After returning from camping and several days of rehearsals, the New Year’s Day Gala was finally about to begin. It was called a “gala,” but it actually started at 3 PM, so as not to take up the students’ evening time.

Fu Shuyun was incredibly nervous right now, not because she was about to go on stage to host, but because she would finally meet Shi Jing’s parents tonight!

Shi Jing had submitted her annual leave request early. Her original intention was for her parents to arrive on the morning of the 1st. It was still early. She took a detour to Zhang Huming’s restaurant, packing three full boxes of Japanese food, and headed to A University. She had originally planned for them to have hot pot for lunch, but time was too tight, so she decided to bring food instead.

As soon as her morning class ended, she took out her phone and saw Sister’s message about bringing her food. She worried if Sister would be unhappy that she hadn’t replied. Stepping out of the academic building, she looked up and saw Shi Jing sitting on a stone bench under a tree, basking in the sun, with the Japanese food and two cups of bubble tea beside her. Mmm, and someone was walking up to hit on her.

Fu Shuyun immediately straddled Shi Jing’s lap, cupped her face, and kissed her soft lips, completely disregarding the busy flow of students leaving the teaching building after class.

The two students who had relentlessly tried to get Fu Shuyun’s contact information were stunned by this scene. Is that Fu Shuyun, the senior from the Finance Department? So dominant? Since it was already bought, they could eat what they could, and take the rest home for a snack this afternoon or tonight. Fu Shuyun picked up a piece of eel and put it in her mouth.

Enjoying good food is truly a joy.

This was Shi Jing’s first time in Fu Shuyun’s dorm. A University’s dorms certainly lived up to their reputation—a double room. Thinking back to her own university days, with six people crammed into one room, she couldn’t help but wonder why she hadn’t managed to get into A University back then.

“The gala starts at 3 PM. Sister, do you want to take a nap in the dorm?”
