After Transmigrating as a Scum Omega, I Had a Happy Ending with My Ex-Wife [Entertainment Circle] - Chapter 15
Su Hua walked over with her tray and asked, “Teacher Fu, may we sit here?”
Fu Mo gave a simple “Mhm.” Her expression remained unchanged; she didn’t show any sign of distress or discomfort despite the fact that the person in front of her was the ex-wife who had supposedly cheated on her.
“Thank you, Teacher Fu.” Su Hua sat down opposite her with a smile, then beckoned to Lou Kexin, who was still frozen in place. “Hurry up and come over.”
Lou Kexin hesitated for a long time before finally shuffling over. For some reason, she was terrified of Fu Mo; it was like seeing her headmaster back in school.
The other trainee girls didn’t dare approach either.
Film Queen Fu always had a stoic face and looked very stern. She was far too upright and rigid—not humorous or witty at all. If you tried to chat with her, she was likely to kill the conversation in two sentences.
Su Hua glanced at Fu Mo’s tray and asked, “Does Teacher Fu usually have lunch here as well?”
Fu Mo finished the food in her mouth before replying, “Mhm.”
Just an “Mhm” and that’s it? No follow-up?
Su Hua stared at her, and Fu Mo stared back. Su Hua blinked as a prompt, but the latter merely frowned, clearly having no idea what she was trying to do.
Lou Kexin, watching from the side, was scared to death. She tugged at Su Hua’s sleeve and whispered, “Sister Su Hua, what are you doing? This is Film Queen Fu, not one of those influencers you take photos with.”
Talking about things that shouldn’t be mentioned—Su Hua’s eye twitched. She looked at Kexin with a mix of helplessness and amusement. “Kexin, dear, you can eat whatever you want, but you shouldn’t say whatever you want.”
Lou Kexin was dazed. “Huh?”
Su Hua looked at Kexin’s tray. “Just focus on your food.”
“Oh.” Lou Kexin obediently went back to eating.
Su Hua looked at Fu Mo again. The latter had her eyes lowered, eating seriously. Whether it was picking up a side dish or a grain of rice, her movements were ridiculously precise. This scene would be a treat for someone with OCD; it was incredibly therapeutic to watch.
Su Hua cleared her throat to get the attention of the person opposite her. “Teacher Fu, I hadn’t finished my question just now.”
Fu Mo looked at her without speaking, waiting for her to continue.
How is this person as stiff as a little spinning top? You have to give her a nudge before she moves.
Su Hua’s eyes darted around, a smirk appearing on her face. She leaned forward to tease her. “Teacher Fu, has anyone ever told you that you’re like a little spinning top?”
Fu Mo frowned, her eyes filled with confusion.
She probably thought Su Hua was going to ask something important, only to be met with a joke.
Lou Kexin, overhearing this, was so startled she choked on her rice. She coughed for a long time, her face turning red, while still managing to peek at the Film Queen, terrified she might be angry.
But no—Fu Mo’s face was calm, though her brow was slightly furrowed as if she were contemplating something.
“Su… Sister Su Hua, there’s an empty spot over there. Let’s go eat there.” Lou Kexin was terrified, her voice stuttering. Fearing Su Hua might pull another stunt, she tried to pull her away without further discussion.
Seeing that the little girl was truly frightened, Su Hua picked up her tray. Before leaving, she said, “Teacher Fu, we’ll head over there to finish our meal then.”
Fu Mo gave another “Mhm” without much reaction.
As they sat down at the empty table, Lou Kexin said urgently, “Sister Su Hua, how could you speak to Film Queen Fu like that? Weren’t you afraid…?”
“Afraid of what?” Su Hua arched an eyebrow at her, a smile lingering on her lips. There wasn’t a trace of fear in her expression.
Lou Kexin looked over at the Film Queen. The latter was just as she had been before, sitting perfectly upright and eating in a slow, methodical manner, completely unaffected by the two of them.
Thinking about Fu Mo’s character, Kexin’s heart finally settled back into her chest.
“You didn’t finish your sentence,” Su Hua pressed.
Lou Kexin shook her head. “I was just scared out of my mind and talking nonsense. But even if the Film Queen is a decent person, you shouldn’t joke with her. Film Queen Fu never jokes.”
Su Hua’s curiosity was piqued. She looked over in that direction, the corners of her mouth curving up. She thought to herself: What kind of little square is this? She doesn’t even know how to take a joke.
Thinking of this, she recalled the confused look in Fu Mo’s eyes earlier. Realizing something, she let out a “pfft” and laughed.
“Sister Su Hua, what are you laughing at?” Lou Kexin looked at her, completely bewildered by the sudden laughter.
“Nothing.” Su Hua shook her head.
That confused look might not have been because of the teasing itself, but because Fu Mo might not have understood the “little spinning top” reference.
Recalling the expression the other woman wore while thinking for a while, Su Hua became even more certain of her guess.
Since she had no other schedules recently, Fu Mo was also staying in the girls’ dormitory, though her room was on a separate floor from the trainees.
The other mentors also had a dormitory area where they could rest when they were tired.
As Fu Mo was going upstairs, she happened to run into Cui Manxuan coming down. When she reached her, she paused, her brow furrowed in hesitation.
“Teacher Fu, is something the matter?” Cui Manxuan noticed the expression on her face and stopped.
Fu Mo asked, “What is a ‘little spinning top’?” Thinking that was too simple, she added a few more words: “What does it mean to describe a person as being like a ‘little spinning top’?”
Cui Manxuan’s first reaction was surprise, followed by curiosity. Her voice was laced with a smile. “Did someone say you were like a little spinning top?”
Fu Mo pursed her lips.
Cui Manxuan burst out laughing. Facing the woman’s serious expression, she cleared her throat and straightened her face a bit to explain: “It can mean a lot of things, but if it’s used on you… it means you’re stiff and old-fashioned. You only move once when someone nudges you, and if they don’t nudge…”
“Thank you.” Before she could finish, Fu Mo turned and went upstairs.
Cui Manxuan stood in the stairwell, stifling her laughter. Then she became curious: who on earth had the guts to tease the Film Queen like that? If she found the person, she’d have to give them a thorough compliment. The description was absolutely perfect.
Su Hua knew nothing of this. After finishing their meal, she and Lou Kexin headed to the practice rooms.
All the practice rooms were occupied. Since they weren’t in the same class, it wasn’t easy for them to jump between the assigned rooms, so Su Hua eventually found a small, unoccupied solo practice room.
The room wasn’t large, but it was perfect for the two of them.
“Sister Su Hua, this looks like Teacher Jiao Kai’s private practice room,” Lou Kexin said, pointing at the sign on the door.
Su Hua looked; it was indeed his. That made it awkward to enter.
“Let’s go ask Teacher Jiao Kai if we can borrow it,” Su Hua suggested.
Lou Kexin hesitated. “I-is that a good idea? I heard Teacher Jiao Kai doesn’t like people entering his private room. He even lost his temper over it once.”
Su Hua frowned. That made things difficult.
“What are you two doing here?” A voice came from behind—mature and magnetic, the kind that could make your ears feel “pregnant.”
It was someone they had just seen in the cafeteria.
Su Hua turned around and greeted her with a smile: “Hello, Teacher Fu.”
Lou Kexin followed suit: “Hello, Teacher Fu.”
“Mhm.” Fu Mo looked at them, then at the private practice room. Seeming to guess their situation, she took the lead and walked ahead. “Follow me.”
“Eh?” Lou Kexin blinked in confusion.
Su Hua, however, grabbed her hand and followed quickly, a smile on her face. “Teacher Fu should be able to help us.”
Hearing this, Lou Kexin’s eyes lit up.
Fu Mo had her own practice room as well, though compared to Jiao Kai and the others, hers was used for yoga. She opened the door and said, “You can use mine.”
“Thank you, Teacher Fu!” Su Hua and Lou Kexin said in unison.
“Mhm.” Fu Mo gave a nod, said nothing more, and turned to leave.
Su Hua watched her departing figure, rubbing her chin as she pondered something.
“Sister Su Hua, what are you looking at?” Lou Kexin walked over, then peered around curiously. “Where’s Teacher Fu?”
“She left.” Su Hua withdrew her gaze and said, “Let’s start practicing.”
“Oh.”
Before closing the door, Su Hua was still thinking: The Film Queen didn’t even hold a grudge and actually gave up her practice room for us?
This Teacher Fu really is a class act!
