Summary
Synopsis:
Jiang Yuan has transmigrated.
The world isn’t much different from her own. Being a loner with no attachments—and having transmigrated in her original body—she adapts quite well.
One day, after a group dinner, Jiang Yuan saves a woman being harassed in a school alleyway. The woman is bundled up tightly, but behind her oversized sunglasses is a face that is cold, noble, and exquisitely beautiful. Right now, however, her face is flushed, and her eyes are misty—like a lily drenched in morning dew.
Jiang Yuan hurries forward to support her. “Let me take you to the hospital.”
Yu Qingshi struggles to steady herself and suddenly pushes Jiang Yuan away. “Are you an Alpha? No… you’re a Beta.”
Jiang Yuan: “?”
What is she babbling about? I don’t understand a word.
The woman hands Jiang Yuan a syringe and brushes her black hair aside, revealing a fair, slender neck. She turns her head, eyes still brimming with moisture and red lips slightly parted, signaling Jiang Yuan to inject her.
Jiang Yuan: “But… you shouldn’t inject insulin there, right?”
Yu Qingshi: “…”
The next day, while attending a school anniversary ceremony, Jiang Yuan realizes that the woman from that night is the rising star who just won a major international award—the Film Queen, Yu Qingshi.
Jiang Yuan assumed they would never cross paths again, but a few days later, a photo of them embracing under a streetlight goes viral, sparking a media frenzy.
To help Yu Qingshi hide her “gland disorder,” Jiang Yuan signs a contract to play the role of her girlfriend. Amidst constant exposure and public speculation, the two decide to join a celebrity dating show.
The original plan: use the show to demonstrate their “clashing personalities” and then “break up.”
But on the show—
Cooking, traveling, and completing missions, the two share a perfect telepathy; every gesture radiates sweetness.
Jiang Yuan, usually stoic and awkward with others, turns beet-red and stutters the moment she sees Yu Qingshi.
Meanwhile, Yu Qingshi—famous for being cold and otherworldly—reaches out from under the covers in the morning to ask Jiang Yuan for a clingy hug.
Shippers emerge from every corner of the internet, waving their flags: “Mom, I’ve witnessed a miracle! They’re real!”
Later.
The contract ends, and Jiang Yuan tactfully leaves.
The next time she hears news of Yu Qingshi, she learns the star is bedridden with a fever caused by her glands.
Jiang Yuan rushes over in a panic to take care of her.
The sick Omega is pale, her voice raspy but soft. Curled into a tiny ball under the blankets, she looks so pitiful it breaks Jiang Yuan’s heart, yet Jiang Yuan feels helpless.
“Yuan Yuan… I need you.”
“But I’m not an Alpha. I don’t even have pheromones.”
Yu Qingshi chuckles softly, pulls Jiang Yuan’s hand, and draws her into an embrace.
“Being you is enough.”
“Just your scent alone is enough to soothe me.”
Mini Theater:
Yu Qingshi’s heat arrived. Jiang Yuan wasn’t home, so Yu Qingshi hid herself in the closet filled with Jiang Yuan’s scent.
When Jiang Yuan finally found her, the little Omega was wearing her shirt.
Jiang Yuan, who lacked “marking teeth,” was so anxious she was moved to tears. “I don’t know what to do.”
Yu Qingshi turned and pinned her into the corner of the closet. The cold-as-magnolia Omega brushed her long hair aside, just like their first meeting, exposing her ivory neck.
“Be good. I’ll teach you.”
