A Yandere Omega Abandoned Me After Getting Pregnant - Chapter 10
Ye Xingran finally left.
She stormed out, clutching the cat and breaking free from Wei Xuejin’s restraint. However, her face remained flushed, making her look undeniably pitiful.
The black-and-white fluffy creature on her shoulder was in an even worse state; its head was practically sizzling with steam. It lay on its owner’s shoulder with a red face, stealing glances back at Wei Xuejin. The stray lock of hair on its head swayed with its movements, making one instinctively want to reach out and flick it.
Sensing Wei Xuejin’s gaze, the creature quickly covered its burning face and buried its head, refusing to look back.
Wei Xuejin: “…”
Wei Xuejin’s subordinates were all waiting outside, maintaining a discreet five-meter distance from the bathroom for fear of overhearing something they shouldn’t.
The male Alpha Ye Xingran had kicked unconscious had already been dragged out; they couldn’t allow anyone to disturb their boss’s intimate moment.
However, when Ye Xingran emerged shortly after, carrying a tabby cat with a flushed face and glistening, watery eyes, a single thought popped into all their minds simultaneously: She got “counter-attacked”?!
Truly, she’s all style and no substance.
No, no—even just looking at her, she didn’t seem very “substantial.” From her appearance to her temperament and her current expression… she looked exactly like the type of Alpha who would be easily bullied by an Omega.
And their President Wei… was not someone just anyone could handle. This little Alpha must have been bullied ruthlessly.
“Here’s your cat. Please keep it from running around; it nearly caused a fatality.”
Ye Xingran didn’t actually know these people, but the System provided a brief introduction in her mind. She realized the female Beta leading the group was Wei Xuejin’s special assistant, Gu Yun. She was the one who had brought people in to stop Wei Xuejin’s aunt, Wei Mingmei, and was clearly trustworthy.
Ye Xingran irritably stuffed the cat into the assistant’s arms. Meeting the woman’s strange and subtle gaze, she couldn’t help but ask the System: “Why is everyone looking at me like that? Did I do something wrong?”
[Erm… Host, don’t you think you came out a bit too… quickly?]
“?”
“Miss Alpha, what exactly did you mean by ’caused a fatality’?” Gu Yun asked dutifully.
“…Is your President Wei afraid of small animals like cats or snakes?” Ye Xingran belatedly realized her previous words were a bit ambiguous and quickly changed the subject. “She seemed terrified of this cat.”
If she was afraid, why keep them? But who knew what kind of weird hobbies the ultra-rich had? As a “stupid villain,” she wasn’t in a position to interfere with others’ preferences.
“The cat and the snake actually don’t belong to President Wei. Someone is just boarding them here temporarily.” Gu Yun’s mood seemed to dip slightly at the mention of this, but she didn’t elaborate. Instead, she straightened up and looked at Ye Xingran. “Thank you very much for what happened today.”
Gu Yun didn’t know the full story or who this little Alpha was, but Wei Xuejin didn’t seem to reject her, and she had genuinely helped. Based on those two facts alone, she concluded the little Alpha wasn’t a bad person.
Besides, they had already caught the Alpha who actually drugged Wei Xuejin! It further proved that Ye Xingran was just a lucky—or unlucky—bystander caught in the crossfire. They did, after all, have full surveillance coverage.
“You’re welcome. I hope we never meet again.” To Ye Xingran, today felt like a fever dream. She pulled the searingly hot 100-million-yuan check from her pocket and pressed it into Gu Yun’s hand. “By the way, returning this to its rightful owner.”
Gu Yun didn’t realize what it was at first. When she looked down and saw a 100-million-yuan check signed by Wei Xuejin, she didn’t dare accept it. “If you wish to return this, please return it to President Wei personally. I cannot do it on your behalf!”
Internally, she wondered… had her boss, who usually only cared about making money, finally found a hobby? Like… flirting with this little Alpha? She even gave her a 100-million-yuan (support) fee, and the girl was actually unmoved?
Where could one find such a high-minded Alpha? No, she had to play matchmaker for the President! Whether it succeeded or not was a problem for later!
But Ye Xingran had no interest in listening. Seeing the woman wouldn’t take the check, she slapped it onto a table, gathered her things, and prepared to leave.
However, she couldn’t find her “Moocher Agreement” anywhere. She started to turn back to ask Gu Yun about it.
Right then, her phone rang inside her backpack. It was a specific ringtone—one that Ye Xingran dreaded most.
Her face darkened. She knew she had to answer, or the fallout would be immense. She slung her bag over her shoulder and walked out the door; the agreement wasn’t signed anyway, so it didn’t matter if she left it behind.
Gu Yun tried to stop her, but she was too fast.
Five minutes later, Wei Xuejin emerged from the bathroom, having changed her clothes. Seeing Gu Yun standing there with a troubled face and no sign of Ye Xingran, she asked, “What happened?”
“President Wei, that Alpha lady refused the check.” Gu Yun spoke with a hint of melancholy, holding out the check along with the “Moocher Agreement” she had hidden. “And she left this agreement behind.”
Her voice contained a trace of gossip she couldn’t quite hide.
Wei Xuejin remained expressionless. It seemed that once Ye Xingran left, she had returned to her state of deathly stillness—a refined, lifelike doll. Only the silk scarf tied around her wrist served as a testament to what had just occurred.
Unfortunately, the little Alpha had no intention of being her “exclusive gift.”
Wei Xuejin took the check without looking at it, but she picked up the agreement and flipped through it quickly. Finally, she rubbed her temples and said to Gu Yun:
“It’s my fault for offering too little. She’s clearly the type who doesn’t fight for things. Redraft a new ‘Moocher Agreement.’ Make sure all the terms are heavily in her favor. I’ll give it to her to sign the next time we meet.”
Her tone carried a hint of self-reproach and guilt.
Gu Yun: “…Yes?”
…???!
