After Pretending to Be an Alpha, I Was Exposed by My Rival - Chapter 2
Zhou Yijue had been feeling uneasy the entire day.
He wasn’t sure whether Lu Chizhou had discovered his secret. And if he had, would he report him?
If his Alpha disguise was exposed, he would not only be expelled from the mecha department, but also have a permanent record placed in his file. From then on, he would never be allowed to work in related fields again. His only options would be clerical work—or marrying an Alpha, becoming a househusband, and living a life of raising children at home.
He would rather jump off the rooftop of the research building and die outside than bear children for any damn Alpha.
Sitting at the back of the classroom, Zhou Yijue could easily see Lu Chizhou from the side. Even while making that firm “flag,” his resentful gaze stayed fixed on Lu Chizhou’s back.
Typical arrogant Alpha.
The heavens were so unfair. Hmph.
Grinding his teeth and swallowing the sour jealousy in his mouth, Zhou Yijue looked away and shifted his gaze to the teacher at the blackboard who was spitting all over the place while lecturing.
“小 Zhou Zhou, why do you look so troubled?”
Yuan Haojun raised the Sci-fi Mecha Dissection Analysis Lab Tutorial book, crouched down, and hid his big head behind it while whispering to Zhou Yijue.
“Where did you go just now? I couldn’t find you anywhere. I even messaged you, but you didn’t reply. I wanted to tell you the teacher suddenly changed the schedule.”
“Nowhere.” Zhou Yijue’s voice was dull, clearly in a bad mood.
Ever since being caught by Lu Chizhou in the restroom, he had been like this. Until he confirmed whether Lu Chizhou had discovered his secret, he couldn’t calm down.
When exactly did that guy appear in the restroom?
How much did he see?
How much did he figure out?
These questions kept circling in his mind, impossible to shake off.
“Old Lu, what are you looking at?”
Wu Qi tried to follow Lu Chizhou’s gaze, but was pushed back by him. A heavy textbook was shoved onto Wu Qi’s face, while Lu Chizhou wore a faint smile.
“Are you possessed by some gossip spirit? So curious. Focus on your class.”
“You still haven’t told me—what were you doing before class? I was talking with Gouzi, and when I turned around you were gone.”
Wu Qi pulled the book off his face and grinned slyly.
“With our childhood friendship—since we wore split-crotch pants together—I can tell there’s something fishy about that smile.”
“If you fail last week’s test again and still haven’t told Aunt Zhou, should I casually mention it for you after school?”
“Don’t! Brother Lu, I was wrong!”
Wu Qi immediately straightened up and turned to look at the blackboard, pretending to be a model student.
His mother liked Lu Chizhou—good-looking, excellent grades. Compared to her own son, she would gladly stuff him back into the womb and cook him as roast pork instead.
If she found out he failed again, she’d break his leg for sure.
After class ended.
Zhou Yijue told Yuan Haojun to go ahead first, and lingered until most students had left. Then he slung his backpack over his shoulder and walked out slowly.
He scanned the crowd ahead, locked onto one figure, and followed him.
Lu Chizhou entered a changing room. Seeing that he went in alone, Zhou Yijue gritted his teeth and followed.
But once inside, Lu Chizhou was nowhere to be seen—only a row of closed doors.
Just as he hesitated about whether to knock, a strong presence suddenly pressed in behind him. A shadow covered him, and a low male voice sounded near his ear:
“Hey, looking for me?”
That voice, soft and slightly teasing, sent a tingling sensation through his ears. An S-rank Alpha’s mental force had a chemical-like effect on an Omega at close range, and Zhou Yijue’s ears turned red uncontrollably.
Lu Chizhou immediately noticed.
He chuckled.
“…Heh.” So cute.
So easy to get flustered.
In the entire school, probably only one person could describe Zhou Yijue as “cute.”
“Don’t talk in my ear like that,” Zhou Yijue snapped. “And don’t breathe on me!”
He was angry, his face flushed red—but in Lu Chizhou’s eyes, it looked like embarrassment.
Who knew why he misunderstood it like that.
If Zhou Yijue knew what Lu Chizhou was thinking right now, he would have already thrown a punch at that ridiculously handsome face.
Lu Chizhou stepped back with a smile, raising his hands in surrender.
“Alright, alright. I’ll keep my distance.”
“Now listen—”
“You speak.”
“Shut up, don’t interrupt me.”
Lu Chizhou blinked. “Okay.” …Cute.
Zhou Yijue’s eyes widened even more.
“Today at the science building, why did you go into the first-floor restroom? The class was clearly on the fourth floor.”
He chose his words carefully, asking indirectly. He didn’t know how much Lu Chizhou had seen—but he couldn’t take the risk.
Not even a little.
If his Omega identity was exposed, he would lose all choices.
“I was just passing by and needed the bathroom,” Zhou Yijue added firmly. “I didn’t know about the schedule change beforehand.”
“I was also just passing by and needed the bathroom,” Lu Chizhou replied. “And I just happened to see you fastening your buttons… why were you fastening your buttons while peeing?”
“Shut your—! I was sweating. It was hot. I washed up.”
Zhou Yijue instinctively snapped back, then forced himself to restrain it, remembering he was trying to gather information.
“You really only saw me fastening my buttons? Nothing else?”
“Should I have seen something else?”
“No. You shouldn’t have seen anything. That’s it. Goodbye.”
Having gotten his answer, Zhou Yijue immediately turned and left.
One more second with this guy and he felt like he might explode and punch him.
Lu Chizhou touched his face, watching Zhou Yijue flee as if embarrassed (he wasn’t), a charming smile spreading across his face.
He’s working this hard just to get my attention?
How can he be this cute?
After confirming Lu Chizhou hadn’t discovered his secret, Zhou Yijue returned to his usual aggressive, unapproachable demeanor and walked through campus with a fierce expression.
“Stop right there!”
Three strong Alphas blocked his path. Two of them wore tomato-egg colored uniforms—clearly not from their school.
“You’re the guy who rejected our Anran multiple times?”
“So what? Want to fight?” Zhou Yijue sneered.
He had been fighting since childhood—he was good at it. Back in the alleys he was the boss of the kids, and in school he rose to the top after beating older students. By the time he reached university, he had already toned down slightly—but only slightly.
In this era of the strong dominating the weak, he had no intention of holding back.
Fear only invited bullying.
“After school tonight. Meet at the school gate,” the taller outsider said, pointing right at his face.
Zhou Yijue glanced at the finger with disgust.
“No need to wait until after school. We can fight now. All together or one by one—your choice.”
“…”
“…Wait, fighting on campus gets punished,” one of them said hesitantly.
“Fighting outside also gets punished,” Zhou Yijue replied.
“Then why aren’t you afraid?”
“Because you’re the ones challenging me. At most, it’s self-defense. If I accidentally go overboard… it’s because I panicked and hit too hard.”
“….”
“….”
“Boss, I suddenly remembered I have homework.”
“I also forgot I still have math problems to finish!”
The two outsiders bolted instantly.
Only one student remained—someone in the same blue-and-white uniform.
Zhou Yijue grabbed him by the collar, dragging him forward.
“Seriously? This is all you’ve got? Next time find better backup. Don’t get me excited for a fight and then back out—I get angry when I’m disappointed. Do you know what happens when I get angry?”
“I-I’m sorry, Zhou ge, spare me!” Sun Zhengqiang cried.
He remembered last semester’s mecha training… and the fear came flooding back.
How did he let greed for beauty cloud his judgment?
Zhou Yijue let go. “Tch. Useless.”
“I’m thirsty. Go buy me a cold drink.”
“R-right away!”
Sun Zhengqiang ran off immediately.
But not long after buying a cold soda, he was suddenly dragged into a small grove by someone.
“W-who—? Lu, Lu ge!”
Before he could curse, he saw Lu Chizhou.
His expression immediately turned sycophantic as he handed over the drink.
“Lu ge, it’s hot, have some water.”
“Sun Zhengqiang,” Lu Chizhou said, patting his face lightly, right where Zhou Yijue had hit him. “Do you know what you did wrong?”
The pain made Sun Zhengqiang cry out.
“I-I don’t know…”
Lu Chizhou’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“Not knowing is fine. People who make mistakes should suffer a little.”
With a glance, Wu Qi and Monkey moved in.
They covered his mouth and punched him in the stomach a few times.
“Ugh—!”
The soda fell to the ground and rolled to Lu Chizhou’s feet. He picked it up, wiped the dirt off, and placed it back into Sun Zhengqiang’s hand.
“Hold it properly.”
Sun Zhengqiang trembled violently, terrified out of his mind.
Lu Chizhou still looked gentle and harmless—but when he fought, he was far more ruthless than anyone.
People said Zhou Yijue was the most dangerous first-year at Lycaman Academy.
But to Sun Zhengqiang—
Lu Chizhou was the real one.
Zhou Yijue was just an angry big dog.
Lu Chizhou… was a poisonous snake that bites.
