Summary
Synopsis:
Pei Hanying had been reborn from the womb—from a miserable corporate slave into the precious little cub of a top-tier wealthy family—and had lived four and a half smooth-sailing years.
It was not until new neighbors moved in, and she personally witnessed a curly-haired, blue-eyed girl as beautiful as a doll being abused by her father in all kinds of twisted ways, that Pei Hanying belatedly realized she seemed to have transmigrated into a novel she had once read.
The doll-like girl in front of her was the great villain who, twenty years later, would nearly destroy the entire world in revenge.
Meeting those jade-green cat eyes, Pei Hanying blinked once—then slipped away.
Life was short. One should enjoy it while one could.
She was only a passing character mentioned in a single sentence in the book. She could not change anything. Pei Hanying comforted herself like that.
Only, every time she ran into Ning Song, the girl had injuries on her body. She was always wearing clothes that did not fit, and though she was clearly a year older than Pei Hanying, she was so thin she looked like a kitten.
Until one day, during a heavy snowstorm, Pei Hanying saw Ning Song locked outside the villa, her cheeks frozen red. In the end, Pei Hanying’s heart softened.
“Little cat, do you want to come to my house as a guest?”
Once her heart softened, Pei Hanying could no longer stand by coldly whenever she saw Ning Song being bullied. Domineeringly, she marked Ning Song as part of her own territory and protected her.
From then on, a curly-haired cat with jade-green eyes appeared at Pei Hanying’s side.
The little cat was very pretty, and very obedient. Every day, she went to and from school with her, helped her eat the things she did not like, and even the occasional words she said were so cute it was deadly.
How was this anything like a great villain!!!
She was clearly the best-behaved Ning Song in the whole world.
But Pei Hanying did not realize that Ning Song’s gaze when it fell on her was growing stickier and darker by the day.
Those jade-green eyes were filled with possessiveness.
