The Homophobic Woman Is Reborn And Turns the Best Actress Gay - Chapter 10
Naturally, Gu Su’an did not mind having her picture taken. After all, she had been prepared for that from the day she entered the entertainment industry.
But when she thought about the fact that Ye Shixun was the one taking her picture, a different feeling arose in her heart.
Ye Shixun carefully looked Gu Su’an over.
The gown was well designed, but Gu Su’an naturally had the perfect figure for wearing clothes. Rather than the gown enhancing her beauty, it was Gu Su’an who gave the gown a soul.
Ye Shixun secretly thought about how wonderful it would be if she could keep Gu Su’an confined by her side forever.
However, that thought flashed through her mind only briefly before she completely abandoned it.
Everything she was doing now was for Gu Su’an, so that Gu Su’an could rise higher and go farther.
After taking the picture, Ye Shixun walked toward Gu Su’an with a faint smile on her face.
“Let’s go.”
Afterward, Ye Shixun suggested that they go take a look at the house Gu Su’an would be renting.
Gu Su’an checked the time. Since it was not too late yet, she agreed.
Together, the two arrived in an upscale luxury residential district where all sorts of prominent figures lived.
Gu Su’an could not help looking at Ye Shixun, who was focused on driving.
She desperately wanted to know who Ye Shixun truly was and why a mysterious aura always seemed to surround her.
Moreover, everything Ye Shixun had done for her was simply bewildering.
Ye Shixun parked the car, and the two got out together.
“This is the villa I’m temporarily looking after. Everything inside can be used, so there’s no need to be polite while living here. My friend is usually traveling outside and will probably come back around the New Year to take a look.”
Ye Shixun pointed at the mansion and explained casually.
Ye Shixun had several close friends from the orphanage.
Although some had later been reunited with their biological parents while others had been adopted, they had maintained occasional contact over the years.
The owner of this house was one of those friends.
However, that friend had always been unable to stay in one place.
One night, she suddenly decided that she wanted to visit Tibet. Then she suffered a breakup the following day and immediately ran off to cleanse her wounded soul.
Thus, Ye Shixun had benefited from the situation.
“Let’s go inside first. See whether you like it. If you don’t, we can find another place.”
Ye Shixun wanted to satisfy Gu Su’an’s wishes as much as possible.
She now had enough ability to allow Gu Su’an to be willful, but Gu Su’an was not a willful person. She merely said that having somewhere to live was enough and that she was not particular about anything else.
After they entered, Ye Shixun skillfully removed the cloth covers from the furniture, revealing clean, nearly new furnishings.
Gu Su’an’s heart stirred slightly.
After going in circles, she returned to the same question once again.
Why was Ye Shixun helping her so wholeheartedly?
“Sit for a while. I’ll clean up the rooms. Tomorrow, we’ll hire a moving company to bring your things over, and you can live here from now on.”
Ye Shixun’s voice was full of anticipation.
She was not excited about the new house, but rather about being able to stay close to Gu Su’an—even if they were merely neighbors separated by two walls.
However, Gu Su’an’s next sentence completely deflated her.
“Once filming for my new drama finishes, the company will arrange an apartment for me.”
Gu Su’an was merely stating the truth, but when she caught sight of the pain in Ye Shixun’s eyes, she immediately felt guilty.
Ye Shixun understood that unless she and Gu Su’an established a relationship, Gu Su’an would eventually leave.
Knowing it was one thing, but hearing Gu Su’an say it so directly was another experience entirely.
After thinking for a moment, Gu Su’an comforted her.
“However, there’s still a long time before filming ends. I’ll still have to trouble you during this period.”
“No, no, you won’t be troubling me at all. How could you staying here be a bother? You can remain for as long as you like. You won’t disturb anyone.”
Ye Shixun hurriedly spoke, afraid Gu Su’an might overthink things.
Seeing Ye Shixun’s emotions shift because of her, Gu Su’an inexplicably felt several indescribable emotions rise within her heart.
Gu Su’an remained silent, and the empty room became exceptionally quiet.
Ye Shixun did not find it awkward. Instead, she cherished every minute and every second she spent with Gu Su’an.
After checking the time, Ye Shixun quickly finished tidying the place and drove Gu Su’an back.
Once they returned to the small house, Ye Shixun watched Gu Su’an hurriedly change into the evening gown and apply her makeup.
Ye Shixun smiled softly.
“Don’t rush. If you’re running late, I’ll drive you there.”
“There’s no need. My manager will come pick me up shortly.”
Gu Su’an was not rejecting Ye Shixun’s kindness.
The company had already assigned her a manager, and if she did not establish a good relationship with the woman first, it might cause many difficulties in her future work.
Ye Shixun’s gaze dimmed slightly before she forced herself to brighten up.
“That’s fine. I also have a reception to attend tonight. It isn’t particularly important to me, so once you leave, I’ll go there and freeload on the food. Haha, don’t I sound rather pitiful?”
Ye Shixun laughed heartily.
Gu Su’an pursed her lips and chuckled, expressing sympathy for Ye Shixun having to attend a reception merely because she was hungry and wanted a free meal.
The atmosphere between them was no longer awkward and had instead become much more cheerful.
Before long, Gu Su’an received a phone call, said goodbye to Ye Shixun, and quickly left.
Watching Gu Su’an’s retreating figure, Ye Shixun seemed to lose all her strength and collapsed sideways onto the sofa.
Soon, a call came through on Ye Shixun’s phone.
Seeing Zhou Shihan’s name displayed on the screen, Ye Shixun instinctively answered.
“Hello, Shihan. What do you need?”
Ye Shixun’s voice sounded somewhat exhausted.
She had been busy day and night and desperately wanted to find time to sleep properly.
But without Gu Su’an beside her, she could not sleep peacefully.
She feared that when she woke up, Gu Su’an would disappear.
Or perhaps she had never been reborn at all and was merely a wandering ghost drifting through the world.
Hearing Ye Shixun’s voice, the first thing that shocked Zhou Shihan was how she addressed her.
The name “Shihan” left Zhou Shihan momentarily dazed.
Unless she remembered incorrectly, the two of them had not interacted very much and did not seem close enough to address each other by name yet.
After hearing no response from the other end for a long time, Ye Shixun suddenly remembered that she was not familiar with Zhou Shihan after her rebirth.
Yet her tone had already been more intimate than that of ordinary friends.
Feeling annoyed with herself, Ye Shixun chuckled.
“Miss Zhou truly is amusing. A simple form of address was enough to leave you stunned.”
“Hahaha, I was indeed a little dazed. Since we’ve already chosen to work together, you don’t need to call me Miss Zhou anymore. Just call me Shihan, as a friend would.”
Once Zhou Shihan recovered, she immediately returned to her usual demeanor.
Ye Shixun lightly snorted before asking, “Why are you calling so late?”
“I told you there would be a reception tonight. I won’t concern myself with what you’re planning for now, but many important figures from the entertainment industry will be attending.”
“I’ll also be going. If you have nothing else to do, come with me and take a look around. Meeting more people in the industry and building additional connections can only be beneficial.”
“Don’t worry. I’ve already arranged everything. I originally planned to send the company’s vice president, but since Shihan has personally instructed me, there’s no harm in going myself.”
“I can also freeload on a meal while I’m there.”
Ye Shixun placed the phone on speaker mode on the sofa, then turned around to choose several suitable outfits.
“Mm. Actually, I’m not doing all of this solely for myself. The truth is…”
Zhou Shihan wanted to explain something but felt that no matter what she said, it would sound powerless.
After changing clothes, Ye Shixun picked up her phone and interrupted her.
“Whatever your purpose may be, all I know is that the company belongs to me now. I will do everything I can to run it properly.”
“As long as it remains within my capabilities, Boss, you can play however you like.”
Ye Shixun laughed softly.
She had never known that Zhou Shihan also had moments when she worried about things.
It now seemed that Zhou Shihan’s decision to enter the entertainment industry was truly not a joke, nor was it merely for entertainment as she had claimed.
There was something she needed to accomplish—some purpose that left her no choice but to enter the industry.
Ye Shixun’s comforting words left Zhou Shihan silent for a moment.
Then a soft laugh came through the phone.
“That’s true. The company belongs to you now. There’s no reason you wouldn’t do your best.”
