After Transmigrating as a Scum Omega, I Had a Happy Ending with My Ex-Wife [Entertainment Circle] - Chapter 12
Lou Kexin lowered her eyelids. Remembering the repeated advice and instructions Sister Su Hua had given her back on the movie set, she looked at her roommates’ curious gazes, smiled, and shook her head.
Lou Kexin was still too young; she couldn’t hide her expressions. Everyone saw her conflicted, thoughtful look, and their curiosity piqued instantly.
【Could Lou Kexin have been threatened by Su Hua?】
【The little darling’s smile toward Su Hua is completely sincere, it doesn’t look like a threat at all.】
【Then, maybe there’s some secret context Su Hua won’t let her talk about?】
【That seems quite possible.】
【I’m starting to get curious about this Su Hua. I feel like she’s a bit mysterious.】
【Me too. Looking at all those black materials online, I thought she was just that kind of person, but now it feels different.】
【Exactly. They said she’s tone-deaf and uncoordinated, but the woman can sing and dance perfectly. How can someone be blacklisted this badly with that talent? I’m starting to wonder if she offended someone powerful.】
【That’s unlikely. Behind Su Hua is the Su family. Who would dare offend them?】
【True.】
When Su Hua returned to the dormitory, her roommates were unpacking. They had brought so much stuff that the entire floor was covered. By this time, the cameramen had already left, so the girls stopped pretending and just acted naturally.
Su Hua didn’t notice when she pushed the door open, and a suitcase placed behind the door fell over. Fortunately, it was empty. She knelt down to pick it up.
“Don’t touch it, move!” She was bumped by a girl rushing over. Her back hit the door handle, and she winced in pain.
She didn’t make a scene, though. She just rubbed her back, avoided the clutter on the floor, and headed to the bathroom with her toiletries.
After washing up, she saw they still hadn’t finished organizing; they were giggling and messing around. Su Hua put her things away, climbed to her top bunk near the door, shook out the quilt, and lay down.
The other girls in the room glanced at her occasionally, but ultimately ignored her and continued their conversation.
The last girl in the dorm was Yuan Shiyue. She wasn’t close to the others; since entering, she felt they were subtly excluding her. She felt awkward. When she saw Su Hua return, she originally wanted to speak to her, but remembering she had voted for Fu Yiwen as Class A earlier, she lost her nerve.
After washing up, she also lay in bed. She was the last to arrive, so the only spot left was the top bunk by the window. She was actually a bit afraid of heights, but she didn’t dare ask the three girls below to swap. She could only grit her teeth and lie there.
The room was noisy, making it hard to sleep. She opened her eyes to look at Su Hua in the opposite top bunk. Su Hua hadn’t moved since she lay down; her expression was soft, appearing already asleep.
Yuan Shiyue was curious. Isn’t she bothered by the noise? How can she sleep in such a loud environment?
She didn’t know that for Su Hua, she had slept in much noisier places with far worse conditions. Back when her filming schedules were tight, she’d only get three or four hours of sleep a day. Exhausted from high physical activity, she would often just sleep in the lounge in her clothes, having no time to return to a hotel.
So, a reasonably soft bed was already a luxury to her.
Her long-standing biological clock woke Su Hua up at 5:30 AM.
She got up. The entire dormitory floor was silent. She moved quietly, washed up, and headed out. Yuan Shiyue heard a movement and peeked out blearily, but being too tired, she didn’t care and rolled over to continue sleeping.
Because the show was being livestreamed, there were still viewers in the chat rooms. Seeing a figure appear in the quiet corridor, everyone became curious.
【Who’s this, getting up so early?】
【Looks like Su Hua?】
【What’s she doing up this early?】
【No idea.】
Those still in the livestream were either night owls or white-collar workers working overtime. People were busy with their own tasks, only glancing at the screen occasionally.
Since the trainees were asleep and there were no cameras inside the bedrooms (only in hallways and public areas), the viewers had been bored. Seeing Su Hua wake up so early stunned them.
Without a phone, Su Hua had to go to Lou Kexin’s dorm to find her. She knocked softly. No response. She knocked twice more, and finally, a girl’s voice came from inside.
“Who is it?” The voice was lazy, clearly still dreaming.
“It’s me, Su Hua.”
When the girl heard it was Su Hua, she rubbed her sleepy eyes and got out of bed to open the door. Su Hua looked apologetic. “Sorry to disturb your sleep. I’m looking for Lou Kexin.”
The girl stepped aside. “Come in first.”
“Thanks.”
The dorm was dark with the curtains drawn. Su Hua used the light from the hallway to see the beds. She walked to the window-side bottom bunk; Kexin had mentioned yesterday that this was her bed.
Su Hua squeezed Lou Kexin’s face and called her softly. Kexin thought she was dreaming.
“Wake up. We’re going downstairs to run.”
“Huh?” Kexin was dazed. “But I’m so sleepy…”
“You won’t be sleepy once you start running.”
Because of her immense fondness for Su Hua, Kexin dragged herself up despite the exhaustion, got dressed, washed up, and followed her out.
The girl who had opened the door for Su Hua was now awake too. She whispered to the others: “Sisters, wake up fast!”
“What’s wrong?” a girl on a top bunk asked.
“Let’s go down and run too,” the girl suggested.
“No way, I’m too tired. Just seal me to this bed,” the girl replied, rolling over. The other two didn’t even react.
Seeing they wouldn’t get up, the girl hesitated for a moment and then lay back down as well. If the camerawomen really came to the dorms to film, they would be the first ones in the shot. If they went running and missed the camera time, it would be a huge loss.
Lou Kexin had thought of this too. As she ran behind Su Hua, she asked her about it.
Su Hua said: “I gave you that tip so you could be prepared and not appear on camera looking like a mess. But if you sacrifice your hard work just for camera time, you’re putting the cart before the horse.”
Lou Kexin’s eyes lit up, enlightened by the words. “Right! We came to this show to work hard for that stage. Everything else might move the fans for a moment, but without good results, it’s useless. If I don’t debut, I won’t have exposure anyway.”
Seeing her catch on so quickly, Su Hua rubbed her hair. “Not too stupid.”
Lou Kexin wrinkled her nose. “I’m actually very smart, Sister Su Hua. Don’t look down on me!”
Su Hua chuckled. “Alright.”
At the same time, the camera crew began their move. Staff members knocked on doors to remind the girls to get dressed before the camerawomen entered to film.
Because of Su Hua’s tip, the girls in Lou Kexin’s dorm had slept in their clothes or prepared everything beforehand. When the camerawoman entered, they all looked energetic and well-rested—much better than the girls in the previous dorms—earning them a lot of praise from the viewers.
【Wait, where’s Lou Kexin?】 (A viewer just joining)
【She went out with Su Hua. No idea where.】 (A viewer who had been camping in the stream)
