After Transmigrating as the Scumbag Alpha in an Otherworld Novel, I Ended Up with the Villain - Chapter 4
“What are you dodging for?” Lin Yuxuan’s smile was the epitome of flirtatious charm. “It’s not like I’m going to eat you.”
Lin Yuxuan actually had wanted to bite her, but dealing with someone like Su Xinge required a “soft before hard” approach. This time, before Lin Yuxuan could even exert any force, the other woman had already scrambled away.
Su Xinge hid her hand behind her back and explained, “I didn’t leave you there alone on purpose earlier. I just wanted to go out and find you a suppressant.”
After saying this, Su Xinge pulled the medicine bottle from her pocket again. “Try taking one more.”
She didn’t dare let her hand get too close to Lin Yuxuan again.
Lin Yuxuan’s half-closed eyes flickered, but she said nothing. Naturally, she didn’t believe Su Xinge was being this kind-hearted; the only possibility was that the medicine inside had been swapped.
Lin Yuxuan’s gaze grew colder. She’s really doing the full performance, even switching out the medicine bottle.
Seeing no reaction from Lin Yuxuan, Su Xinge felt a wave of dizziness from the sweet fragrance still lingering in the air. Lin Yuxuan lay half-reclined on the sofa, her soaked clothes unable to hide the graceful curves beneath.
Su Xinge’s arm began to feel sore and numb from holding it up. She spoke hesitantly, “Actually, I…”
Lin Yuxuan looked directly at Su Xinge, her smile carrying a chill.
Su Xinge hesitated for a long time but ultimately did not reveal the fact that she had transmigrated into a book—and the fact that she might have actually already “Marked” Lin Yuxuan.
Although Su Xinge wanted to be good to Lin Yuxuan, it didn’t mean she was entirely without defenses against her. If she blurted it out now, whether Lin Yuxuan believed her was one thing, but whether she would leak the information and trigger unknown dangers was another. This base was currently a place of “crouching tigers and hidden dragons.” If Su Xinge’s secret was exploited by someone with an agenda, it would lead to more trouble than she could handle.
In this apocalypse, trust was like handing a knife to the person beside you: they could use it to protect you, but they could just as easily use it to hurt you. Actions spoke louder than words.
The air in the room, mixed with that pleasant scent, continued to heat up. Both women were covered in sweat, enduring the tension in silence. Lin Yuxuan could endure not taking the medicine, but Su Xinge didn’t want to endure any longer.
“Pardon me.” Su Xinge suddenly pinned Lin Yuxuan against the sofa, using her body to trap the other’s limbs, then forced the pill into her mouth.
Lin Yuxuan struggled relentlessly, fire practically leaping from her eyes. The whole reason she had designed for Su Xinge to “save” her so quickly was that she didn’t want to take this kind of drug and lose her mind—who would have thought Su Xinge was now trying out new tricks?
Already weak, Lin Yuxuan found herself completely unable to exert strength while pinned down; her face turned a bright, angry red. The close-quarters friction between their bodies made the atmosphere in the room even more intense.
Su Xinge exercised immense self-control, silently counting down in her head. These five seconds felt exceptionally long to her. Lin Yuxuan’s eyelashes fluttered, and her face was flushed with a hue that inspired a desperate urge to cherish her; the soft fragrance at her neck seemed to beckon.
Su Xinge hated this feeling of being dominated by a scent.
Once the five seconds were up, Su Xinge scrambled up immediately. “I didn’t want to do that either.”
After the struggle, both were drenched in sweat. As the heat of Lin Yuxuan’s body gradually subsided and her thoughts became more coherent, she noticed the change in her physical state.
Something was wrong.
Lin Yuxuan knew Su Xinge. When Su Xinge encountered a beautiful Omega, she used sweet talk; if sweet talk didn’t work, she used violence. This behavior was not something Su Xinge was capable of. Lin Yuxuan didn’t believe for a second that a few soft words from her this morning would make this woman surrender—a scumbag like her simply didn’t have a heart.
Lin Yuxuan looked at Su Xinge with a cold, scrutinizing gaze. She saw Su Xinge panting, her face full of shame and indignation, looking for all the world like she was the one who had been wronged.
Lin Yuxuan: “?”
Su Xinge’s face remained flushed. “That gang from earlier will likely be looking for you everywhere soon, so you’ll stay here with me for the time being.”
Lin Yuxuan gave a low, soft hum of acknowledgement and looked away. If Su Xinge wanted to keep her here long-term, there was no way she could run anyway.
The room grew quiet. Su Xinge opened the living room window. Seeing both their clothes soaked through, she frowned. “Want a shower?”
Lin Yuxuan bit her lip and said nothing, burying her head lower to hide her face in the shadows. Was Su Xinge coming up with a new way to torture her? At this thought, Lin Yuxuan’s heart grew a few degrees colder. Regardless, as long as she didn’t use “that” kind of drug, Lin Yuxuan would play along with whatever act Su Xinge was putting on.
Su Xinge noted that the sweet fragrance had finally dissipated; they had likely passed the critical point. Thinking Lin Yuxuan must be weak after the medicine, she asked, “Do you need me to help wash you?”
Lin Yuxuan snapped her head around. “No need. I can do it myself.”
Su Xinge nodded. “I’ll go find some clothes for you first.”
Watching Su Xinge walk away from the corner of her eye, Lin Yuxuan curled her body tightly into the sofa, bracing herself for the potential storm to follow. She knew Su Xinge wouldn’t let her go to the shower so easily.
Su Xinge stepped into the bathroom. The vanity was covered in various types of body wash and shampoo; all sorts of toiletries were laid out as if the apocalypse hadn’t happened. The only thing proving this world was different was the large water barrel sitting in the corner.
Su Xinge turned the tap—as expected, no water.
She looked into the mirror. The face was no different from hers in her original world. No wonder she had transmigrated; they looked identical. It was still fair and clean, showing no signs of having endured a cruel apocalypse. The only difference was the eyebrows—this body’s eyebrows were a bit more “wild and free.”
Approaching the water barrel, Su Xinge breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily it was full, otherwise there wouldn’t be enough for two people. She then went into the bedroom and opened the leftmost door of the wardrobe.
The closet was packed with jackets, T-shirts, and trousers—it looked like an entire clothing store’s worth of sportswear was in here. Shifting her gaze to the right, she saw two dresses hanging in the corner; the innermost one was a red silk maxi dress.
Su Xinge inexplicably felt that the red would suit Lin Yuxuan perfectly, and, as if possessed, she pulled the dress out. Finally, she picked out two sets of cotton clothes for herself—one to change into now and one for after her own shower. Being wet was truly uncomfortable.
After changing her own clothes, she found some spare towels in a drawer next to the wardrobe. Looking at these familiar yet strange objects, Su Xinge felt a daze. With these memories belonging to someone else, was she still her original self?
When Su Xinge returned to the living room, she found that in just that short time, the person on the sofa had actually fallen asleep. Lin Yuxuan’s fair, exquisite cheeks were flushed, contrasting with the tear-drop mole at the corner of her right eye. The blood at the corner of her lip hadn’t even scabbed over yet.
Su Xinge stepped forward to wake her. Her clothes were soaked; sleeping like this would surely lead to a cold.
On the sofa, Lin Yuxuan felt someone approaching and opened her eyes. She never dared to sleep too soundly—it had always been this way.
Su Xinge stopped and handed over the clothes. “You wash first.”
Lin Yuxuan looked at the offered garment and frowned.
Who in their right mind wears a dress in the middle of the apocalypse?
