Willow on the Palace Wall (Lily ABO) - Chapter 4
004: You Want to Fuck Me?
Su Ce turned to leave, but Xiao Chu quickly gripped her sleeve. She didn’t use much strength, her brows furrowed in a way that made her willow-leaf eyebrows look like trembling new shoots in the spring breeze. Tears spun in her charming phoenix eyes, hiding much of their usual cunning and making her look especially pitiable.
“Sis… Sister, are you leaving me?”
“You have to go in by yourself,” Su Ce replied, with a gentleness she didn’t even realize was in her voice.
She suddenly thought of her imperial concubine mother, who had passed away long ago. She was a frail and delicate Omega who always inspired a feeling of boundless pity and protectiveness in others, but she was also a woman who was powerless to survive without protection.
“Don’t be afraid. I’ll help you.” Xiao Chu looked at her blankly, and a single tear slipped down her cheek. Su Ce reached out to wipe it away, but Xiao Chu took a step back in a panic.
“I… I…” She tried to explain but couldn’t find the words.
“Go,” Su Ce said with a soft, unconcerned smile. An Omega’s fear of physical contact with others was ingrained, and she was no exception.
••••
“We’ve been stuck in this godforsaken place for half a month. Forget about an Omega, we haven’t even seen or touched a female Beta! It’s a real motherfucker!”
The soldiers of the Great Yan Dynasty were mostly Alphas and male Betas. Female Betas were extremely rare, and when they did serve, it was usually in the capital for patrol support. It was very uncommon to see one in a border garrison.
A few soldiers on night watch had managed to get their hands on two jars of local liquor. The alcohol was extremely strong, and they were so eager for a drink that they passed the jars back and forth, drinking heartily without bothering to find cups or bowls.
Although there was a strict no-drinking policy under Su Ce’s command, she knew that in this desolate place, when there was no fighting, the soldiers with all their pent-up energy needed something to release it. So, most of the time, she simply turned a blind eye.
“What do you mean, there aren’t any?” The burliest Alpha among them used his sleeve to wipe the liquor from his chin and dark mustache. He pointed fiercely in one direction. “There’s one right there!”
The others followed his gaze and were shocked to see he was pointing at the general’s tent, the one in the very center of the camp!
“Are you insane?! That’s the Eldest Princess! How can you even dare to have such thoughts?!”
“So what if she’s the Eldest Princess? She’s still a woman! I don’t even care that she’s a Beta, hic…” The strong liquor had reddened the Alpha’s eyes and clouded his mind.
He wasn’t a citizen of the Great Yan but a local herdsman who had joined the army to avoid starvation. The concept of respecting a ruler was not something he took to heart.
Local herdsmen worshipped nature and strength, believing that Alphas were supreme, Omegas were valuable treasures for procreation, and Betas were useless and inferior. A man who differentiated into a Beta automatically became a slave, while a woman became a tool for an Alpha’s pleasure. If she ever became pregnant, the pregnancy was often beaten out of her and a child was never born.
“…It’s her good fortune that I want her!” he shouted, patting his chest. “If I have a good time fucking her, I might even give her a child!”
“I’m afraid I can’t accept that good fortune.”
No one saw how Su Ce appeared before them. The faces of the soldiers turned white with shock, as if they had been branded by a hot iron. They fell to their knees in unison, trembling uncontrollably like a sieve, wanting to bury their heads in their pants.
“You want to fuck me?” Su Ce stared at the liquor jars on the ground. The pale yellow liquid was flowing out, spreading in thin streams all over the dirt. The potent smell of alcohol hung thick in the air.
Although Su Ce held the title of Eldest Princess, she had been mixing with these rough soldiers since before she differentiated. The complicated etiquette her noble aunt had taught her had long since been forgotten.
The drunken Alpha’s terror had sobered him instantly. Although he felt resentment, he knew that a subordinate insulting a superior was a capital crime punishable by the extermination of one’s entire family. He knelt on the ground, his head dripping with cold sweat, kowtowing repeatedly with loud thuds.
“General, please forgive me! I… I was bewitched. I deserve to die ten thousand deaths, Eldest Princess…”
“Forgive you?” Su Ce slowly drew the two-foot-long Mian sword sheathed at her waist. She held it with one hand, pointing it at the man. The blade gleamed in the moonlight and hummed ominously. The kneeling soldiers grew even more frightened. Everyone knew that once General Su Ce’s blade was drawn, it was bound to see blood!
“If you can beat me, forget about being forgiven—you’ll get a promotion and a higher rank.”
Then, she suddenly smiled, a blossoming spring flower. Her almond eyes curved into crescents, revealing a hint of unexpected charm. “As for fucking me? If you can truly win, we can talk about it.”
