What's Wrong with Spoiling You? [Entertainment Industry] - Chapter 6
Ever since the beauty next door arrived, Tan Yun hadn’t been able to sleep in again. She thought she was waking up early enough, but the beauty next door was always earlier. This time, all she caught was a glimpse of the beauty’s delicate fingers resting on the stair railing.
She leaned against the railing, staring dreamily until the beauty disappeared from sight, then reluctantly dragged her feet back home.
Just as she was about to step over the threshold, her gaze fell on a pink envelope lying on the doormat. She bent down to pick it up, and when she saw the character “Bo” in the bottom right corner, her eyes widened in disbelief.
It took her a while to react. Leaning against the wall, she tilted her chin slightly and sniffed the envelope’s fragrance, a light jasmine scent lingering at her nose. Her face soon melted into an intoxicated expression.
After savoring the moment, she held the envelope in her palm, feeling the slight bulge inside, wondering what the beauty had written in response.
Carefully peeling open the seal, she slipped two fingers inside and pulled out the contents. When she saw what it was, she froze in shock, hands trembling as she stared at the door across from hers.
“A… a key?” She gulped, clutching the key to her chest. Approaching the beauty’s door, she hesitated, then abruptly withdrew her hand, pressing her back against the door as she agonized, “What if she saw me lurking outside her door and is testing me on purpose?”
The thought made Tan Yun quickly toss the key back into the envelope, slapping her forehead in frustration. She glanced around nervously, checking for hidden cameras.
After a long search turned up nothing, she stared gloomily at the key lying in the envelope and tried to console herself. “Maybe she was impressed by my literary talent, moved by my heartfelt words, and decided to give me a key to visit her place?”
“But who just hands over a key and lets someone wander around their home?” Tan Yun slumped in defeat, cupping her chin as she crouched by the beauty’s door, sighing dramatically.
Having the key to the beauty’s home should have been a joyous occasion, but for her, it had become a hot potato.
She pushed herself up from the wall, took a few steps back, and tilted her head, eyes darting around. Raising her right hand, she pointed at the key in her left palm and declared, “Miss, look, I found this key.”
Then she nibbled her finger, realizing how unconvincing that sounded, and tried again. “Miss, you dropped your key on my doormat. I’m returning it to you now.”
With a feigned air of nonchalance, she strode to the beauty’s door, placed the envelope down, and turned to leave—only to regret it the moment her hand touched her own doorknob. Finding a justification, she dashed back, picked up the key, and said with a serious expression, “There are too many people coming and going in this building. Leaving your key here isn’t safe. How about I hold onto it for you?”
“Good, then it’s settled.” After muttering to herself, she quickly turned away, covering her mouth to stifle a giggle. Taking a deep breath, she pushed open the door with her other hand.
Lying in bed, Tan Yun held the key up, studying it intently. Through it, she imagined the beauty gracefully eating with chopsticks, then walking to the bathroom, her cheongsam slipping from her shoulders, revealing—
“Pervert!” she scolded herself, pulling the thin blanket over her flushed face. Yet, unable to resist, she shyly revisited the fantasy in her mind, legs rubbing together lightly.
“Ahhhh! I can’t take this!” She jumped off the bed, pulled open the bedside drawer, put the keys inside, locked it, then quickly ran to the bathroom to splash cold water on her face.
