After Unbinding the Simp System, I'm Targeted by the Villain - Chapter 55
Two burly Alphas walked into the restroom, chatting about tonight’s ball game while slowly relieving themselves.
Yu Chucheng leaned against the stall door, smelling the pheromones radiating from them. These two seemed dead drunk, unable—or perhaps unwilling—to maintain even the most basic pheromone control.
Yu Chucheng tilted his head back, feeling the world around him begin to spin slowly. Driven by adrenaline and alcohol, his fingers fumbled in his pocket and found his phone; fortunately, he had it on him. He sent a message to Ji Zhou, set the phone to vibrate, and placed a silent call.
However, Ji Zhou and the buzz-cut guy had both collapsed on the floor. The phone had been tossed into an obscure corner, its screen flickering pitifully, but no one in the private booth cared.
Yu Chucheng’s head felt heavy and swollen. The pheromones he had been suppressing were forcibly drawn out by the thick Alpha scent saturating the restroom. He stared at his contact list for a long time, sensing he was about to hit his limit, and finally decided to message Duan Huaijin.
Yu Chucheng: [Where are you? I’ve run into some trouble, can you come help me?]
He sent his location immediately, then switched off the screen without looking further. After a few seconds, the two men outside finally began zipping up.
“Hey bro, do you smell something else?”
“Restrooms are full of aromatherapy, what else would there be? It’s enough to give you a headache.”
“No, not aromatherapy. I think I smell Omega pheromones.”
“Hiss… now that you mention it, it does seem like it. Is there an Omega in heat in here?”
The voices drifted closer and then further away. Yu Chucheng tugged at his clothes and stood straight against the door. He was in a state of total contradiction: while his consciousness was blurring, a single nerve in his brain remained tightly wound.
His Omega instincts warned him that his current situation was dangerous.
A bar was a den of vipers. Outside the door were two drunken Alphas, and they had already begun checking the stalls one by one.
“Let me see who’s being so ‘thirsty’ that they’re hiding in a restroom stall while in heat.”
Seeing them approach his stall, Yu Chucheng confirmed once more that the lock was functional, then lightly stepped up onto the toilet lid. He wasn’t sure if Duan Huaijin had seen the message, nor when Ji Zhou would realize he’d been gone for so long, but he knew he couldn’t rely solely on others. He had to find a way himself.
Thud, thud!
The door handle was rattled from the outside.
“Why is it locked? Big brothers aren’t going to do anything to you—we’re just taking you to get a suppressant.”
Yu Chucheng held his breath, pulling his collar up to cover his nose and mouth tightly. These two were like walking clouds of pheromones; the entire restroom reeked of their pungent, stifling scent. Through the gap in the door, Yu Chucheng saw the shadow outside grow larger as one of them crouched down to peek inside.
“No one’s in here, bro. The latch must be broken.”
“Strange. No one’s in the other stalls either.”
“Maybe someone was in heat here and already left?”
“Tsk, what a buzzkill.”
Yu Chucheng listened silently as the footsteps receded. Then, the restroom door swung shut with a loud clack.
Finally able to breathe, Yu Chucheng felt like a dehydrated fish returning to water. He gasped for air, and the moment his fingers loosened their grip on his clothes, his pheromones flooded out. He had been triggered into an early heat, and unfortunately, he hadn’t brought any suppressants today.
Yu Chucheng stepped down from the toilet lid. This restroom was no place to linger. He either had to walk through the crowd jumping to the DJ’s beat while covered in his own pheromones, or find an empty booth to lock himself in and wait for help.
Holding onto his last shred of sanity, he decided an empty booth was safer. His fingers moved clumsily to unlock the stall door, but the moment he opened it—
“I knew you were in there.”
“Did you think that little trick could fool us? Hehehe…”
The two Alphas from before were standing right at the restroom entrance, their hungry eyes instantly locking onto their prey.
The string in Yu Chucheng’s mind snapped. These two hadn’t left? The sound of the door closing was just a ruse to draw him out! Yu Chucheng gripped the handle again, trying to slam the door shut.
Suddenly, a massive force yanked the door from the outside—
BOOM!
The door swung 180 degrees, colliding heavily with the adjacent stall. Yu Chucheng finally saw the men clearly: short statures, jeans with canvas shoes, pompadour hair, and full-sleeve tattoos—the archetypal look of local thugs.
“Why put on an act? Coming to a place like this to go into heat alone—are you so lonely you’re looking for someone to love you?”
Yu Chucheng took two steps back, his body entering high-alert mode. “I think you’d look great with a lip piercing—using a stapler to pin those two lips of yours together.”
“That mouth of yours is quite something. But that’s perfect; I like them wild.”
If they had retained 10% of their sanity when they first entered, it was now completely gone, stripped away by the scent of Yu Chucheng’s pheromones. They no longer cared about where they were; their minds were consumed by the urge to possess the Omega in front of them—to invade him, mark him, and make him their property.
As they closed in, Yu Chucheng’s adrenaline spiked in the moment of crisis. His limp limbs suddenly found a burst of strength, and he delivered a solid kick to the Alpha blocking the door.
“Get lost! Don’t you have a mirror to piss in? For a dumbass like you, even if I was handing out tickets, you wouldn’t get a turn in line!”
The two thugs hadn’t expected a “helpless” Omega in heat to have such strength. Yu Chucheng seized the moment of their hesitation and bolted toward the exit. He was only winning the war of words right now; if it came to a real fight, he was no match for them. A wise man knows when to retreat.
Yu Chucheng was usually incredibly fast, but unfortunately, his body was currently failing him. After just two steps, his calf cramped, and he stumbled, nearly falling flat.
Crap… dropping the chain at the critical moment.
Yu Chucheng’s fingers managed to reach the door handle, but before he could press it—
“Ah!”
His hair was grabbed from behind. The sharp sting at the roots and scalp made him cry out in pain. The two thugs grinned wickedly, prying his fingers off the handle one by one.
“Whoa, bro, looks like we hit the jackpot. This kid is S-rank! I’ve never tried an S-rank before!”
“You’re a sharp one, and you’ve got a pretty face. But if we let you run away today, we might as well quit the streets for good.”
