Teacher (Lily Futa) - Chapter 8
It had already been almost a month since the start of senior year. Time passed quickly. Recently, Qin Lang and Wu Qiu had been getting along without any major incidents, just peacefully passing the days.
Exams in senior year were frequent. Next up was the monthly exam, and soon after that, the first mock exam.
Qin Lang spent a few days playing around without a care. She even stayed up all night the day before the exam and successfully fell asleep halfway through writing the math paper in the afternoon.
When Wu Qiu was handing back the test papers, Qin Lang noticed there was even a drool stain on hers. She glanced up guiltily at Wu Qiu and found the woman looking straight at her, raising an eyebrow.
Fuck. I’m done for.
The questions Qin Lang had actually answered were mostly correct. Even though she was a delinquent who never paid attention in class, Qin Zhicheng was always on her case. He kept signing her up for tutoring classes and sometimes even personally escorted her there.
But because she had done so few questions, her score was a pitiful seventy-something points.
Qin Lang’s tutoring classes had stopped at the end of last semester. Qin Zhicheng said senior year was already tiring enough and he didn’t want to add more pressure, but if her grades dropped any further, she would have to go back to tutoring.
Qin Lang’s vision went black. She could already see her miserable future of being pinned down and forced to study by some bald tutoring teacher.
Seventy-something wasn’t the lowest score in class. There was even someone who scored forty, and all the points came from multiple-choice questions — probably copied. Wu Qiu didn’t get angry. She briefly explained the exam situation and then started going over the papers.
Qin Lang felt sleepy listening to it. Soon, a fresh drool mark appeared on her test paper.
During lunch, the math class representative came looking for Qin Lang and told her to go to the math teacher’s office. She thought to herself that the math teacher was none other than that weird woman Wu Qiu. What did she want this time?
Qin Lang lost all appetite. She stuffed a few mouthfuls of food down, dumped her tray, and stormed toward the teaching building like she was going to receive an award.
When Qin Lang knocked and entered, Wu Qiu was wearing her metal-framed glasses and typing away on the computer. Seeing her come in, Wu Qiu stopped typing and stared at her.
“Do you know why I called you here?” Wu Qiu asked.
“Be… because of my score?” Qin Lang said uncertainly in a small voice.
“You’re not the lowest in the class,” Wu Qiu shook her head.
“Then…” Qin Lang looked confused.
Wu Qiu stood up. Qin Lang immediately took a step back, ready to bolt. This situation felt way too much like the time she had been pinned on the sofa and fucked. No way — she was going to run.
Wu Qiu rolled up a thin notebook lying on the desk and smacked it lightly on Qin Lang’s forehead. “Why is there a drool stain on your test paper!”
“I… fell asleep during the exam…” So that’s what this was about… Qin Lang swallowed hard, her heart still pounding.
“I checked. This time you ranked 28th in the class. Your Chinese and English are both over a hundred, and your comprehensive score is decent too. Why is my math subject the only one with such a low score? Do you have a problem with me?” Wu Qiu continued questioning.
Qin Lang hid her hands behind her back and twisted them nervously, almost tying her fingers into knots. “Well… it’s not that—” She did have opinions, and they were pretty big.
“Stayed up late? Playing games? Or at the bar?” Wu Qiu leaned close to Qin Lang and whispered in her ear, “Do you need to get fucked again?”
Qin Lang felt a tingle run from her ears all the way through her whole body.
Suddenly someone knocked on the door. Wu Qiu stepped back and called “Come in.” It was her little class representative — a boy with thick glasses, a very ordinary and proper student.
Qin Lang rushed out of the office in three quick steps. Back in the classroom, she slammed her desk hard and cursed, “Fuck! Is Wu Qiu fucking sick?!”
Her desk mate was startled and turned to look at her. “What’s wrong with Teacher Wu?”
Thanks to her looks and teaching style, Wu Qiu had already established herself firmly in Class 2. Now Qin Lang didn’t even dare openly curse her. Even though she had good relationships in class, she was afraid some snitch would report her straight to Wu Qiu.
She would be the one who suffered in the end.
“Just… ah!” Qin Lang felt irritated. She scratched her head fiercely, then lay down to sleep. Before long, the class bell woke her up.
When she got home, Qin Zhicheng glanced at her report card and casually asked if she needed math tutoring. His attitude was still quite mild at that point.
The next day when she came home, Qin Zhicheng announced that from now on she would have full-day math tutoring every Saturday and Sunday.
No matter how much Qin Lang argued, Qin Zhicheng wouldn’t listen. He had decided she was going.
He still hadn’t told her who the tutor was.
Qin Lang had a subtle suspicion in her heart. That suspicion became reality on Saturday when Qin Zhicheng drove her to the tutor’s house.
It was a rather upscale residential complex.
The person who opened the door was Wu Qiu wearing casual home clothes — a hoodie and jeans. Her hair was tied in a half-bun, making her look surprisingly student-like.
“Teacher Wu, I’ve brought Little Lang over. Please take good care of her. She’s quite wild, so Teacher, please discipline her properly.” After speaking with Wu Qiu, Qin Zhicheng glared at Qin Lang and went downstairs.
Qin Lang froze at the doorway. Wu Qiu leaned against the doorframe and looked at her. “Why aren’t you moving?”
“Oh… okay…” Qin Lang took small, hesitant steps into the house. Wu Qiu casually closed the door behind her.
The lock clicked shut. Qin Lang’s heart skipped a beat.
“Let’s go to the study. Your dad gave me quite a lot of money — it’s an exception to tutor you privately.” Wu Qiu reached out and ruffled Qin Lang’s messy short curls, then led her into the study.
Wu Qiu’s apartment was a two-bedroom. One room was the bedroom, the other had been turned into a study with a desk, bookshelves, and some game consoles. Qin Lang even spotted a Switch gathering dust in the corner.
What a strange teacher.
Wu Qiu had turned the knowledge points she gave Qin Lang last time into a practice test. She had her do the paper first, then correct the mistakes. Qin Lang wrote until her head was spinning. She turned to Wu Qiu and asked, “Teacher, is there any water?”
Wu Qiu stood up and said, “Ah, sorry, I forgot to pour you water earlier. What would you like?”
Qin Lang replied, “Do you have milk?”
Wu Qiu nodded and left the study.
When she came back, Wu Qiu was carrying two cups of hot milk, both steaming.
Qin Lang drank half a cup in one go and continued struggling with the test paper.
She didn’t look like the bad student Teacher Zheng had described at all, Wu Qiu thought. That old man really did wear colored glasses when judging people. What an obedient student.
Wu Qiu’s desk was quite large and placed against the window. Qin Lang sat on the left, Wu Qiu on the right, reviewing Qin Lang’s previous test papers and occasionally writing comments.
When Qin Lang finished the paper, she absentmindedly reached her right hand forward. The half cup of milk she hadn’t finished knocked over with a splash right in front of Wu Qiu. It spilled down the desk and dripped onto Wu Qiu’s jeans, leaving milky-white stains.
“Sorry!” Qin Lang frantically looked for tissues, grabbed a bunch, and immediately pressed them against Wu Qiu’s crotch.
It wasn’t until she felt that the texture was wrong that both of them froze.
That thing was starting to make its presence known again.
Qin Lang looked up and met Wu Qiu’s eyes. She tried to slowly pull her hand back, but before she could move it halfway, Wu Qiu pressed it back down.
“Little Lang,” Wu Qiu guided her hand and slowly pulled down the zipper. Her voice was slightly hoarse as she whispered softly, “Help me.”
