A OO Love After Officially Announcing with the Best Actress - Chapter 24.1
No one opened the door from inside. Lin Ke leaned slightly forward, her eyes moving toward the peephole, when the door was pulled open from inside by a crack.
Lin Bingran looked at her from behind the door and said faintly, “Something wrong?”
Lin Ke bowed to the gap in the door. “Teacher Lin, I came to apologize to you.”
Lin Bingran looked at her through the crack. “…I forgive you.”
That was way too obviously perfunctory!
Lin Ke said, “Can I come in and say it? I brought my own snacks.”
Lin Bingran lowered her eyes. The palm gripping the door handle was already covered in hot sweat. “Do you think you’re coming to a tea party? You even brought snacks.”
At the doorway were two bags of snacks, piled half as tall as a person. They were all puffed snacks, chips, and spicy gluten strips that artists usually could not eat. Lin Ke had come to cater to her preferences.
Lin Ke hurriedly said, “I prepared other things too!”
The other bag contained hot meals from delivery. Lin Bingran had no interest at all and reached out to close the door.
“Teacher Lin!” A foot suddenly wedged into the doorway. Lin Ke pressed half her body against the door, her strength surprisingly great. “Give me one chance!”
Lin Bingran pressed her lips together. Encountering this kind of unreliable person during her heat was truly enough.
She stepped back, and the door opened by another two fists’ width.
“I also prepared drinks.” With one foot braced against the door, Lin Ke took out a blue water bottle from behind her. It was half filled with green tea. She stood foolishly at the doorway, showing her sincerity. “Teacher Lin, I’ve discovered that green tea is especially delicious. It’s much better than green plum wine!”
This was the first time Lin Ke had ever belittled her own pheromones like this. She felt a little guilty, so after saying it, she had to add in her heart: green plum is forever the god.
Lin Bingran: “…”
To show her sincerity, Lin Ke unscrewed the bottle and took a sip. It was too bitter. Before she could even speak, the bitterness made her nose and eyes wrinkle together.
Lin Bingran: “…”
Lin Ke coughed. “Cough, cough, cough! Teacher Lin! Strong tea refreshes the mind. Would you like a sip?”
“Are you done?” Lin Bingran’s expression was cold. She had a very beautiful pair of eyes, the corners naturally lowered and then lifted at the ends, carrying a hooked shape. At this moment, they were tinged with red. Her nose, ears, cheeks, and lips were all flushed with a pinkness she usually did not have.
Lin Ke had noticed it for a while. Was her cold not better yet? She blinked. This was a perfect chance to serve like an ox or a horse!
Lin Bingran said, “Leave the things. The person can go.”
So not only did she not forgive her, she also wanted to swallow up her pile of snacks.
Lin Ke pulled two pages of paper out from the back pocket of her pajamas. It was the script for the scene they had failed to film properly during the day. As if she had planned this long ago, she said sincerely, “Teacher Lin, I didn’t perform well in that scene. Please teach me.”
Lin Bingran: “…”
“Not convenient,” Lin Bingran said coldly. “I’m going to sleep.”
Lu Tu’s voice rang in Lin Ke’s mind like a demonic chant: “Sincerity! Sincerity, understand? Once you go, Lin Bingran will definitely brush you off with a couple of casual sentences and say she forgives you when she doesn’t. You have to be thick-skinned…”
Lin Ke thickened her skin and asked, “It’s not even nine yet. Teacher, you’re already going to sleep? Haha, your schedule is so healthy.”
Lin Bingran kept licking her lips. Her throat was dry and itchy. She swallowed, applying weak force with her hand, wanting to push Lin Ke out.
Lin Ke touched her hand. “So hot! Did your cold get worse?”
Lin Bingran said, “You don’t need to care.”
A cold was no small matter. When Lin Ke was little, she had once fainted from a fever. If not for timely rescue, her brain might have been burned damaged.
“Have you taken medicine?” Lin Ke held the doorframe, squeezing half her body a little farther inside. She moved closer to Lin Bingran, forcing her to step back.
As Lin Bingran retreated, the fragrance of green tea filled the air. Lin Ke thought she had simply used too many tea leaves when brewing the tea. “Don’t avoid treatment because you’re scared of illness! Is it inconvenient for you to go to the hospital? I—”
“Enough!” Lin Bingran interrupted her.
Inside and outside the door seemed to form two invisible barriers with a clear boundary between them.
Lin Ke: “…”
Lin Bingran exhaled and said sharply, “You’re not allowed to cry!”
“Then I’ll help you carry the things in!” Lin Ke said.
“I’ll do it myself,” Lin Bingran said.
Lin Ke lifted the bags. There were two of them, heavy in her hands, pressing lines into her palms. Her arms were sore from holding them, yet Lin Bingran still did not reach out to take them.
“What’s wrong?” Lin Ke squeezed out an expression that was half crying and half smiling. “Teacher Lin?”
Lin Bingran tightened her fist. She only had two hands. One was holding the door handle, and the other was hidden behind her back, clutching the toy soaked in sweat.
“…”
Sensing Lin Bingran’s attitude loosen, Lin Ke said eagerly, “It’s a little heavy. I’ll help you carry them in.”
Lin Bingran asked, “Can’t you smell it?”
“What?” Lin Ke did not understand. After two seconds, she realized what Lin Bingran meant. “Oh! I can’t smell it. I took a suppressant injection today.”
Lin Bingran let go and turned sideways, giving her space to enter. “Hurry up.”
“Okay!” Lin Ke carried the things inside.
As soon as she entered the room, a surging wave of pheromones rushed toward her face. For no reason, Lin Ke felt her mouth go dry. She was a little dazed.
Lin Bingran stood behind the door, her hand hidden behind her back, slowly pulling open the storage rack by the entrance.
“Teacher Lin.” Lin Ke suddenly turned around.
Lin Bingran was startled. Her palm was too slick, and the thing in her hand fell directly to the floor. She quickly kicked it under the shoe cabinet.
The shoe cabinet went all the way down to the floor. The object hit it, bounced back, and rolled to Lin Ke’s feet.
Lin Bingran: “…”
Lin Bingran’s feet froze, as if nailed to the wooden floor. She opened her mouth, saw Lin Ke’s puzzled gaze, and suddenly felt a thread of luck.
Lin Ke bent down and picked it up. Her ears were slightly red as she asked, “Teacher Lin, what is this?”
Lin Bingran’s eyelids were flushed, and her heart tightened. “A bedside lamp.”
Lin Ke held the oval object in her palm. As if it burned her hand, she squeezed it lightly, then suddenly lowered her head and smiled shyly. “So even the film queen lies.”
Lin Bingran: “…”
Brat.
With a bang, Lin Bingran slapped the door shut with the back of her hand and locked it at the same time.
Lin Ke was not afraid at all. Holding the object, as if she had grasped Lin Bingran’s weakness, she suddenly became clever. No wonder Lin Bingran refused to let her in no matter what, and why her attitude had been so terrible. She had interrupted the great demon king’s good time.
Lin Ke grinned happily. After grinning, she suddenly felt something was wrong. “Fang Wuyu isn’t here?”
Lin Bingran rummaged through the storage cabinet and found a suppressant and syringe. “Are you looking for her?”
Lin Ke said, “…You two have already done that kind of thing? And you still use this?”
Lin Bingran’s movement of opening the packaging paused. “What have I done with her?”
“Fang Wuyu!” Lin Ke carefully placed the object on the coffee table and even pushed it gently inward. She was bashful and unconsciously lowered the second half of her sentence. “You two are already lovers… and you still use this?”
Lin Bingran’s hands and feet were trembling. She did not hear Lin Ke clearly at all. After taking out the suppressant, she removed the protective cap from the needle, pushed aside the hair at the back of her neck, and raised her right hand, just about to move.
The ceiling light flickered for several seconds, making the sound of electricity jumping wildly.
Then the light went out.
The entire room fell into darkness.
Lin Ke cried, “Ah!”
Lin Bingran was startled by the sudden darkness. The needle went crooked and stabbed into her other arm.
This suppressant was wasted.
Lin Bingran took a deep breath. Every inhale and exhale was filled with heat. “The power’s out. Go back to your room first.”
“T-Teacher Lin, I came to apologize to you…”
Even at a time like this, she still remembered that matter. Lin Bingran angrily closed the drawer, her eyes already fogged with heat.
With the power out, the air conditioner stopped cooling. The pheromones would soon grow even thicker.
Just as Lin Bingran was about to say something, the phone rang.
It was Guo Rongrong calling. The phone was on the coffee table.
Lin Bingran held the cabinet for support and ordered Lin Ke, “Bring me my phone.”
Lin Ke curled up where she was, her voice unsteady. “…Teacher Lin, I have night blindness.”
Troublesome. Lin Bingran felt her way from the wall cabinet to the sofa and found the phone beneath a pillow.
“Rongrong.” Lin Bingran’s voice was hoarse and dry.
“Jie, the power went out. Are you okay?” Guo Rongrong did not suspect anything and thought Lin Bingran’s voice was because she had drunk alcohol.
In the darkness, Lin Bingran looked toward where Lin Ke was. Something was thrown into her arms.
Lin Bingran gave a muffled groan. She picked it up and squeezed it in her hand before realizing what it was.
“I’m fine,” Lin Bingran said. “I was already asleep.”
Guo Rongrong said, “It seems to be a circuit problem. I asked about it. The power should come back in about ten minutes. Is it hot?”
Lin Bingran tugged at her collar. “I’m fine.”
“Then rest early. Remember to drink the hangover soup, or your head will hurt tomorrow.”
The call ended with a beeping tone.
Lin Ke shrank into the corner of the sofa, a shadowy lump moving a few times.
Lin Bingran had adjusted to the light. She stared at her. Sweat had already rolled down her forehead, the tip of her nose, and her chest. Her pheromones spread without restraint, and half her pajamas were damp.
Lin Ke was like a fearless little beast, recklessly charging into her territory.
Lin Bingran tightened her grip on the thing in her hand and compromised. “I forgive you.”
“Then… about the double…”
Lin Bingran did not make promises she was unsure of. “Everything is up to the director.”
Lin Ke said, “Then I…”
Lin Bingran grew impatient. Clutching the thing in her hand, she stood up. “Do whatever you want. I’m going back to my room.”
Lin Ke became anxious. She was also afraid of the dark. Hurriedly, she felt her way toward the sofa, only to trip over the protruding edge and directly fall forward.
She fell into a soft cloud. In that instant, the string in her nerves snapped.
Her arms filled with softness. Lin Ke had knocked Lin Bingran down from behind, her every breath falling beside Lin Bingran’s gland.
“Reckless ghost.” Half annoyed, half angry, shy and alluring, Lin Bingran pushed her away with one hand.
Lin Ke was pushed aside and fell onto the carpet. The body heat, the touch in her arms, and the rich tea fragrance still had not disappeared.
Lin Ke stared blankly, points of light flickering in her eyes. She came back to herself. Finally enlightened, she mumbled, “You… you’re in heat?”
Lin Bingran gave a light hum, her voice thin. When she spoke, it sounded as though she were holding something in her mouth, thick and low. “Only realizing now?”
Lin Ke was a little nervous. She simply turned sideways and lay on the carpet, curling her body tightly like a caterpillar wrapping itself up. “Th-then what do we do?”
Lin Bingran asked, “What do you think?”
Lin Ke said, “Take an injection?”
Lin Bingran said, “I originally had a better solution.”
Lin Ke’s face burned so much she wanted to bury it in her arms. She picked at the carpet, plucking out little bits of fuzz.
She understood…
Lin Bingran’s toy had not been a whim. It was used to relieve the desire brought on by her heat.
Right now, Lin Bingran only wanted to return to her room. Suppressants were no longer enough to satisfy her body. She only wanted relief.
Lin Bingran spoke with difficulty. “Once the power comes back, leave as soon as possible. Don’t tell anyone about this.”
A pair of feet landed beside her and stepped on Lin Ke’s calf. Lin Ke let out a short, low whimper. Lin Bingran froze, slowly moved her foot away, and crouched down.
As the heat source approached, Lin Ke turned her head and buried her face in her arms. She was crying. Her shoulders and neck moved with faint sobs and trembling.
Lin Bingran pressed her lips together. Had she behaved so desperately that she scared her?
Thinking about it carefully, Lin Ke seemed to be only twenty-two, six years younger than her. That was half a generation.
Nearly exhausting all the patience she had in her life, Lin Bingran asked, “…Why are you crying?”
Lin Ke said, “Wuwuwuwuwu.”
Lu Tu lived on the third floor of the hotel. At this moment, she was holding her phone and standing on the balcony, sending messages.
“Why isn’t she replying? Did it work or not?” Lu Tu pondered, but she was also afraid that calling rashly would disturb Lin Ke.
Lu Tu raised her head and looked from the balcony toward the dark sky. Every room was dark. Downstairs, there was even a group of staff gathered outside to enjoy the cool air.
Lin Ke wiped her tears. “Teacher Lin, I’ve used too many short-acting suppressants recently.”
Lin Bingran’s voice trembled. “…Wh-what?”
Lin Ke’s tearful voice carried a soft moan. “I… I’m in heat too.”
Lin Bingran: “…”
Lin Ke’s suppressant had failed. In one room, there were two omegas in heat. The key point was that because of their identities, neither of them could conveniently seek outside help.
At this not-too-early, not-too-late hour, whether there were paparazzi hiding downstairs was unknown.
Lin Ke unconsciously twisted her body and moved closer to the source of heat. “Teacher Lin…”
Lin Bingran grabbed Lin Ke’s hand. Their ten fingers were damp as they clasped together. She wanted to pull her up and drive her out.
“Teacher Lin…” That soft, delicate voice called her back to herself. Only then did Lin Bingran realize that the idea she had imagined—picking Lin Ke up and dragging her out the door—was completely opposite to what her body was doing.
Lin Bingran weakly slid down onto the sofa cushion. Lin Ke curled softly beside her knees, picking at the carpet while crying.
“I’ll find you a suppressant…” Lin Bingran reached past Lin Ke and felt under the coffee table.
Lin Ke dodged. “…Don’t touch me.”
Lin Bingran bit her lip and concentrated. “Who touched you? I’m in heat, but I’m not a beast.”
Lin Ke twisted her waist and tried to stand. She grabbed onto something, and only after gripping it tightly did she realize it was Lin Bingran’s ankle. Subconsciously, she rubbed that bone twice.
Lin Bingran broke free, collapsed weakly, gave up, and said, “Under the coffee table. Search yourself and see if there are any suppressants…”
In the darkness came rustling sounds. Lin Ke asked softly, “How come you’re also… Fang Wuyu didn’t leave a mark on you?”
Lin Bingran was so overheated that her thoughts were sluggish. “Why would she mark me?”
Lin Ke said, “You two don’t mark…”
Suddenly, she remembered that Lin Bingran had once said the entertainment industry was a dazzling, chaotic world, and one-night stands were normal. Only sleeping together without marking was also possible.
Lin Bingran tightened her jaw. “What are you thinking? Fang Wuyu and I have no relationship.”
“No… relationship?”
