After Transmigrating as a Beta, I Got Messed Up with an Alpha (BL) - Chapter 50
Pei Yule had never initiated a kiss before, so his movements were green and amateurish, yet surprisingly bold. He didn’t hesitate to lightly suckle and tease the tip of the other’s tongue, a lack of experience that made the act exceptionally provocative.
Huo Juan’s spine stiffened, the veins on the back of his hand bulging slightly. He stared at the pale face just inches away, his dark eyes deep and shadowy, making no move.
After a clumsy moment of sucking and kissing, Pei Yule released him and pulled back slightly. Meeting Huo Juan’s heavy gaze, he tilted his head, trying his best to remain as calm as usual. His voice was a bit husky: “Feel any better?”
Over the past month, Pei Yule had been constantly researching ways to soothe Huo Juan’s pheromone disorder aside from simple physical contact. He had tried many things to no avail.
However, half a month ago, Pei Yule had accidentally lost his primary “first kiss.”
Though it was an accident, it had yielded a specific piece of data: the more intimate the contact between him and Huo Juan, the faster Huo Juan’s pain subsided. Compared to holding hands or hugging, kissing, exchanging saliva, or even deeper contact… while they hadn’t tried anything deeper yet, kissing was clearly more effective. That accident had confirmed it. Even just a kiss on the cheek made Huo Juan feel significantly better.
Though the logic was absurd, strange, and lacked any sense of boundaries, experiment proved it worked. But back then, he was in his “awkward phase” and couldn’t bring himself to try it intentionally. So, after that one accident, he hadn’t tried again.
Huo Juan’s voice was also slightly raspy, carrying an undetectable hint of an approaching storm: “…What does this mean?”
Pei Yule could feel the tension still radiating from the other’s body. Realizing there might be a misunderstanding, he thought for a moment and replied: “It means I want you to get better soon, but it also means… I cherish you?”
He spoke frankly. Though his tone ended with a hint of a question, he followed it up with action. He cupped Huo Juan’s face again, leaning down to kiss the Alpha’s feverish forehead, then his nose, his cheek, and finally his lips. After a second of pressing their lips together, he pried them open again. His tongue made a tentative, unskilled swirl inside before retreating to press against the corner of the man’s mouth. He whispered: “…The one before was to help you get better. This one is because I want to kiss you—mph!”
A large hand clamped onto the back of his head, pressing his face forward as a tongue forced his lips apart, driving inside with a domineering force.
This was a real “kiss.”
Unlike Pei Yule’s amateurish sucking, Huo Juan tangled with his tongue without mercy, kissing him with a force that felt like he wanted to devour him. The palm pressing the back of his head allowed no room for escape. Inside and out, thoroughly and completely, the familiar cold cypress scent entered through his mouth and slid into his body through their shared saliva. The floaty weakness in his limbs left Pei Yule trapped in the man’s embrace, left to be taken and demanded from at will.
Huo Juan thought he would be afraid.
But after the initial surprise, the boy allowed the invasion, even giving a very green, tentative response as their tongues tangled.
Huo Juan didn’t want “treatment.” He didn’t want this person because of physical pain or out of control pheromones.
He wanted him simply because he wanted him.
It was the desire to possess him, to have him exclusively, that created this uncontrollable, maddening impulse to encroach.
…But what if this person didn’t think the same way? Was he only doing this—and responding this way—because he had seen him lose control and thought of this as a solution? Different from the love Huo Juan wanted, the boy might just feel pity.
He was always so soft-hearted. Just like every night, he clearly didn’t want to share a bed, yet every time he would tacitly agree out of a soft heart.
At that thought, Huo Juan opened his eyes, abruptly released the hand on Pei Yule’s head, and pushed him away by his shoulders.
“…?”
Dizzy from the reckless plunder of his mouth, Pei Yule couldn’t react for a moment.
Huo Juan’s fingers, pressing into his shoulders, were white from the strain of restraint. His brow twitched as he said in a deep voice: “…Don’t do things like this just because you pity me.”
Don’t be so completely unresisting. …I will take advantage of it.
“…”
Pei Yule let out a helpless laugh. He thought to himself… this person was clearly smart, but sometimes he wasn’t sharp enough.
He wasn’t a saint or a player; just how good or how loose did someone’s character have to be to actively kiss someone they didn’t like? Especially a man. He certainly wouldn’t do it. Even for the sake of treatment, the most he would ever accept was basic physical contact.
Pei Yule pulled Huo Juan’s hands away and stood up, looking down at the Alpha. The youth looked up at him, his gaze deep and heavy.
Pei Yule was a man, too; he had the same thoughts other men had. He could naturally see the lingering craving in those dark eyes. The guy was holding back, even though his pheromones were out of control. Even Xu Yanxi was worried, saying “he might be in danger,” yet this person had still pushed him away.
The cold cypress scent in the air was beginning to thicken. Xu Yanxi had said Huo Juan took the U-type drug, but it had only provided a temporary reprieve; it hadn’t actually suppressed the core issue. Pei Yule couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.
Before meeting him, this man had lived with the pheromone disorder and endured it, never once losing control. Since meeting him, however, he had lost control repeatedly. If he stayed “rational” now, wouldn’t that be too much?
In the spirit of reciprocity, perhaps he should do something a bit crazy, too.
Pei Yule leaned down, locking eyes with Huo Juan. Under his gaze, he leaned in and touched the man’s lips. “You mean things like this?” he said intentionally, leaning up to kiss his forehead, then working his way down just as before. “Or things like this?”
Finally, he cupped Huo Juan’s face and whispered: “Or maybe… this…” His voice vanished between their lips. He drove his tongue into Huo Juan’s mouth, mimicking the way the Alpha had plundered his just a moment ago.
Pei Yule was a quick learner. Although his experience was meager—and entirely derived from this one person—he was a diligent student. Huo Juan had only kissed him once, but he remembered the sensation and the way of the tongue.
However, compared to Huo Juan’s forceful invasion, his way was much gentler, still carrying that characteristic “green” quality. This amateurishness was incredibly provocative, especially as he kissed him bit by bit while asking questions with a smile. The lethality was terrifying. It was more torturous than any of the unconscious nuzzling he did in his sleep.
The moment he tried to entwine their tongues, Huo Juan felt a string snap in his mind.
“…Mph!”
The consequence of playing with fire was immediate. Pei Yule’s chin was gripped, and the soft tongue turned the tables, launching an aggressive attack that instantly stole all of Pei Yule’s breath. That gentle licking couldn’t provide any satisfaction; it felt like scratching an itch through a boot—it wasn’t enough. Nowhere near enough.
Huo Juan hooked his arm around the boy’s waist and pulled him down, making him fall onto his lap. One hand cradled his face as he sealed his lips. The sudden storm sent the newly “experienced” Pei Yule right back to square one; he couldn’t resist and could only retreat in defeat.
Huo Juan looked so calm on the outside, but his lips and tongue felt like fire, heating Pei Yule up entirely. The relentless deep kisses and the long fingers rubbing and stroking his ear made Pei Yule shrink his shoulders sensitively.
He finally felt a belated sense of fear—not of Huo Juan, but of this unfamiliar flame of passion that drowned out reason and made him feel like the Alpha wanted to tear him apart and swallow him whole.
He understood now. No wonder Huo Juan easily lost control after meeting him. The reason the pheromone disorder was harder to manage was absolutely because the man was forcefully suppressing all these impulses. At this moment, even through a kiss, he could feel the Alpha’s turbulent, unbearable undercurrent. Usually, the guy just looked calm on the surface; underneath, he was a scorching flame.
Sensing his distraction, Pei Yule was suddenly lifted into the air. In the blink of an eye, he was pinned completely to the sofa. He didn’t even have a chance to breathe before his lips were sealed again.
The cold cypress scent poured over him. Not only was his breath stolen, but even the strength to get up was stripped away. All that remained was the stinging of his tongue and the muffled sounds of the relentless kissing.
Pei Yule’s chest felt tight, unable to catch his breath, and tears pricked his eyes from the lack of oxygen. Finally, the dominant, rampaging lips moved away, sliding toward his chin. The wet contact moved from his jaw down to his neck, lingering on his Adam’s apple. Pei Yule snapped out of it and tried to call out: “Wait, Huo… mph!”
His mistake was teasing an Alpha who was already in a state of lost control.
His Adam’s apple was bitten, cutting off his words. The sharp sting that felt like teeth sinking deep into his skin made his scalp prickle. The Alpha pressed down on his face, instinctively exposing the back of his neck. After biting the throat, those sharp teeth lingered at the nape. A Beta has no scent gland, but an Alpha will instinctively pursue ownership of this spot.
I want to bite his neck so badly.
I want to make him cry.
I want to ignore his struggles and make him rise and fall with me.
I want to…
The Alpha, eyes burning red, opened his mouth and bit down without mercy—
“Ah!”
Teeth sank silently into skin, accompanied by a sharp cry.
Xu Yanxi and Bian Chuan, waiting in the next room, exchanged a look and rushed over. They saw the tall Alpha holding the trembling boy in his arms, almost trapping his entire body within his own. That handsome face was beet-red, veins bulging on his forehead, and he was covered in sweat.
He was bowing his head, continuously kissing the boy’s face, eyes, nose, and mouth. When he moved to the neck, Pei Yule visibly recoiled. Huo Juan noticed and a flash of restraint crossed his face. He pulled slightly away from the bitten nape, whispering apology after apology: “I’m sorry…”
Miraculously, with those whispered words, the dense cold cypress scent in the air began to dissipate, as if he were trying his best to retract it because the boy was afraid. He didn’t want to scare him; he didn’t want to hurt him because of his own lack of control.
Just as his loss of control started because of Pei Yule, his self-restraint grew stronger because of him, too. Huo Juan closed his eyes and buried his face in the crook of Pei Yule’s neck, hugging him with a force that felt like he wanted to merge the boy into his own flesh and blood.
Sensing the aggressive pheromones vanishing, Xu Yanxi looked at the two embracing on the sofa and murmured: “…A Beta who can influence an Alpha… so they really do exist?”
He had known Huo Juan since childhood. This was the first time he’d seen the man’s pheromones go from intense to nothing—not because of drugs or external force, but because of a Beta. It was something even an Omega couldn’t do.
“No,” Bian Chuan said, his expression meaningful. “The only person that Beta can influence… is Huo Juan.”
Xu Yanxi was stunned, then nodded in agreement. True. This person had actually done it. How terrifying—to easily make Lord Juan lose control, and just as easily bring back his reason.
“Hiss.”
Pei Yule carefully touched the bandage on the back of his neck. Even a light touch brought a stinging pain. It was only natural; the teeth had actually gone in. The sensation of the teeth sinking into his flesh made his scalp prickle even now.
“…I’m sorry.” The Alpha sitting on the bed looked at him, his gaze fixed on the bandaged neck, his tone low.
Pei Yule turned back and looked at the Huo Juan on the bed. He didn’t quite remember how they got home. When his neck was bitten, the intense pheromones had turned his mind into a complete blank, as if he were floating in mid-air, unable to think or find a foothold.
By the time he came to, the wound was bandaged and he was home with Huo Juan. Xu Yanxi had brought them back. Once Huo Juan was conscious and his pheromones had settled, Bian Chuan had kicked them out. Pei Yule didn’t have many memories after the bite, but looking at Huo Juan’s current state, he could imagine what followed.
Before leaving, Xu Yanxi had told him: “I’m leaving Juan-ge in your hands.” It was the first time he’d spoken to him with such a serious tone. From Xu Yanxi’s attitude, Pei Yule knew he had succeeded in bringing Huo Juan back to normal, even if the price was a bite.
Pei Yule thought for a moment, walked over, and reached out to feel Huo Juan’s forehead. His temperature was normal; the scorching heat was gone. This Alpha was truly a miraculous creature. Drugs couldn’t cure him, suppressants didn’t work, yet he was more effective than any miracle medicine.
This must mean… he really likes me.
Pei Yule could feel the pheromones still present in the air, coiling around him naturally. It wasn’t that Huo Juan was leaking them on purpose, but that his “golden finger” made them easy to smell. Huo Juan was normal now, no fever, no loss of control.
Pei Yule slowly pulled his hand back. “Apology for what? I’m the one who provoked you first.”
It was his own fault for playing around. Knowing Huo Juan was in a state of lost control, he had still recklessly teased him; being treated like that wasn’t unearned. Even though he wasn’t an Alpha, he was still a man; he understood you shouldn’t mess with a man when he’s acting on impulse, as things can easily go wrong.
Huo Juan looked at the bandage, his expression still gloomy. Sensing the gaze, Pei Yule instinctively touched his neck and consoled him: “It was just one bite, and it wasn’t deep. It’s fine.” It probably wouldn’t even leave a scar. Pei Yule was thick-skinned; he really felt it was okay.
But Huo Juan clearly didn’t think so. He had the memory of that moment—he’d seen the subconscious flinch.
Pei Yule had lived with him for a month and could tell he was still feeling down, likely out of guilt for the injury. Since they’d already kissed and licked, Pei Yule didn’t mind doing something a bit more “out there.” He stepped forward and, while standing, opened his arms to hug Huo Juan. “It’s really fine. It hurt a bit, but it’ll be better in a while.”
Huo Juan paused, then hugged him back, silently tightening his arms. “…Don’t be afraid of me.”
“Do I look like I’m afraid?” Pei Yule felt like this guy was becoming a bit of a baby. Finding it amusing, he thought of a new question. “Hey, Student Huo Juan.”
Huo Juan loosened his arms slightly and looked up. Pei Yule looked down, assessing the tall frame he couldn’t even fully wrap his arms around, then compared it to the “combat experience” from earlier. In the spirit of not losing easily, he asked with a serious face: “Let me ask you, would you be against being picked up?”
As fellow men… if they were going to date, the “top/bottom” issue had to be settled. Even if the odds looked slim, he had to try… right?
Seeing Huo Juan’s subtle, confused expression, Pei Yule found it quite funny. He suddenly felt that regardless of who was on top, maybe they should just try dating first. So he leaned down and gave Huo Juan a “chu” kiss, saying brightly: “Stupid, I’m saying I like you!”
Though it was completely different from his original ideal type and gender—and he definitely couldn’t pick the guy up—he had fallen for him. He accepted it.
