The Cold Alpha's Black Lotus O Strategy Plan (GL) - Chapter 8
Jin Sique stood under the streetlamp. Several streams of neon lights projected from all directions, casting a fragmented and variegated glow over her features.
Lü Zhongcai slightly narrowed her eyes, carefully scrutinizing the figure. She could recognize who the person was, yet she seemed unable to discern Jin Sique’s expression.
A brief silence settled between the two.
052 said: “See? What did I tell you?”
“Why are you here?” Lü Zhongcai asked.
Jin Sique seemed momentarily stunned. She walked out from under the lights, her features slowly emerging from the hazy environment to become clear. She asked Lü Zhongcai in an equally confused tone, “A-cai, why are you here?”
Lü Zhongcai found it difficult to judge whether Jin Sique’s momentary shock was due to surprise or the panic of being exposed. “You said you went back to school.”
Jin Sique’s hands nervously twisted together, and she stammered, “I, I came with a friend.”
Lü Zhongcai said calmly, “A friend?”
“President, did you run into an acquaintance?” Lu Baimei walked closer, but just as she was about to approach, she sharply sensed something and abruptly halted.
“What’s going on?” Lu Baimei whispered, looking ahead and seeing Jin Sique.
Jin Sique was Lü Zhongcai’s wife. Lu Baimei had met her once or twice and had a very deep impression of this Omega, whose entire being exuded a soft, grassy scent.
How to put it?
If it weren’t for the Alpha-to-Alpha sense that told her this Omega was already taken, any single Alpha would be instantly captivated by this Omega.
This was because Jin Sique’s temperament and appearance, much like her name, suggested she was a golden kingfisher that could only be truly held captive within a golden cage.
Jin Sique stood under the light, bathed in that velvety glow. She just stood there, obedient and sweet like a clump of fresh, emerald lawn. The warning signs of “No Trespassing” enforced by social convention only served to fuel the impulse to test them out.
Lu Baimei clicked her tongue a few times, turned the steering wheel, withdrew her eyes from Jin Sique in the rearview mirror, and asked, “President Lü, to Jingwan Villa?”
Lü Zhongcai simply looked out the window, seeming not to dwell on the matter.
Jin Sique sat in the back seat of the car, a somewhat awkward smile on her face. She pursed her lips, constantly leaning forward, anxiously trying to gauge Lü Zhongcai’s expression.
“Thank you very much.” Jin Sique stood obediently and gave a slight bow to Lu Baimei. “Drive safely.”
Jin Sique stood somewhat stiffly by the wheelchair. She looked flustered, seemingly unsure how to explain herself to Lü Zhongcai. After all, in Lü Zhongcai’s or anyone else’s eyes, a bar was not a place Jin Sique should frequent.
Lu Baimei chuckled twice, waved her hand dismissively, signaled to Lü Zhongcai, gave her a knowing look, and then drove away.
Jin Sique lowered her eyes, her long eyelashes cast down. The corner of her mouth curved into an indifferent smile as she lazily surveyed the figure with her back turned to her.
It wasn’t until the car sped into the distance that Lü Zhongcai finally moved. The wheelchair slid forward.
Jin Sique: “A-cai.”
Lü Zhongcai waved her hand, signaling she didn’t need help pushing. “No need to bother Aunt Guo. The last time… was it two weeks ago?”
Jin Sique paused, lagging a few steps behind Lü Zhongcai. She stopped for a moment, then caught up again, opening the villa’s entrance door for Lü Zhongcai.
It had been half a month since the last temporary mark.
Inside the entrance hall, the living room lights flickered on one by one. A new facility for the wheelchair to ascend and descend had been added next to the spiral staircase.
Jin Sique closed the entrance door, then switched off the living room lights one by one. The sensor lights at the foot of the stairs lit up and dimmed like an LED strip. She walked into the room, and the sound of running water came from the bathroom.
“She lied.”
“This is the first time she lied to you, and that’s only because you caught her. What about all the times you didn’t?”
052’s voice resonated in her mind. Lü Zhongcai wiped the water droplets from her neck, leaned back in the bathtub. Steam filled the tub. A hand reached in from outside, lightly skimming the water’s surface twice.
Jin Sique had simply pinned her hair up at the back of her neck, exposing her slender neck. The moisture had dampened the fine, downy hair on her forehead. The humidity accumulated, forming a drop of water that slid down, rolling off her bare back.
Lü Zhongcai looked up. Beneath her long lashes, her eyes watched Jin Sique with a deep, dark intensity.
