Summary
Synopsis:
Lian Liejin transmigrated to a continent called Pengqiu, a land that believes in the power of the stars. Everyone is able to observe the stars, enter the Dao, and become a Star Cultivator.
Except for her.
Yet, she possesses another kind of awe-inspiring power.
If others were to know, it would bring about a deadly disaster, so in their eyes, she is just a waste with a privileged background.
Thus, her birth mother and cheap old dad set up a marriage contract between her and the Seventh Princess, Gao Jingxi, hoping this would provide her some protection.
Marrying a princess means being unable to enter officialdom, being a kept woman (literally: eating soft rice), and having no freedom for the rest of her life.
But heaven knows, the money-grubber Lian Liejin simply wanted to open an online drugstore (like a Taobao medicine shop) and embark on the road to riches.
Lian Liejin: “…Soft rice, though not fragrant, is filling.”
Meanwhile, the Seventh Princess Gao Jingxi, rumored to be devastatingly beautiful and noble and aloof, actually already had a sweetheart.
Unexpectedly, on the first night of the wedding, the two people who couldn’t stand the sight of each other accidentally sparked a flame…
Mini-Scene 1.
Gao Jingxi gives a wicked smile: “Don’t think that just because I’m beautiful, my heart is beautiful too.”
Lian ‘Hard-Eating Soft Rice’ Liejin: “Heh heh, is that all you’ve got?”
However, this bowl of soft rice in her hand somehow started tasting better and better.
Mini-Scene 2.
The “Vinegar Essence” Gao Jingxi: “What I want is more than just your loyalty.”
Lian Liejin frowns: “No, that costs extra.”
