Lu Yan put the tools back in the bathroom and then carefully slid into the covers, wrapping her arms around Shen Su’s waist. “Sister, I’m so worried about you being abroad alone. Look, even though you told me in advance, I still didn’t arrive in time and caused you to get hurt.”

She whispered softly: “I’m sorry…”

A wave of aching guilt filled Shen Su’s heart. It was clearly she who had caused the injury to hide the truth, yet now Lu Yan was apologizing to her. She felt as though her heart were being squeezed by an invisible hand.

Shen Su hummed softly. She, on the other hand, wished time would slow down so she could spend more time with Lu Yan.

“Sister, what do you want to do in two years? Will you inherit the family business? I feel like you aren’t very interested in managing a company.” Lu Yan tilted her head and nuzzled Shen Su’s neck. “Whatever you want to do, I will support you.”

“Okay,” Shen Su replied, her voice lacking conviction.

While Lu Yan was planning their future together, Shen Su was thinking about how to leave. She felt a deep sense of guilt. Shen Su lowered her head slightly and pressed a gentle kiss on the corner of Lu Yan’s eye.

Lu Yan revealed a smile, cupped Shen Su’s face with both hands, and kissed her. It was a rare, aggressive stance. But soon, driven by instinct, Shen Su took back the initiative.

Passion spread like a prairie fire. The scent of iris and the smell of wine intertwined like vines, inseparable.

“Sister, I love you so much. Don’t ever leave me again, okay?”

Shen Su, who was licking Lu Yan’s scent gland, paused for a moment. A flash of pain crossed her dark pupils. She didn’t answer; instead, she marked Lu Yan once again.

The curtains in the room remained drawn, keeping the light dim. After an unknown amount of time, Lu Yan woke up. Seeing Shen Su sleeping peacefully, she reached out and slowly traced the contours of her face.

“Sister, just what are you hiding from me?” Lu Yan murmured in a low voice. “It doesn’t matter. As long as you stay by my side, I don’t care about anything.”

A moment later, Shen Su slowly opened her eyes. “Why is it so dark? Is it not dawn yet?”

“I don’t know…” Lu Yan glanced toward the window. “The curtains are too good at blocking light; I can’t tell if it’s day or night.”

“Open the window for some fresh air.” Shen Su propped herself up against the pillows.

Lu Yan hummed and stood up to walk toward the window. As she expected, Shen Su called out to her.

“Wait, put some clothes on first.” Shen Su paused. “There are dresses I prepared for you in the wardrobe.”

“Okay.” Lu Yan opened the wardrobe, and her eyes lit up; there were many beautiful dresses inside.

In the past, Lu Yan had been resentful about differentiating into an Omega, so she rarely wore dresses. But after being with Shen Su, she didn’t mind it as much. She curled her lips and looked back. “Which one does Sister want to see me in?”

“The light pink one. It should suit you well.”

So, Lu Yan changed into the light pink dress right in front of Shen Su. Both of them knew exactly what this behavior implied, yet Shen Su insisted on teasing her, acting as if she were merely critiquing the outfit: “Our Yan Yan is a natural clothes horse; you look good in everything. This dress makes you look even more adorable.”

After putting on the dress, Lu Yan climbed up from the foot of the bed and propped her hands on either side of Shen Su. “Since Sister is being so complimentary, I don’t even know how to find fault!”

Shen Su raised her hand, her thumb slowly stroking Lu Yan’s reddened lips. “What’s the point in finding fault?”

“Then what is the point?” Lu Yan blinked her misty eyes and leaned closer to ask.

Shen Su chuckled. “Eating.”

Lu Yan was dazed by the word. “What?”

“Aren’t you hungry?” Shen Su pinched Lu Yan’s cheek with a smile. “I had you put on clothes so we could do something ‘proper’.”

Lu Yan huffed and got off Shen Su. She walked to the door and, sure enough, there was steaming hot food waiting. She crouched down, brought the food in, and set it on the nightstand. Then she placed the small bed-table over the mattress and arranged the meal.

“Fine, let’s eat first,” Lu Yan pouted.

Shen Su found Lu Yan’s behavior incredibly adorable and said with a laugh, “A person can’t go without eating! Besides, our Yan Yan has worked so hard these past few days, how could I let you go hungry?”

“Fine, I forgive you.” Lu Yan was indeed quite hungry. If it weren’t for Shen Su’s foot injury, she would have sat directly on Shen Su’s lap to eat. As it was, she could only sit by the side of the small table, holding her bowl and eating with Shen Su.

“Sister, your birthday is coming up. What do you want?” Lu Yan asked earnestly.

“I’ll have to think about that…” Shen Su mused that she likely wouldn’t be around to receive Lu Yan’s gift, so she gave a vague answer. “It’s still early, let me think.”

“Okay! Sister has a long time to think. I’ll come to Germany to see you then…” Lu Yan said with a smile.

Shen Su had already finalized her plan to “exit” on her birthday, so she said, “I should be the one to come to you. I want to spend the first birthday we share in the country.”

“Yay!” Lu Yan also preferred staying in the country, because that was where her memories with Shen Su were. But it didn’t matter; she would make many beautiful memories with Shen Su here as well.

After they finished eating, Lu Yan put the dishes back outside the door and then got a towel from the bathroom to wipe Shen Su’s mouth. Her movements were gentle, as if she were polishing a priceless treasure.

“Actually, I think I can walk. The wound wasn’t deep, otherwise I would have had to go to the hospital,” Shen Su added quietly after Lu Yan finished.

“No! What if the wound starts bleeding again?” After putting the towel back, Lu Yan returned to Shen Su’s side and pouted. “Sister, bleeding is no small matter, you have to be careful…”

“If it were that easy to bleed, given how much we…” Shen Su paused, an eyebrow arching. “Given how much we’ve exerted ourselves, wouldn’t there have been a river of blood by now?”

“Sister has worked hard! Yan Yan will massage your legs!” Lu Yan’s face turned red. She sat cross-legged beside Shen Su, her massaging strength just right and very comfortable.

Shen Su reached out to pinch Lu Yan’s cheek, teasing, “Why are you still blushing at this point?”

“Am I not allowed to?” Lu Yan put her hands on her hips and huffed.

Shen Su leaned in and kissed her cheek. “Of course you are. Our Yan Yan can do whatever she wants.”

“Then I want to taste this…” Lu Yan lightly poked Shen Su’s lips, feigning innocence. “It should be very sweet, right?”

“Are you sure you don’t want to rest a bit longer?” Shen Su licked Lu Yan’s fingertip, a hint of a smile in her eyes.

Lu Yan let out a small cry, her face turning even redder as she hurriedly withdrew her hand. “Clearly Sister is seducing me, I’m being forced!”

“Forced, are you?” Shen Su performed a tactical lean-back, lying comfortably on the bed. “Then let’s rest a bit more.”

Lu Yan pouted and leaned over her, hands propped on either side of the pillow. “What, Sister can’t handle it?”

Shen Su said through gritted teeth, “I can. Of course I can.”

How could an Alpha not handle it?

With that, she seized both of Lu Yan’s hands, pinned them above her head, and pressed her down. Lu Yan loved this move; her eyes sparkled with excitement. Shen Su didn’t notice the look; she gazed at Lu Yan’s parting lips and kissed her as she always did.

By the seventh day, Shen Su got out of bed high-spirited, her foot injury basically healed. She looked back at Lu Yan, and a sting of pain flashed through her eyes. Lu Yan was still immersed in the seven days of pleasure, wearing a sweet smile even in her sleep.

Shen Su made breakfast, and when she returned, Lu Yan happened to open her eyes.

“Time for breakfast!” Shen Su put on a smile and set the small table on the bed.

After eating, Lu Yan glanced at Shen Su’s foot in her slippers. The bandage was gone. She asked with concern, “Is Sister’s foot completely healed?”

Shen Su lifted her foot and hummed. “Pretty much.” At least it didn’t hurt anymore.

Lu Yan held out her arms and lifted her chin. “Then carry me to the bathroom, I want to take a shower.”

“Okay.” Shen Su moved the small table first and then picked her up in a princess carry. After taking her to the bathroom, she carefully placed Lu Yan on the sink counter and asked warmly, “Can you wash yourself? Do you need help?”

Lu Yan thought about it and said, “I should be fine.”

“Then I’ll tidy up outside.”

After seven days of passion, the room was quite a mess.

“Okay.”

Shen Su closed the door as she left the bathroom and did some simple tidying. She sat on the edge of the bed and picked up her phone. Just then, a text arrived. It was a reminder for her scheduled surgery. She scanned it twice, memorized the important details, and then deleted the message.

The surgery was in three days.

Shen Su looked at the bathroom door. Perhaps this was the last time she would see the real Lu Yan. Even though the door was opaque, she stared at it for a long time until Lu Yan came out.

As soon as Lu Yan stepped out, she met Shen Su’s steady gaze. Her smile widened. “Sister has waited a long time! I smell very nice now, do you want to take a sniff?”

Shen Su walked to her side and pinched her cheek with a smile. “I’m afraid if I take a sniff, you won’t be able to leave this room.”

“Yay!” Lu Yan was even more excited. “Let’s just stay here forever, how about it?”

Shen Su’s eyelid flickered. “What about your Lu Group? And your studies? You don’t want them anymore?”

Lu Yan blinked and reined in her smile. “Fine, I suppose I still need those.”

Shen Su took Lu Yan’s hand. “Let’s go, I’ll take you to the airport. You’ve delayed so many days here with me…”

“How can you call it a delay?” Lu Yan shook her head. “Sister is my most important person. If anything is a delay, it’s work and studies delaying us!”

Shen Su was already used to this and simply said, “Let’s go.”

“Okay.”

After taking Lu Yan to the airport, Shen Su gave her a fierce embrace before she left. “After you go back, take good care of yourself. Remember to eat on time. If you run into any trouble, message me or ask the people around you.”

“I know, Sister! You take good care of yourself too!” Lu Yan kissed Shen Su’s cheek. “Goodbye, Sister.”

“Goodbye.”

Shen Su watched Lu Yan’s receding back, thinking to herself that they might never see each other again. Suddenly, her phone vibrated. She looked down and saw a message from Lu Yan, causing her lips to curl upward.

“Sister, stop watching, go back quickly!”

She could almost imagine Lu Yan sending that with a face full of smiles. Lu Yan didn’t know this was their final meeting, so she was full of anticipation for the next time. But Shen Su knew, so she wanted to look for a moment longer. Until she truly could no longer see her, her gaze dimmed, and she turned to leave.
