After Transmigrating as a Scum Omega, I Had a Happy Ending with My Ex-Wife [Entertainment Circle] - Chapter 17
Su Hua had come over to the table to ask about the status of Fu Mo’s private practice room.
“Teacher Fu, can we still use that studio tonight?” Su Hua inquired.
Fu Mo nodded. “Use it.”
“Thank you, Teacher Fu.” Su Hua smiled. “Then I won’t disturb your meal. Goodbye, Teacher Fu, Teacher Manxuan.” Having said her piece, she hurried away.
Cui Manxuan was bewildered. “What’s the story here?”
Fu Mo gave her a brief explanation.
“Oh,” Cui Manxuan uttered, not giving it much thought. After all, things like this happened all the time.
However, while she didn’t care, others cared very much.
When Su Hua and Lou Kexin entered Fu Mo’s private practice room, Lin Xiaohan just happened to see them.
Su Hua was leading Lou Kexin through the breakdown movements for the second time when the door was pushed open from the outside. A crowd of people swarmed in, instantly filling the small private studio.
It was a group of fellow trainees; judging by the colors of their uniforms, trainees from several different classes had arrived.
“Su Hua, Lou Kexin, how dare you enter Teacher Fu’s private practice room without permission!”
“You guys are way too bold.”
“You’re divorced from Film Queen Fu now. Do you think you still have some kind of special connection with her?”
“You cheated during the marriage, and now that you’re divorced, you have the nerve to come to Teacher Fu’s private room. You are truly shameless.”
“When has she ever had any shame?”
Everyone chimed in one after another. Every time Lou Kexin opened her mouth to argue, she was drowned out by their accusations.
“Are you done yet?” Su Hua spotted several familiar faces in the crowd: Han Sixi, Wen Yutong, and Zhu Xingxing. Among them, she also saw Lin Xiaohan, who was standing toward the back of the group.
“We’ve already sent someone to get Teacher Fu. Just you wait to be kicked out of the show.”
“Using a mentor’s private studio without authorization—you really have some nerve.”
Li Han, standing in the crowd, said nothing. Her gaze flickered between Su Hua and Lou Kexin. Their clothes were soaked with sweat; it was obvious they had been practicing for a long time.
Soon, Fu Mo arrived. Not only Fu Mo, but Teacher Cui Manxuan had come along as well. The crowd immediately parted to make a path.
They saw Su Hua and Lou Kexin surrounded in the center; Lou Kexin, in particular, was hiding fearfully behind Su Hua.
Cui Manxuan looked at the scene, frowned, and asked, “What are you all doing crowding around here? Are you not training? Or are you saying you’ve already finished your practice?”
“Teacher Manxuan.” A girl stepped out from the crowd. She was a trainee from the same company as Su Hua—the same girl who had previously taken a photo to frame her.
The girl had been nursing a grudge ever since she was punished by the company. Now that she had finally caught Su Hua in a “trap,” there was no way she was letting go.
“Su Hua used Teacher Fu’s private practice room without her consent,” the girl said, pointing at Su Hua.
Su Hua brushed the girl’s hand away with the back of her own, a smile playing on her lips. “Little sister, why are you framing me again?”
The word “again” naturally alluded to the previous incident with the fake photo.
“Who’s framing you?” the girl glared. “Everyone knows exactly what kind of person you are.”
Fu Mo frowned slightly. “I gave them permission to use the practice room.”
Cui Manxuan was still waiting for the drama to unfold, but she didn’t expect Fu Mo to speak up so directly. She clicked her tongue inwardly; this upright person, couldn’t she have waited a bit longer and let me watch the show for a while?
She spoke up to support her: “I know about this too. I was there at the time.”
Among the trainees who had packed the room to the rafters, most lowered their heads uncomfortably. A few looked at Fu Mo and Cui Manxuan in shock, wondering if they had just hallucinated.
“Is there anything else you want to know?” Cui Manxuan asked. “If not, go back. I’ll see how your practice results are in three days.”
At those words, the trainees shoved and pushed their way out. A few left slowly at the very end, including Lin Xiaohan and Li Han.
Lin Xiaohan felt a sense of injustice and resentment. Su Hua has acted out so much; why is Film Queen Fu still favoring her?
Li Han was a mix of awkwardness, envy, and jealousy. Her envy was naturally directed at Lou Kexin—Su Hua was actually giving her one-on-one lessons. Hmph.
Finally, only the four of them remained in the room.
“Teacher Fu, Teacher Manxuan, thank you for just now,” Su Hua said.
Lou Kexin edged out from behind Su Hua, sounding small and aggrieved. “They swarmed in and just started pointing at Sister Su Hua and cursing.”
Cui Manxuan laughed. “They were cursing Su Hua, not you. Why are you the one feeling aggrieved?”
“They wronged Sister Su Hua. It makes my heart ache for her,” Lou Kexin said, clutching Su Hua’s arm.
Cui Manxuan stared at her. Kexin’s eyes met hers for a second before she hurriedly looked away, feeling both scared and shy. She wondered why Teacher Manxuan was staring at her so intently.
Fu Mo said, “Now that they all know, they shouldn’t bother you again.”
“Mhm,” Su Hua nodded.
“Let’s go,” Fu Mo said to Cui Manxuan.
“Alright.” Cui Manxuan withdrew her gaze and said to the two trainees, “Practice hard. Don’t waste the private room Teacher Fu lent you.”
“Yes, ma’am!”
As the door was closed, Lou Kexin relaxed completely. She then puffed out her cheeks and frowned in dissatisfaction. “Sister Su Hua, aren’t you angry? How can these people be like this—cursing before they even know the facts? It’s so annoying.”
Su Hua smiled. “The competition began the moment we entered this building. No one wants to be outdone, especially regarding a privilege like using a mentor’s private room.”
“But it still shouldn’t be like that.” Lou Kexin hadn’t been in the entertainment industry long. Aside from two minor roles in TV dramas, this show was her biggest exposure. Even though she had experienced “that” incident on her last set, she still wanted to believe there were clean places in show business—like the only person she truly knew, Sister Su Hua.
She had thought the trainees here would be pure of heart, but the scene just now made her feel suffocated.
Just a moment ago, she had been hiding behind Su Hua, who took the brunt of all that pressure. Su Hua hadn’t just been unfazed; she had been composed.
Thinking of this, Lou Kexin’s eyes lit up with sheer admiration. “Sister Su Hua, your aura was so strong just now! I feel like even without Teacher Fu and Teacher Manxuan, you could have made those people back down.”
Su Hua chuckled and flicked her forehead with a finger. “Do you have some kind of misunderstanding about me?”
“No way!” Lou Kexin rubbed her forehead in mock pain. “I just felt like you could handle that situation, just like back on the set.”
“Alright, let’s get back to practice.” Fearing Kexin would dig up more stories from that production, Su Hua quickly changed the subject.
There were cameras in the mentors’ private rooms as well, though they were rarely turned on. When the production team saw Su Hua and Lou Kexin practicing alone, they switched them on.
As a result, the scene that just occurred had been broadcast live in its entirety.
By now, the bullet-chat section had completely exploded.
