Summary
Synopsis:
A possessive puppy-like top and an elegant yet broken bottom—also known as: I Came Back to Life After My Wife Had Been Widowed for Years.
They are both completely unhinged in this love story steeped in hatred, anguish, and obsession!! Devoted-puppy fiction.
When Ji Chun opened her eyes again, she confirmed that she had transmigrated into the torturous ABO novel she had read before going to sleep—the kind that put its characters through physical and emotional agony before finally ending happily.
She felt the fifty yuan in her pocket and decided to let a car run her over so she could transmigrate back.
The moment she made up her mind, a speeding Maybach pulled to a smooth stop in front of her.
The window slowly rolled down. An exquisitely beautiful woman raised her eyes and regarded her with cool indifference.
“Get in.”
—
Ji Chun appeared to have become someone’s kept woman.
And the person keeping her was an exceptionally wealthy Omega.
Her benefactor was cold and aloof, utterly unapproachable. Whenever Ji Chun moved even slightly closer, the woman practically launched herself away, as though she had brought Ji Chun home merely to serve as a decorative mascot.
So Ji Chun obediently stayed at home and enjoyed the staggering fortune that had fallen straight into her lap.
Until the third day after being taken in, when her benefactor tossed her a respectable set of clothes.
“Come home with me to meet my family.”
“?”
“My family has already seen your photograph. They’re very satisfied with you.”
“?”
—
After they obtained their marriage certificate at lightning speed, the previously abstinent Omega became a completely different person.
Late at night. A bath. A fitted qipao. Red wine. Scorching, overwhelming pheromones.
Ji Chun’s entire body was saturated with the Omega’s powerful scent. Still, she restrained herself and maintained the proper distance expected of a kept canary, leaving herself in an utterly miserable state.
Until one day, the Omega gave her a packet of medicinal powder with a complicated look in her eyes.
“Take it beforehand.”
Ji Chun looked at the woman’s ears, which had turned bright red, then lowered her gaze to the large words printed on the packet.
“Extra-Strength Alpha Sexual Performance and Endurance Medicine.”
Many days after they officially got together, Ji Chun looked at the elegant, classically beautiful woman before her, who had buttoned her clothes all the way to the very last button.
“So why did you seem so resistant to me touching you when I first arrived?”
The woman parted her lips slightly, a hint of reproach in her eyes.
“Engaging in marital relations before marriage would have been improper.”
—
After realizing how much she, the little kept canary, meant to Pei Heng, Ji Chun completely stopped holding herself back.
After being provoked for the umpteenth time by a wealthy young Alpha, Ji Chun took advantage of Pei Heng being abroad on a business trip and nearly rammed the woman into paralysis on a racetrack.
The moment the Omega learned what had happened, she flew back from overseas that very night.
Wearing sunglasses, she strode through the hospital entrance. The sleeves of her pale coat were rolled up, revealing a string of traditional Buddhist prayer beads around one delicate wrist.
She grabbed the detained Ji Chun and dragged her straight outside.
The bodyguards behind her stopped everyone who tried to rise. Pei Heng did not spare even half a glance for the person lying half-dead on the hospital bed.
“My child is kind and pure by nature. There is absolutely no possibility that she would do something to deliberately harm another person. Do I really need to explain how much of this is fabricated slander?”
“Besides, everyone who enters a racetrack accepts responsibility for winning, losing, injury, or death. Even if she did it deliberately, so what?”
The corner of Ji Chun’s mouth had barely begun to rise when, the instant she climbed into the car, the cold-faced woman pinned her against the window.
Pei Heng removed her sunglasses, revealing a pair of reddened eyes brimming unmistakably with tears.
“If you ever go somewhere that dangerous again, I’ll skin you alive.”
Ji Chun watched as the beauty mark beneath the outer corner of Pei Heng’s left eye dipped with her expression.
She thought that Pei Heng had a pair of eyes capable of shedding tears for her.
Content warning: There will be angst. Neither of them is remotely normal.
—
The truth was, she had secretly cried for many years.
The whole world knew.
Everyone except Ji Chun.
Note: This story has futuristic technology. When people die, as long as their bodies have not been destroyed, they can be placed in cryogenic pods and revived. There are even helicopters waiting at traffic lights in the sky. It is not an interstellar setting, however. President Pei drives a car in Chapter One because her pilot’s license has been suspended.
All the futuristic technology was invented by the author with absolutely no scientific basis. Whether the technological setting can withstand scrutiny is beside the point. Later in the story, when the puppy flies a UFO, people mistake her for an alien and shoot her down.
