Transmigrating into a Scumbag Alpha, a Dainty Omega is Pregnant with My Child - Chapter 31
As the music swelled, Jiang Cha whispered, “Let’s begin.” She tilted her neck slightly, the white crystal pearl earrings dangling from her lobes shimmering so brightly they were almost blinding.
No one could refuse an invitation to dance from Jiang Cha.
Xiao Yun kept her head down, following Jiang Cha’s footsteps slowly. While others in the dance floor glided smoothly, she moved clumsily, like someone learning to walk for the first time, stepping on every “wrong piano key” imaginable.
“I really don’t know how to do this.”
Jiang Cha leaned her head in slightly, the crystal pearl brushing past Xiao Yun’s ear. Her breath was cool: “It’s fine. Just follow me.”
Struggling with every step, Xiao Yun accidentally stepped on Jiang Cha’s foot after only two paces.
“Sorry!”
She hurriedly looked down, her chin bumping against Jiang Cha’s forehead. From that close range, a pair of eyes gazed up at her from below.
“You’re too tense. Relax a little.”
How could I not be tense? Xiao Yun thought. She felt like Jiang Cha was the Golden-Haired Mouse spirit from Journey to the West tempting the monk—stroking her neck now, only to extend long claws and end her life a moment later.
“Okay,” Xiao Yun replied, her body betraying her words as it remained stiff.
“Better than before.”
Jiang Cha pressed closer, her chest warm against Xiao Yun’s. Her fingers slid from Xiao Yun’s shoulder toward her throat.
Is she going for a chokehold? Xiao Yun’s heart skipped a beat.
With a moist, warm breath against her ear, Jiang Cha whispered, “Yunyun, time to separate.”
The music reached its first crescendo. Jiang Cha grabbed the earpiece on Xiao Yun’s collar as she spun away. They created some distance, and Jiang Cha deftly swiped the earpiece, dropping it to the floor.
“What are you doing?”
Jiang Cha pressed back in, tighter than before. Xiao Yun’s skin, which hadn’t even cooled down yet, began to burn again.
Without a word, Jiang Cha reached out and yanked off her own earpiece as well, leaning in close while they danced: “These things are a nuisance!”
That whisper, close enough to be a nibble on the ear, made Xiao Yun’s bones go soft.
They continued to dance to the rhythm. Jiang Cha rested her chin on Xiao Yun’s shoulder, looking at her with a smile. Xiao Yun held her awkwardly, no longer caring if she was doing a waltz or a ghost-step.
“Aren’t they filming? This will be recorded,” Xiao Yun whispered, her head bowed so that Jiang Cha’s forehead was almost directly under her lips.
“I don’t want them to record this.”
“Why?”
Jiang Cha looked up, her head pulling away slightly as her hands tightened around Xiao Yun’s neck, her whole body arching backward: “Press down.”
“Huh?”
Lost, Xiao Yun looked at the other couples. Seeing the Alphas gently pressing down to dip their Omegas, she followed suit, pressing her weight against Jiang Cha. Stomach to stomach, even through their clothes, she could feel the other woman’s delicate frame.
Xiao Yun’s shoulder-length hair fell forward, lightly brushing against Jiang Cha’s neck. Jiang Cha pursed her lips and smiled.
When they returned to an upright position, Jiang Cha leaned her forehead directly against Xiao Yun’s jawline, skin grazing skin.
“I want to tell you a secret.”
Xiao Yun thought to herself: Why don’t you just kill me? You really know how to torture a person.
“What is it?” Xiao Yun kept her head perfectly still, terrified that any movement would result in extra contact. As long as she wasn’t the one initiating, it wasn’t harassment.
“What do you think happened to Xia Yueyao earlier?”
Xiao Yun felt a chill run down her spine. “Wasn’t it just a sudden heat cycle disruption?”
Jiang Cha chuckled. She grabbed Xiao Yun’s right hand and raised it, spinning in her arms to the music. One, two, three turns—Jiang Cha’s waist rubbed against Xiao Yun’s palm with enough friction to start a fire. Xiao Yun’s hand went weak.
Jiang Cha leaned in again, her cheek pressing against Xiao Yun’s: “I did it.”
Xiao Yun knew she was responsible, but she still replied with feigned shock: “How?”
“She dared to hit my scent gland on purpose. If she hadn’t, Yunyun wouldn’t have had to tell me you’re a Beta.”
“You did that for me?” Xiao Yun found it hard to believe.
“Not entirely. That’s just who I am. If someone provokes me, I pay them back twofold.”
Xiao Yun’s breathing tightened.
Jiang Cha pushed her away with her palm, her elegant figure dancing before her before spinning back, this time with her back to Xiao Yun. She reached back to hold Xiao Yun’s hand, looking over her shoulder with her red lips just beneath Xiao Yun’s chin.
Jiang Cha curled her lips into a smile. “Why are you telling me this?”
Xiao Yun held her tight, staring at her red lips.
“You told me your secret, so I’m telling you mine. It’s an exchange.”
An exchange? Or a threat? Or perhaps a warning? A warning not to play tricks, because Jiang Cha was watching and would retaliate. Or—perhaps—Jiang Cha truly considered her an ally and was sharing a genuine secret.
In the final step of the dance, Xiao Yun had to hold Jiang Cha by the waist. Jiang Cha spun again and again in her palms. Xiao Yun’s hands felt hot as Jiang Cha returned to her embrace, her leg hooking lightly around Xiao Yun’s calf.
That icy touch on her leg felt like something piercing. Jiang Cha hung onto her, looking up. “Why aren’t you smiling?”
Xiao Yun immediately forced a smile, her face pressed against Jiang Cha’s as she let out a series of dry, hollow “hehehe” laughs.
Finally, it was over.
As they walked back to their seats, Xiao Yun wiped the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand—and her palms, shoulders, back, and chest. Everywhere she had touched Jiang Cha, she felt like those parts of her body no longer belonged to her. After that dance, she was probably the only one who felt a cold shiver despite the heat.
She sat in the booth, panting. Jiang Cha handed her a pack of tissues. “Wipe up.”
“Thanks.”
A jazz track began to play. The crowd started cheering. “Isn’t this the Heavenly Queen’s song?” “Push her up there!”
Before Jiang Cha could refuse, she was pushed onto the stage by the other Omegas. “Don’t be shy! Show us a dance!”
Before Xiao Yun could react, Jiang Cha was on stage. At first, she looked a bit embarrassed, but the moment the main beat hit, her gaze transformed. She reached for her legs, arched her back, and struck a pose. Her eyes were incredibly seductive.
The crowd went wild. “Someone kill me, she’s too hot!”
It was that famous “sexy dance” again—the one with the chest, hip, and leg touches. Even though Jiang Cha performed a conservative version, the place was in a frenzy.
Honey’s Alpha leaned toward Xiao Yun. “Your dance just now was amazing. You two look so in love.”
Xiao Yun wiped her sweat. “Thanks. We… it was love at first sight.” She awkwardly rubbed her trousers. “How about you and Honey? How did you meet?”
They chatted for a bit. It turned out Jiang Cha had introduced them. The Alpha had been a fan of Jiang Cha, and while visiting her on set, realized how cute Honey was. Jiang Cha played matchmaker.
“Sister Jiangjiang is a wonderful person,” the Alpha said, watching Jiang Cha. “When Honey and she first joined the girl group, Sister Jiangjiang always helped her practice, bought her medicine… she’s such a thoughtful big sister. I’ve been a fan for years.”
Character, looks, talent—she had it all.
Xiao Yun mused, “You don’t seem like the type to chase celebrities. How did you become a fan?”
“There’s a story there. Once, I had heatstroke and collapsed on the street. People just walked by, too afraid to help. Sister Jiangjiang was the only one who stopped, gave me a bottle of water, and her sunshade. You know how much stars care about sun protection.”
The Alpha’s eyes reddened. “I was truly moved.”
If she hadn’t read the novel, Xiao Yun might have teared up too. She patted the Alpha’s shoulder. “I’m lucky beyond words to have a wife like her.”
“Don’t you ever let her down,” the Alpha said, gripping Xiao Yun’s shoulder firmly.
“Never!” Xiao Yun nodded with even more determination.
Above them, a drone circled. The eight bodyguards managed by Butler Mei were transmitting data. Mei called Xiao Jingliang.
“Chairman, the Second Miss and Miss Jiang are very affectionate. The dance they did… even an old lady like me got shy.”
Xiao Jingliang smiled on the screen. “I saw. Good. Continue monitoring, but do not expose yourselves unless absolutely necessary.”
Inside the bar, a group of six male Alphas in black clothes were drinking and shouting. They exchanged looks as they watched the dance.
“Get ready to move.”
One of them, a man with a buzz cut, 186cm tall, wearing a thick gold chain and a face full of scars, roared: “Tell that Omega to come over and dance for us brothers. Let’s have some fun!”
“Yeah! Hahaha!”
They shouted crudely but didn’t move yet, their eyes leering at Jiang Cha. “So slutty.”
Xiao Yun, who had been watching Jiang Cha, felt her mood sour because of these “small fry.” She spun her lighter in her hand, clicking it on and off.
She was about to stand up when guests at other tables started mocking the thugs: “Dance for you? Do you even know who she is?”
“Who cares? Dancing like that… isn’t she just trying to hook men?”
The music stopped. Everyone heard the argument.
“Hooking men? She’s a top-tier S-class Omega from Shuncheng, the sexy Heavenly Queen. She’s been married for ages; why would she need to hook ‘pig-headed’ men like you?”
“Queen? Hahaha! Isn’t she just shaking her ass and waist, sleeping her way to the top? Since she’s married, why is she out here selling her body?”
“Exactly. It’s not a respectable profession. Isn’t she just a ‘legal prostitute’?”
The words “legal prostitute” pierced Jiang Cha like needles. She stood in the spotlight, and a wave of whispering and questioning crashed over her. A slutty dance? A sexy dance? And she calls herself a Queen? Who knows what she does behind closed doors?
She had seen these comments online a thousand times, but this was the first time someone had said them to her face. Her expression froze. She knew today’s gossip was already written.
Suddenly, a voice shattered the vortex.
“Boss, did your toilet explode?”
Xiao Yun clicked her lighter and walked toward the thugs, holding the flame near the lead man’s face and wrinkling her nose in disgust.
The man leaned back, a bit of his eyebrow singed. “Careful with the fire, babe.”
The bar owner ran over. “Miss, you must be joking. Our toilets are fine.”
“Oh, they haven’t exploded?” Xiao Yun frowned. “Then why do I smell something so foul?”
Everyone sniffed. The owner said, “I don’t smell anything.”
“No?” Xiao Yun held the lighter closer to the thugs. “Oh, then it must be the smell coming off them.”
The men glared at her. “What did you say?”
Xiao Yun took two steps back, waving her hand in front of her nose. “I was just wondering if you guys ate too much crap before coming here. No wonder your breath is so pungent.”
The room erupted in laughter. Even the director was clutching her stomach.
“What did you say? You looking for a fight?”
Xiao Yun smirked. “I said, if you’ve eaten too much crap, go get your stomachs pumped.”
The six hulking Alphas stood up, flexing their muscles and clenching their fists as they moved toward Xiao Yun. Xiao Yun stared at the flame of her lighter, unmoving.
Before they could reach her, eight men—all over 190cm—stepped forward, cracking their knuckles. Xiao Yun was startled; she figured she could handle six Alphas, but fourteen would be her end.
Fortunately, one of the giants turned and bowed respectfully to her. “Second Miss, Miss Jiang, we apologize for the fright.”
Xiao Yun’s pupils shook. The giant turned back to the thugs and gave a mockingly polite salute. The lead thug, initially scared, thought they were asking for peace. “Tell your Second Miss to kowtow and apologize, and we—”
Before he could finish, the 190cm Alpha said, “Sorry, just a heads up: we’re about to start beating you.”
Cries of pain soon filled the air. “Sorry! We were wrong!” “We apologize!”
Xiao Yun felt a rush of satisfaction. She glanced at Jiang Cha, who had remained silent by her side.
Xiao Yun coughed. “Alright, alright. Come over here and apologize to your ‘Great-Aunt’.”
“Sorry, Miss, we were wrong.” The men were bruised and tearful.
“Don’t apologize to me. Apologize to her.” Xiao Yun pointed to Jiang Cha.
“Miss… no, Queen! You’re a Queen! We shouldn’t have said those things. Please, let us go.”
Jiang Cha pursed her lips and stepped back. It was almost funny—hurting someone and then expecting a simple “sorry” to fix it.
Xiao Yun spoke up before she could: “Let you go? Do you even respect people’s professions?” She put her arm around Jiang Cha’s shoulder. “You’re all outsiders. You don’t understand my Omega wife at all.”
“She is a dancer, an artist. Every day, she wakes up earlier than the roosters and sleeps later than the moon. Ten years of practice, every single day, with intense self-discipline. Have any of you experienced that?”
Jiang Cha looked at Xiao Yun, her shoulders relaxing.
“She doesn’t dare eat an extra bite of meat to maintain her figure for her art, and she has to endure your insults online. Have you lived a day in her shoes?”
“No. You just know how to type on a keyboard. No, you just have mouths that spew filth all day.”
“But I know. My wife is a dancer, an artist, a Queen recognized by all. She earned every bit of it through hard work.”
Xiao Yun understood. No success in any industry is easy, especially reaching the top. She understood because she was a doctor—the late nights, the difficult patients, the pressure of surgery. She understood Jiang Cha. She held her a bit tighter and gave her a reassuring look.
Jiang Cha’s pupils dilated. No one had ever described her work that way before. A dancer. A flirt. A face.
Only Xiao Yun called her an artist.
The onlookers were moved.
“Wow, what a high-level confession. It beats ‘I love you’ any day.”
“Loving someone is validating them, defending them, and standing by them unconditionally.”
“President Xiao, I’ve fallen for you! Jiangjiang is so lucky.”
That night, under a clear moon, Xiao Yun and Jiang Cha walked side-by-side on the beach. Their hands occasionally brushed against each other. Xiao Yun instinctively pulled back, while Jiang Cha moved slightly to the right to create space. It was a subtle distance, but Xiao Yun felt it.
She was being extra observant because in this ten-minute walk, Jiang Cha had looked at her at least three times. Each time, she had that half-smile that made Xiao Yun think of a movie villain waiting for the right moment to strike.
Xiao Yun felt her face burning and used her hand to cool it down. Jiang Cha slowed her pace and turned her head, her hair fluttering in the breeze.
“Are you uncomfortable?”
“No.”
“Oh.” Jiang Cha opened up naturally. “Miss Xiao, I want to thank you for today.”
Finally, the thanks. Xiao Yun relaxed. “No need for thanks. They were insulting you, which means they were insulting me too.”
Jiang Cha looked at the moon. “I’ve studied dance since I was a child. I only knew it was hard work and a way to make a living. I know people look at modern dance through a biased lens.”
“Dirty people see everything as dirty. Ignore them,” Xiao Yun comforted. “Music, dance, writing, food, farming, education—every job deserves respect.”
Jiang Cha’s eyes brightened. she turned to walk backward, facing Xiao Yun. “So, you think I’m an artist.”
“Of course.” Xiao Yun never blushed when praising someone. “What do you think of that title?”
“It’s the first time someone has said that about my job.” Jiang Cha walked backward, her hands behind her back. “The world says the Second Miss is crude and shallow. Today it seems you not only appreciate art but have deep insights into life.”
Xiao Yun felt the pressure of the praise. “Well, the world also says I change Omegas every day. In reality, I’m just an ordinary Beta. Rumors can’t be trusted.”
Jiang Cha stopped. “Why is a Beta ‘ordinary’? I think being a Beta is great.” Especially a Beta like Xiao Yun, she thought.
“Is it?” Xiao Yun mused. Is it great because I can’t mark you?
Jiang Cha nodded and listed famous people who were Betas. Xiao Yun enjoyed the conversation, smiling as they walked—until she forgot to look behind Jiang Cha, where a massive reef sat.
Jiang Cha stepped into empty air. “Ah!” She fell backward.
Xiao Yun lunged forward, grabbing her wrist and pulling her hard toward her. Jiang Cha crashed into her arms. She was incredibly soft, and the scent of roses was intoxicating. Unlike a romantic drama, however, Xiao Yun’s heart remained still—and a little terrified.
Jiang Cha looked up, her watery eyes meeting Xiao Yun’s. Her ears turned red, and she quickly pushed her away with an awkward “thank you.”
The next day, the “Yun-Jiang CP” dominated the top three trending topics again.

The fans were losing their minds over the dance.
[CP Magnifying Glass]: Is this allowed? ‘Press down, change positions’?
[Ginger Baby]: Our Jiangjiang is so hot. Xiao Yun is one lucky person. I’m starting to like her too. Take care of our Jiang!
Xia Yueyao angrily turned off her phone and pouted at her Alpha. “We need to change tactics. People aren’t buying the ‘boundary-pushing’ stuff anymore. Let’s dress more conservatively for the beach dodgeball today.”
Her Alpha comforted her: “But the director said everyone must wear bikinis.”
“I know, but we can be more modest.”
On the other side, Xiao Yun wore a slightly more “revealing” bikini than before, as per Jiang Cha’s request. Jiang Cha did the same. As Jiang Cha walked toward her in a lotus-pink one-piece that was quite sexy, Xiao Yun nearly choked on her orange juice. Now that she knows I’m a Beta, she’s really going all out.
The director explained the rules: “Alphas throw the ball, and if it hits the opposing Omega, you win. Omegas can hide behind their Alphas—you choose the posture.”
Xiao Yun chugged her soda, thinking about how to protect her. Jiang Cha was applying sunscreen, her fingers moving gracefully over her skin. She squeezed some into her palm and reached back.
“I can’t reach.”
Jiang Cha’s voice was soft as she looked at a dazed Xiao Yun. She leaned in and handed her the tube.
“Yunyun, help me with my back.”
