Chapter 28 – Marking

Xu Zhixia accidentally fell down the stairs.

Ji Mian was terribly worried and scared. Hearing her beloved cry out in pain, her heart couldn’t take it and twisted up like a meat grinder.

“What happened?” Ji Mian brought ice to rub on Xu Zhixia’s ankle.

Although there were no signs of a sprain, and it didn’t look like an injury, seeing Xu Zhixia’s suffering expression, Ji Mian wondered, Could it be an internal injury?

“Mian Mian, it hurts so much…”

Ji Mian kissed and comforted her, almost bursting into tears herself.

Xu Zhixia, being “sensible,” said, “Mian Mian, it’s okay. You go ahead. I can manage.” She tried to stand up and walk, but immediately collapsed.

“You’re my wife, of course, I’m good to you,” Ji Mian said casually, which Xu Zhixia interpreted as a sweet declaration of love.

“I want a sip of hot water,” Xu Zhixia said plaintively.

“I’ll go get it for you.”

“My butt hurts.”

“I’ll help you…”

Until, “My lips are so dry. Can you kiss me?”

Ji Mian: “…”

“Fine, I won’t ask anymore,” Xu Zhixia pouted.

In the evening, Ji Mian brought the dinner she had cooked to feed Xu Zhixia.

Xu Zhixia took a few bites and frowned: “It doesn’t taste as good as barbecue. What kind of takeout did you order?”

Ji Mian’s face darkened: “I cooked this myself.”

Xu Zhixia smiled brightly: “Since Mian Mian made it, of course, I have to eat it.”

Ji Mian was extremely happy to see Xu Zhixia’s smile.

However, she felt a tingling sensation within her body.

Ji Mian realized with dread that her rut was approaching.

Xu Zhixia smiled: “Mian Mian, you’re not allowed to leave me. If I suddenly want something, it would be so painful if you weren’t here.”

“Don’t worry, I absolutely won’t go anywhere.” Ji Mian couldn’t possibly leave her. If the rut was coming, so be it. I’ll endure it!

Around ten o’clock, Xu Zhixia finished watching TV and stretched lazily.

Ji Mian walked in after her shower, only to see Xu Zhixia had changed into the revealing lingerie she had worn before. Ji Mian was immediately stunned.

She tried to look away, but her eyes wouldn’t obey, insisting on looking at every inch of Xu Zhixia’s skin. Every part of her seemed to be guiding her with intense affection.

Ji Mian swallowed, Oh my god!!

Ji Mian opened the blanket, and Xu Zhixia immediately snuggled up to her.

The strong mint scent completely filled the air around them.

So… fragrant.

Ji Mian swallowed and said to Xu Zhixia, “Xia Xia, the music boss wants to talk to me. I’m going to the room next door to chat with him. If you need anything, just call out, and I’ll rush back.”

Xu Zhixia pouted: “No. What if you’re chatting and don’t hear me?”

Ji Mian was about to insist, but Xu Zhixia started crying and wailing: “If I accidentally fall down and Mian Mian isn’t here to see me, I’ll be so sad, really~”

Ji Mian’s heart ached again. She hugged Xu Zhixia and said, “I absolutely won’t leave you for a second.”

Despite saying that, Ji Mian still stayed in the bathroom for a long time.

Xu Zhixia couldn’t stand it anymore. She deliberately fell off the bed and shouted loudly.

Ji Mian heard her cry and rushed out, pulling up her pants as she went.

Ji Mian scolded her: “Why are you so clumsy?”

Xu Zhixia sighed: “Mian Mian wasn’t here, so I had to go get water myself.”

Ji Mian: “…”

Hugging Xu Zhixia, Ji Mian felt a tingling, numb sensation, like being tickled by a feather. She desperately wanted to kiss her.

But if she started kissing, she knew what would follow.

Xu Zhixia kept purposefully touching Ji Mian all over. This is teasing, this is pure teasing!

“Mian Mian~” Her voice became soft, her eyes seductive.

Ji Mian was staring blankly.

“Do you think I look pretty right now?” Xu Zhixia said shyly, blushing.

“Of course, you look pretty.”

“Then do you want to do something to me?”

Ji Mian lightly kissed her lips and said, “Xia Xia smells so good.”

“Then do you want more?” Xu Zhixia smiled brightly.

“Of course, I do!” Ji Mian chuckled, then immediately cleared her head: “Oh no! Let’s just go to sleep.”

Xu Zhixia’s long, slender white fingers traced patterns on Ji Mian’s arm.

She laughed: “There’s plenty of time. Do we really have to sleep?”

The emphasis on the word “really” was practically leaping out of her mouth.

Ji Mian found her utterly captivating and wanted to aggressively kiss the beauty in her arms.

Damn it!

After Xu Zhixia’s persistent efforts, Ji Mian finally gave in.

Ji Mian was on top of Xu Zhixia. She gazed lovingly at the shy girl beneath her, desperately wanting to lean down and savor her taste.

Oh no, I can’t do that!!

Ji Mian tried to pull away, but Xu Zhixia grabbed her hand.

Xu Zhixia snapped: “Ji Mian, if you don’t do me right now, I’m going to do you later!!”

Ji Mian: “…”

Xu Zhixia couldn’t take it anymore. She had gone to all this effort to create the mood, and the other person was just flirting and leaving. Who was she to let the other person abandon her so easily?!

“You have two choices: One, unauthorized copytoday you must act like an Alpha, or Two, you must act like a wife. Choose.” Xu Zhixia said coldly.

Ji Mian: “…”

Ji Mian said awkwardly, “Can I choose a third option?”

Xu Zhixia sneered: “Is there a third option? Oh~ there is a third option, and that is for us to both act like a couple.”

Ji Mian swallowed.

“Am I not attractive enough?” Xu Zhixia suddenly dropped her dominant demeanor and became insecure.

“It seems Mian Mian still doesn’t love me enough.”

“Of course not!” Ji Mian denied instantly. She hugged Xu Zhixia and said sincerely, “I love you more than I love myself. I value you more than I value myself right now.”

“Well, I feel the same way,” Xu Zhixia’s eyes lit up. “I love you more than I love myself. I’ll love you forever, no, a lifetime isn’t enough, a hundred lifetimes isn’t enough. I want to be with you permanently.”

“Xia Xia…” Ji Mian was deeply moved. She gripped Xu Zhixia’s chin and kissed her heavily. She knew that Xu Zhixia’s heart and body were hers forever. Forever…
