Summary
Synopsis:
After her college entrance exams, Qi Si was dumped in a flash.
She learned from others that the campus beauty was only dating her to improve her grades and get into a top university. In her eyes, Qi Si was dull and boring—just a book-smart fool who wasn’t worthy of her.
Qi Si took a gap year, traveling and trekking across half the world. When she returned, the gap between her and her ex-girlfriend had grown even wider.
Her ex became the “goddess” of A University. She used her connections to find a beautiful, overseas-educated mentor. Rumor had it that she would soon publish a paper, and after graduation, she could apply for a Ph.D. spot at a top global university and even become a professor at her alma mater.
Meanwhile, Qi Si’s family had an accident, leaving them in debt. Her ex-girlfriend incited an online mob against her, almost causing Qi Si to have her scent gland removed. She was forced to drop out of A University.
Holding her withdrawal application, Qi Si went to find a counselor to sign it. By mistake, she stumbled into Lin Ye’s office.
Lin Ye was known at A University for being a “psycho.” She was young and accomplished but notoriously ruthless with her students. Her professional classes had a 60% failure rate, and students avoided her like the plague. Not even the principal dared to criticize her.
But Qi Si was face-blind. The first time she saw Lin Ye was during her heat cycle, and she thoughtfully bought her an inhibitor.
The second time she saw her, she mistook her for her ex-girlfriend and said “Hi” like an old friend.
The third time they met was in a dark alley, where Qi Si chased away a male Alpha who was eyeing her.
The fourth time they ran into each other in the cafeteria, Qi Si thought Lin Ye was being shunned and enthusiastically went over to get her some soup.
…The Nth time, Qi Si was in Lin Ye’s office, telling her she wanted to drop out.
Lin Ye lifted the hem of her skirt and said with a slight smile, “…How about you come to my place tonight, and we can talk about it in detail?”
Qi Si marked Lin Ye and became her emotional support, willingly.
Lin Ye had money and free time. When she was in a good mood, she spoiled Qi Si, giving her cars and houses. She even arranged for Qi Si’s family to have surgery abroad, which cured their paralysis.
She was the sugar mommy, but she wasn’t the kind of person Qi Si could fall in love with.
Every night, when the big boss would open her clothes, bury her face in Qi Si’s embrace, and quietly beg for a mark—
It was hard not to fall in love with her!
So later, when her sugar mommy kicked her to the curb, Qi Si nearly went insane.
It took a long time for her to sober up. She blocked Lin Ye, deleted all contact information, and ran away alone to a snowy wilderness. She went by a different name, making indie games, helping her family with a lawsuit, saving money, and doing anything she loved.
When she heard the news that Lin Ye had died in an explosion, her heart only skipped a beat, and she continued to work.
When Lin Ye appeared in front of her, pregnant with a child, Qi Si just looked at her coldly, turned, and walked away.
Lin Ye blocked her, her eyes wet and her voice trembling, “Baby, you don’t love me anymore?”
“What do I have to do to make things right with you?”
