After Transmigrating as a Scum Omega, I Had a Happy Ending with My Ex-Wife [Entertainment Circle] - Chapter 11
The scoring for this round was incredibly difficult. Whether it was Fu Yiwen’s rap or Su Hua’s creative dance, both were hard to choose between.
The set was silent, and the viewers in front of their screens held their breath.
【Ahhh! So exciting! Who’s going to Class A in the end?】
【I’m leaning toward Fu Yiwen right now, both for her rap and her popularity.】
【I think Su Hua is great; she can both sing and dance.】
【But don’t forget, Su Hua’s character is terrible.】
The bullet-chat was a mix of everything, but it didn’t affect the scoring on-site. The camera gave the mentors a close-up, allowing the audience to hear their discussion.
Tan Xue: “Su Hua is impressive, but what if Class A has no rapper?”
Cui Manxuan: “This is just a preliminary placement. The most important thing is comprehensive ability.”
Xu Xiyi: “Su Hua’s vocal skills are excellent.” He looked at Jiao Kai.
Jiao Kai added: “Her dancing is good, too.”
Xu Xiyi: “Fu Yiwen’s rap is great.” He looked at Jiao Kai again.
Jiao Kai: “…Her dancing is okay, too?”
At this point, the mentors realized they hadn’t seen Fu Yiwen dance yet.
Cui Manxuan: “Fu Yiwen, can you show us a short dance routine?”
Fu Yiwen nodded without a word and performed a street dance routine on the spot. After watching, the mentors nodded, especially Jiao Kai.
This put them in a bind again. If Fu Yiwen couldn’t dance, they could have voted her into Class B, but now even that justification was gone.
Fu Mo spoke up: “Why don’t we let the trainees on-site vote?”
Everyone: “…?”
【I bet a ton of people will vote for Fu Yiwen.】
【Inevitably! A vote like this isn’t exactly fair.】
【With Su Hua’s reputation, how many people would actually vote for her?】
【Ahhh, little darling Kexin, please don’t be bewitched by Su Hua!】
In the end, as expected, Fu Yiwen received the most votes, while Su Hua received the fewest. However, even though Su Hua’s count was low, the number of people who did vote for her surprised many.
Besides the obvious choice, Lou Kexin, there were a few other girls. Zhu Xingxing from Haoyi Media was among them.
【Wasn’t Zhu Xingxing the girl sitting next to Su Hua? I thought she started ignoring her later?】
【You don’t understand the heart of a “Little Beauty O.”】
【Wen Yutong actually chose her too?】
【Holy shit, Su Hua might have lost this round, but she also won.】
【Yeah, who would have thought that many people would choose her?】
Su Hua only had about a dozen people on her side, which couldn’t compare to the dozens supporting Fu Yiwen. But given her current public reputation, the fact that anyone chose her at all was a huge risk—one wrong move, and those girls’ fans could abandon them because of the association.
Jiao Kai, never one to miss a chance for drama, asked: “Wen Yutong, can you tell us why you chose Su Hua?”
【Holy shit, Jiao Kai is at it again. I love this little drama-starter.】
【Wen Yutong and Han Sixi are always together; this is the first time I’ve seen them separated and on opposite sides. Exciting!】
Wen Yutong replied: “I want to learn Chinese classical dance from Su Hua.”
The mentors laughed. Jiao Kai said: “So you’re looking for a teacher? I know how to dance too, you can come to me.”
Wen Yutong smiled: “There are too many people wanting to be Teacher Jiao Kai’s student, but Su Hua has none.”
This answer made everyone laugh again. Su Hua glanced at the girl; she had to admit, it was a textbook-perfect answer that offended no one.
Jiao Kai then turned his gaze toward Zhu Xingxing, who jumped in fright. Cui Manxuan finally had to intervene: “Jiao Kai, that’s enough. It’s fine to stir up trouble on Weibo, but don’t scare our trainees here.”
Fu Mo picked up the microphone: “Fu Yiwen, 83 votes. Su Hua, 15 votes.” She looked up at the two of them. “Fu Yiwen, Class A. Su Hua, Class B.”
Su Hua: “Thank you, Teacher Fu.”
After the initial evaluation, the show’s first task was announced.
Fu Mo: “The first task: filming the theme song and the Dreamy Youth MV.”
The trainees’ eyes lit up. An MV was a rare opportunity.
Fu Mo continued: “You only have 3 days to learn the theme song and the choreography. In three days, we will re-evaluate you and re-assign classes. The results of that evaluation will determine your positions on the theme song stage.”
The excitement turned to wails of despair, then quickly into looks of determination.
Next, the trainees pushed their suitcases toward the dormitories. For the next three months, they would be living here—no phones, no leaving. As Su Hua left the stage, she looked back at Fu Mo chatting with the mentors, then turned and walked away.
Su Hua was in Class B. She followed the line with her luggage. Lou Kexin had wanted to find her, but she was pulled away by her teammates. Thinking about her F grade, she felt too ashamed to face “Sister Su Hua” and walked away with her head down.
Because of her performance, the surrounding trainees no longer avoided Su Hua, but they weren’t close either—maintaining a polite, distant gap.
Dormitories were assigned by class, five people to a room. Su Hua arrived at her room: Class B Room 1. Her name was first on the list.
“Our dorm is here!” a voice chirped behind her. Su Hua was bumped from behind; she frowned and stepped aside. It was Li Han, who didn’t say a word, just pushed her two suitcases inside. The other two girls followed, only giving Su Hua a brief glance.
Inside, a cameraman was filming. The three girls who entered first were already loudly praising the dorm and chatting, intentionally moving in front of the lens to get more screen time. There were five beds—two bunks and three singles. The three singles were snapped up by Li Han’s group. Su Hua chose a top bunk near the window and began unpacking.
While the others were flitting about and sociallizing, Su Hua had already neatly hung her clothes in the wardrobe and tucked her suitcase into the luggage corner. Finding it hard to join their conversation, she stepped out.
【Su Hua is so anti-social; she doesn’t even join the chat.】
【Yeah, what’s with the “Ice Queen” act?】
【Where is she going? Why isn’t she staying in the dorm?】
Viewers soon saw her at Class F Room 3.
“Kexin,” Su Hua called out as she knocked and entered.
Lou Kexin, who was chatting with her roommates, jumped up and rushed over. She almost hugged Su Hua but stopped herself, remembering something. The other roommates stood up, looking at each other in silence. Sensing the awkwardness, Lou Kexin took Su Hua’s hand and led her outside.
“What is she doing here?”
“Looking for Lou Kexin, obviously. She was the only one who welcomed her.”
Kexin led her to a quiet corner, let go of her hand, and kicked the ground dejectedly. “Sister Su Hua, I got an F.”
Knowing what she was thinking, Su Hua smiled and rubbed her head. “This is just the first assessment. There’s still a chance to move up.”
“But I… I’m afraid I won’t practice well,” Kexin whispered.
Su Hua said: “I’m here. I’ll help you.”
Kexin looked up, her eyes red but bright, and a smile broke out. “Really?”
“Of course.” Su Hua pinched her nose. “Now, no more crying, or your roommates will laugh at you.”
“They won’t!” Kexin lunged forward and hugged her tightly. “Thank you, Sister Su Hua.”
Su Hua helped Kexin pack for about half an hour. It was already 2:00 AM.
“Alright, once you’re done, go wash up and sleep. I’m heading back,” Su Hua said.
“Mhm. Thank you, Sister Su Hua.”
Su Hua lightly patted her head and opened the door to leave. Then she remembered something and turned to Kexin and the other girls in the room: “Based on previous seasons, there’s a chance a camerawoman will come to film everyone waking up tomorrow morning.” She looked at Kexin and whispered: “I’ll come wake you up tomorrow morning.”
Kexin nodded. After the door closed, the other roommates crowded around her.
“What…” one girl asked sheepishly, “What did she whisper to you?”
They thought Su Hua was passing on secret tips.
Kexin replied honestly: “Sister Su Hua said she’d come find me tomorrow morning.”
The girls nodded but stayed close. Finally, one couldn’t hold back her curiosity: “Kexin, can you tell us… why do you like Su… Su Hua so much?”
Not just the girls in the dorm, but likely every girl in the building—and the audience at home—was leaning in to hear the answer.
