After Pretending to Be an Alpha, I Was Exposed by My Rival - Chapter 3
Sun Zhengqiang returned to the classroom. When he accidentally looked up and saw the three people who had just assaulted him, his heart shrank in fear. He quickly averted his gaze and took a detour to Zhou Yijue’s desk, placing the soda down.
“Zhou ge, your drink.”
When Zhou Yijue took it, he glanced at him. “Why is your face even more swollen than before?”
He was pretty sure he hadn’t hit that hard.
Sun Zhengqiang felt a terrifying gaze behind him. He swallowed and said, “You must’ve seen wrong.”
Zhou Yijue twisted the bottle cap open. As his fingers touched it, he felt fine grains of sand stuck in the grooves—dirty and gritty.
He turned around, shook the soda bottle toward Sun Zhengqiang sitting behind him, and raised an eyebrow.
“Did you fall on your way back? Flat-ground fall?”
Sun Zhengqiang’s face turned red—half from pain, half from anger.
Today was seriously unlucky. Maybe he should check the almanac tomorrow. If it says it’s not a good day to go out, he’ll just skip school.
Seeing that he wasn’t going to answer, Zhou Yijue didn’t bother pressing further. He wasn’t the type to pry into other people’s business anyway.
He opened the bottle and tilted his head back, drinking the soda in one go. His prominent Adam’s apple moved sexily with every swallow.
Beside him, Yuan Haojun rested his chin on his hand and stared at him with an infatuated expression.
“Xiao Zhou Zhou, the way you drink is way too damn sexy. If I were an Omega, I’d definitely marry you.”
“Yuan Datou, if you were an Omega, I’d rather stay single forever than marry you.”
“Ugh, why are you like this? You hurt my little heart.”
“Shut up. Say another cutesy word and I’ll meet you in mech simulation training bay.”
Yuan Haojun immediately sealed his lips and made a zipping motion.
“Lu ge, what are you looking at? Your eyes are practically glued.”
Monkey was sitting next to Lu Chizhou, eating a banana. He grabbed another one from the desk and was about to ask if Lu Chizhou wanted it, when he noticed the latter staring straight ahead.
Although his nickname was Monkey, his build was closer to a gorilla—big and rough, with a mind as broad as a basketball court.
He followed Lu Chizhou’s gaze.
It passed right over Zhou Yijue and landed on the school belle standing outside the back door of the classroom—Li Ziyan.
Li Ziyan had fair skin, long legs, a slim waist, and a perfect figure—an idol in the hearts of countless male students.
But she was an Alpha.
Ranked third in the entire school, only below Lu Chizhou and Zhou Yijue.
A suffocating combination.
It was like opening a chat window expecting a cute girl, only to find out she’s actually a dominant Alpha—pretty face, huge presence, even more intimidating than you imagined.
“Lu ge, don’t tell me you like Li Ziyan? AA relationships don’t end well.”
Lu Chizhou frowned at that last sentence. “You won’t know unless you try.”
After finishing his drink, Zhou Yijue casually met eyes with Lu Chizhou across the room.
His expression immediately turned sharp. He shot him a vicious glare, then looked away as if nothing had happened.
Since that guy didn’t discover his secret, there was nothing to worry about.
He tossed the empty soda bottle into the trash bin in the back corner of the classroom and opened his book to prepare for class.
Originally, this period was supposed to be physical training, but the teacher had suddenly changed the schedule.
The teachers today were acting strange—one after another, all changing classes at the last minute.
Monkey dragged Wu Qi into the restroom to talk privately.
“What’s wrong with you? Coming to the restroom just to find shit?” Wu Qi pinched his nose, deeply confused. “Do you know how bad it smells in a men’s restroom?”
“I’ve got a secret. Keep your voice down,” Monkey said.
“Then hurry up and say it.”
“Lu ge likes Li Ziyan.”
“What?! Lu ge likes Li Ziyan?!” Wu Qi shouted in shock.
Monkey quickly covered his mouth and glanced nervously at the door. “Keep it down! If Lu ge finds out we’re talking about this, we’re done for.”
“But Lu ge is an Alpha, and Li Ziyan is also an Alpha. AA relationships don’t work. Besides, their genes are so good—Uncle Lu is probably waiting for grandchildren. He definitely won’t agree.”
“Yeah, that’s why I’m worried. There are so many Omegas chasing Lu ge already—why would he fall for an Alpha instead?”
“Maybe it’s because he’s been hanging out with us too much. He got influenced. No—this is serious. For Uncle Lu’s future happiness, I’m willing to risk my life to advise him!”
“You think Lu ge will listen?”
“…He won’t.”
Their courage deflated instantly.
“But I’ve got an idea,” Monkey said with a sly grin.
“What idea?”
“A matchmaking event. A friend of mine is hosting a mixer at Juesè Bar this Saturday. We can trick Lu ge into going. There’ll definitely be tons of beautiful Omegas there. Once he smells Omega pheromones, he’ll forget Li Ziyan.”
“Deal. You lure him, I’ll act dumb.”
Monkey: “……”
Saturday noon.
Yuan Haojun was gaming in Zhou Yijue’s room, completely taking over his setup—desk, chair, high-end PC—forcing Zhou Yijue to sit on the window sill with his long legs awkwardly curled up.
“Xiao Zhou Zhou, come somewhere with me tonight?”
“Where?”
“Juesè Bar.”
“No.”
He rejected immediately.
“I knew you’d refuse.” Yuan Haojun used his foot to pull over a bag, opened it, and pulled out a thick, worn book: The Birth and Users of the Strongest Mecha. The pages were yellowed and the corners curled.
Zhou Yijue’s eyes lit up instantly.
“Give me the book. I’ll go—but only this once.”
“Mm-hm.” Yuan Haojun blew him a kiss and went back to gaming.
Zhou Yijue loved mechas—especially piloting them. This book was extremely rare: only one copy existed in the entire galaxy.
He couldn’t resist it.
That night, they changed into formal suits.
Yuan Haojun wore black, showing off his muscular build. Zhou Yijue wore white, looking like a prince straight out of a manga.
“Ahhh Xiao Zhou Zhou, you’re cheating! You look so good—the Omegas will all be yours!”
“I’ll change,” Zhou Yijue said seriously.
“No no, it’s fine! We’re going to be late anyway.”
They got into the car and headed to Juesè Bar.
Lu Chizhou arrived at the bar with his two childhood friends and was led into a large VIP room.
Inside were mixed ABOs—mostly Alphas, a few Omegas, and very few Betas.
The moment the Omegas saw him, their eyes lit up.
Lu Chizhou frowned. He was used to those looks.
“Did you trick me?” he asked coldly.
“Lu ge, we’re doing this for your own good! AA relationships really don’t work. Look, there are so many beautiful Omegas here—”
Before they could finish, the door opened again.
Yuan Haojun and Zhou Yijue walked in.
One in black, one in white.
The black suit outlined Yuan Haojun’s muscular physique. The white suit made Zhou Yijue look almost unreal—pale skin, sharp features, like a celestial being who had fallen into the human world.
For a moment, the room fell silent.
The Alphas were stunned. The Omegas were stunned.
And then they realized—
He was an Alpha.
What a pity.
So beautiful… and still an Alpha.
“Lu ge, we’re sorry, but can you please stay a little longer? Just have a drink,” Wu Qi pleaded.
Lu Chizhou glanced at him. “When did I say I was leaving?”
“……Huh?”
Monkey’s expression changed instantly.
Oh no.
This is bad.
A full-on mess.
The two strongest, most incompatible Alphas in the school were now in the same room.
Monkey already started scanning for the safest corner to survive.
“You called both of them here?” someone hissed at the organizer, Old Four. “Are you insane?”
Old Four was on the verge of tears. “I didn’t know! They said they’d bring friends!”
And now—
The two worst rivals in the school… together in one room.
Old Four could already hear his single life slipping away.
Zhou Yijue stepped inside and immediately felt something was wrong in the air.
Then he saw Lu Chizhou.
Ah.
So that’s why.
Again.
Yuan Haojun also froze.
He had no idea.
Now it was too late.
“Yuan Datou,” Zhou Yijue said darkly.
“…I really didn’t know,” Yuan Haojun stammered.
“You’re dead.”
“Waaah—”
The atmosphere in the room slowly became lively again as people awkwardly tried to recover.
“Come on, let’s drink!”
Old Four forced a laugh, sweating bullets.
Zhou Yijue was already suppressing his temper. He didn’t want to ruin Yuan Haojun’s expectations.
They sat down as far from Lu Chizhou as possible.
“Xiao Zhou Zhou, we’ll only stay one hour,” Yuan Haojun said, holding up a finger.
Zhou Yijue rubbed his temple and snorted.
“Whatever.”
