After Transmigrating as a Scumbag Alpha, My Omega Underwent a Second Differentiation - Chapter 17
All those emotions that had gradually approached the verge of erupting vanished without a trace because of Sheng Yinglan’s light, airy sentence.
The absolute privacy created by the private room made Yun Rong very certain that she had not misheard.
She finally pulled herself out of those heavy emotions, and all the shadowy uncertainty in her eyes completely disappeared.
Her beautiful brows drew together as she tilted her head to look at Sheng Yinglan. A rare puzzled expression appeared on her face, but the slight upward curve of her lips seemed to reveal something.
“What did you say? Say it again.”
Because of the suppression from earlier, when she spoke again, her throat carried an uncontrollable hoarseness, as if it had been scraped over by coarse sandpaper. Her tone held a barely perceptible excitement, as well as a coaxing quality, as though she wanted to confirm something.
“I said I agree to the proposal you made at the hospital before. I’ll be your contract girlfriend.”
Yun Rong’s direct, unmoving gaze made Sheng Yinglan realize that her words had been very ambiguous, so she pretended not to see the hope in the other woman’s eyes and completed her previous sentence.
Although she had already made up her mind about this long ago, she originally had not planned to be this rushed. She had intended to wait a few days, until Yun Rong asked, and then go along with it.
But after seeing Yun Rong’s expression just now, those words had somehow come out naturally.
Or perhaps she felt that only after confirming this cooperative relationship would she be able to calmly treat all of Yun Rong’s concern for her as part of the act.
She could accept, with peace of mind, the other woman using Teacher Yun’s face to do intimate things to her and fulfill a dream.
At the same time, she could cooperate with Yun Rong in showing affection in front of outsiders, making Yun Keyi lower her guard and fully accept Yun Rong.
This was a transaction.
Both of them would take what they needed.
The two sentences before and after were clearly only a few words apart, yet their meanings were worlds apart.
The first sentence had been enough to make one’s heart race and imagination run wild.
The second was enough to make one sober instantly.
All the anticipation in Yun Rong’s eyes disappeared at once. At some unknown point, the corners of her lips, which had held a faint curve, had pressed tightly together.
Actually, this was good news for Yun Rong.
Although she had not said it aloud, she had always been thinking about this matter. She knew that if she wanted to obtain the answer she desired as soon as possible, sometimes pressing too hard was not a good method. It might even backfire.
So after running into Sheng Yinglan by chance today, Yun Rong had been avoiding mentioning this matter. She did not want to give the other woman too much burden or pressure.
But she had not expected Sheng Yinglan to bring it up without warning at this moment.
The timing seemed wrong, yet she could not quite figure out exactly what was wrong about it.
She felt somewhat numb. There was an indescribable stifling irritation in her chest, but she knew very clearly in her heart that this result was exactly what she wanted.
She had already asked Secretary Qin to draft a rough agreement, which included some of Sheng Yinglan’s rights and obligations. Now that the other party had agreed, logically speaking, Yun Rong should discuss those terms with her and see whether Sheng Yinglan could accept them or whether anything needed to be adjusted.
But at this moment, Yun Rong found herself unable to open her mouth.
It was as though the joy she had felt when she heard Sheng Yinglan’s first sentence had instantly vanished without a trace.
Sheng Yinglan had thought that after hearing her answer, Yun Rong would more or less become a little happier. It could also take the opportunity to ease the somewhat deadlocked atmosphere between them.
But unexpectedly, after Yun Rong finished listening, aside from the brief flicker of expression that had appeared on her face for a few seconds and then disappeared, there was no further reaction.
Seeing that the ointment tube in Yun Rong’s hand still had not loosened, and that several more drops of blood had been squeezed out, Sheng Yinglan could not care about anything else for the time being.
She leaned forward directly and took Yun Rong’s hand, prying open her long fingers one by one.
“Let go. You’re cut. Don’t you feel it?”
Because Yun Rong had used too much force, her curled fingers had already gone slightly bluish-white from spasms. They were ice cold, without the slightest warmth. Only the drop of blood that slid from her palm onto Sheng Yinglan’s wrist was burning hot.
Yun Rong’s originally empty eyes seemed to slowly regain focus, finally settling on Sheng Yinglan’s worried brows and eyes. Her gaze traced the outline of the other woman’s face.
“Are you worried about me because of your status as my contract girlfriend?”
The two of them were very close. Close enough that Yun Rong could see the slightly mocking expression reflected in Sheng Yinglan’s eyes.
Her hand stubbornly refused to open, as if determined to hear an answer from Sheng Yinglan’s mouth.
This question was somewhat beyond Sheng Yinglan’s expectations.
The hand she held paused for a moment. Without leaving a trace, she avoided Yun Rong’s probing gaze. She did not answer directly. Instead, she seemed to pose a question to Yun Rong.
“Whatever identity you used just now when you worried about me, that’s the same identity I’m using now to worry about you.”
It sounded like she was being evasive, but if one examined it carefully, it carried an unclear ambiguity.
However, Sheng Yinglan did not leave Yun Rong too much room to dwell on it. She ended the topic rather casually and raised her head slightly toward the other woman, indicating the injury on her own forehead.
“Now both of us are injured. Are you satisfied? Hurry and let go. My forehead still hurts.”
Yun Rong had not yet figured out what Sheng Yinglan’s words were referring to when her gaze touched the redness and swelling on Sheng Yinglan’s forehead.
Her stiff fingers immediately loosened completely.
Before long, the waitress who had just returned from buying ointment knocked on the private room door again, bringing cotton swabs, disinfectant, and other supplies for cleaning and bandaging wounds.
At Sheng Yinglan’s insistence, Yun Rong could only first let the other woman treat the cut on her palm.
Although the wound was not deep, it looked rather frightening.
It crossed half of her palm from the web between her thumb and index finger, forming a long, blood-red line. The flesh around it had curled outward, exposing tender red skin beneath, as if someone had cut a blade across her palm.
Alphas had strong bodily functions and superior recovery ability. This small injury was nothing to Yun Rong. Even if it were not bandaged, it would heal in a few days.
But watching Sheng Yinglan lower her head, one hand holding her injured hand while the other held a cotton swab, carefully cleaning the wound for her, and occasionally worrying that she might hurt Yun Rong and lightly blowing on it—
The little bit of displeasure in Yun Rong’s heart had long since vanished.
Without realizing it, her gaze fell onto Sheng Yinglan’s lips.
Those soft, tender lips seemed to be coated in a layer of sweet honey, carrying a moist sheen. They looked delicate and tempting.
Especially when the other woman bent her head and blew on the wound, it always gave Yun Rong the illusion that she was about to kiss her in the next second.
Especially when that warm breath carrying a faint floral scent spilled over the tender flesh at the wound, it was like tiny ants crawling in and out. It did not hurt, but carried an indescribable itch, making Yun Rong’s fingers curl slightly.
“What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?”
Sheng Yinglan lightened her movements.
Before she became an actress, she had quite a lot of experience bandaging herself. But because of environmental limitations, she had usually not been very meticulous. In addition, she had not done it in a long time and was somewhat out of practice, so she was afraid she had been too heavy-handed and hurt Yun Rong.
Yun Rong originally wanted to shake her head and say it was nothing.
But when the words reached her mouth and she saw Sheng Yinglan’s worried expression, her beautiful eyes shifted, as if she had thought of something.
Then, before Sheng Yinglan could lift her head to look at her, Yun Rong instantly changed expression.
The corner of her mouth drew upward slightly, and she hissed neither too lightly nor too heavily, revealing an expression of unbearable pain. Openly and boldly, she leaned most of her body directly against Sheng Yinglan’s raised leg, looking weak and powerless.
Meeting Sheng Yinglan’s questioning eyes, she said pitifully,
“If you kiss me, it won’t hurt so much.”
The two of them were already close. Sheng Yinglan was still holding Yun Rong’s hand, and now half of Yun Rong’s soft body had squeezed over.
It was as if Sheng Yinglan had forcefully half-embraced her.
Especially with Yun Rong tilting her head up to look at her and pretending to be pitiful, that sentence with its trailing tone, almost like coquettish pleading, was like a mischievous cat’s tail teasing Sheng Yinglan’s heart.
Aside from acting, she had never seen Teacher Yun reveal such a weak, coquettish, even slightly childish appearance.
Especially not toward her alone.
At once, she inappropriately thought of the descriptions of Yun Rong’s body during heat in that ABO novel.
A body soft as if made of water, where even the slightest force would leave marks. Reddened eyes filled with tears that fell with the movements of her body. A hollow gaze with nowhere to rest because it had not been soothed. Through the misty haze, unbearable longing. And finally, when she was loved, her slender, fragile neck still stubbornly lifted.
Sheng Yinglan unconsciously swallowed.
Looking at the face so close to her, her throat rolled again and again before she finally squeezed a bit of sound from it.
“Stop messing around. I haven’t finished applying the medicine. Sit properly first.”
Clearly, after coming here, the two of them had embraced several times.
But aside from that night after she had drunk too much and could not remember clearly, the rest had all been initiated by Yun Rong. And usually, Yun Rong was the dominant one. Those embraces gave Sheng Yinglan more of a sense of comfort and protection.
But now, this almost flirtatious posture, along with the image her mind had automatically filled in of Yun Rong during heat, made Sheng Yinglan feel as if a pool of lava had suddenly begun to churn deep in her heart.
Her body stiffened, not daring to move. She was afraid that the slightest movement would overturn that lava and make her reveal an ugly state.
Fortunately, Yun Rong had only been teasing her with a joke and did not insist further. Instead, she lifted her face.
“Then blow on it for me again. It really hurts.”
Sheng Yinglan could not resist that soft, delicate voice.
She took Yun Rong’s hand and gently blew on it again.
Yun Rong secretly felt delighted. Thinking that Sheng Yinglan’s injury still had not been treated, she did not dare be too reckless. Only then did she reluctantly get up from the other woman’s arms.
Now Sheng Yinglan had no excuse to refuse Yun Rong applying medicine to her.
It was just that when Yun Rong’s fingers, carrying the cool ointment, touched her forehead, Sheng Yinglan kept her eyes closed the entire time.
In her heart, she silently recited a passage from a textbook she had memorized for one of her previous works, using it to distract herself.
