yuan. “No!” she declared firmly, but her response only amused Yun Bo.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be fighting with her yet. Once my hands get dirty, they won’t get dirty a second time.”
Gu Yuan quickly unzipped her bag and pulled out her phone. “I’m telling you, all the evidence is right here on my phone. I’m going to show it to her now.”
“Be good and go upstairs first.” Yun Bo gently smoothed Tan Yun’s hair. “If you don’t listen, I’ll get angry.”
Clutching the room card tightly, Tan Yun hesitated before finally nodding. She chose to trust her beloved.
“Then I’ll wait for you upstairs!”
“Good!” In an instant, all tenderness vanished from Yun Bo’s eyes, replaced by a predatory, murderous glare.
Gu Yuan unlocked her phone, opened the photo album, and grabbed Tan Yun’s arm. “Don’t leave yet. There’s something you need to see first—it won’t take long.”
With equal speed, Yun Bo seized Gu Yuan by the throat and threatened, “I’d rather not cause trouble during your competition. You’d better behave.”
Applying pressure, she soon had Gu Yuan gasping for air, who could only glare and wheeze, “If…if you don’t let go…I’ll call the police!”
Even Tan Yun was shocked by her impulsiveness. Hotel staff rushed over, urging Yun Bo to release her grip.
Maintaining her composure, Yun Bo repeated, “Be good. Go upstairs.”
Biting her lip, Tan Yun said, “Yun Bo, I trust you!”
Only when Tan Yun disappeared into the elevator did Yun Bo finally let go. Disdainfully, she walked to the front desk, took a wet wipe, and calmly cleaned her hands.
Gulping for air, Gu Yuan gasped, “I’m reporting you! I’m calling the police! I’ll sue you for attempted murder!”
“Sue me?” Yun Bo found this amusing. “Perhaps you should speak to my lawyer first about plagiarizing others’ work.”
“You!” Gu Yuan stared uncertainly, reassuring herself—no one had seen her take the work, and she’d never admitted it to anyone. There couldn’t possibly be any evidence.
Bolstered by this thought, she retorted, “Oh, that? Come talk to me when you have proof.”
Yun Bo tossed the used wipe into the trash. “What if I told you I already do?”
Gu Yuan burst out laughing. “Do I look like someone who plagiarizes? All my work comes from my own inspiration.”
“Really?” Yun Bo’s smile was knowing. “Then this time, you’ve miscalculated.”
Still shaken, Gu Yuan clutched her phone, realizing she couldn’t show the photo to Tan Yun in front of Yun Bo. Today had been impulsive—she could have waited until before the competition to undermine Tan Yun’s confidence.
She picked up her ID, retrieved her room key, and sneered, “You’re going to regret this.”
