Foreseeing the Future: The Scheming Film Queen and I Got Married - Chapter 10
The top button of the white shirt came undone with a pop.
The button fell to the ground, rolling forward a few times before finally stopping.
Gu Shiqiu’s shirt was half-open, revealing snow-white skin and her straight collarbones.
“What are you doing?” Gu Shiqiu was startled and hurriedly grabbed Dong Yao’s hands as they pawed at her clothes.
“Taking off your clothes,” Dong Yao said openly. “I already apologized to you just now. Let go. I still haven’t seen yet.”
Gu Shiqiu was speechless. Did apologizing mean you could strip someone’s clothes off?
Clearly, there was no point reasoning with such a little drunkard.
As they struggled, Dong Yao’s hands were firmly restrained by Gu Shiqiu the whole time, leaving her unable to pull open Gu Shiqiu’s clothes. In her frustration, she opened her mouth and bit down hard on the back of Gu Shiqiu’s hand.
“Hiss.”
Gu Shiqiu frowned from the pain.
“Let go,” Gu Shiqiu said, trying to pull her hand back. But the more she pulled, the harder the other woman bit.
For a moment, they were locked in a stalemate.
The people nearby also turned to look because of the commotion.
Gu Shiqiu pressed her lips together and lowered her voice. “Let go.”
Dong Yao did not listen at all and kept biting tightly.
Helpless, Gu Shiqiu softened her tone. “Be good. Let go. If you let go, I’ll let you see.”
Dong Yao blinked twice.
“Really. I’m not lying to you,” Gu Shiqiu said.
Dong Yao was half-convinced. In the end, she let go. Although she stopped biting, she still held Gu Shiqiu’s wrist, afraid that Gu Shiqiu would run away.
Gu Shiqiu did not know whether to laugh or cry. “Actually, you don’t need to pull open my clothes to look. I can tell you very clearly that I’m a woman.”
Gu Shiqiu never would have imagined that one day, she would have to explain her own gender.
The main point was, even after she explained it… Dong Yao still did not believe her.
“You’re lying. How could you be a woman? You’re definitely a man,” Dong Yao shouted.
Her voice was very loud, almost drawing the attention of all the passersby.
“Keep your voice down.”
“I won’t. You’re a man!”
Gu Shiqiu choked. Seeing more and more passersby looking over, she had no choice but to compromise. “All right, all right. I’m a man.”
Dong Yao smiled foolishly. “That’s more like it.”
Gu Shiqiu: “…”
“Then can you let go of my hand now?” Gu Shiqiu looked at the back of her hand, which had been bitten until blood marks appeared, as well as her wrist, which Dong Yao had squeezed red.
Dong Yao shook her head.
Gu Shiqiu: “…”
Lin Yunyi, who had gone to the pharmacy across the street to buy medicine for sobering up, came out and immediately saw a drunkard not far away grabbing someone and making a drunken scene.
Lin Yunyi hurriedly ran over and bent down to apologize to Gu Shiqiu. “I’m sorry. My friend drank too much. She almost never drinks, and her alcohol tolerance is especially bad. Once she drinks, her brain doesn’t work properly. Please don’t hold it against her.”
If one said Dong Yao was sober, she was doing something like stripping someone’s clothes in public. But if one said she was not sober, the moment someone scolded her, she immediately talked back.
“You’re the one whose brain doesn’t work properly.”
Lin Yunyi was too lazy to say more to her and reached out to pull Dong Yao over.
Dong Yao held tightly onto Gu Shiqiu’s wrist. Lin Yunyi tugged a few times but could not pull her away.
Helpless, Lin Yunyi raised her hand and, with a loud smack, slapped Dong Yao’s arm hard.
Instantly, a large red patch appeared on Dong Yao’s arm.
Dong Yao cried out in pain, tears welling in her eyes.
Gu Shiqiu’s brows furrowed slightly.
Dong Yao pouted, looking extremely pitiful, but the hand gripping Gu Shiqiu still did not loosen.
Lin Yunyi threatened her with her eyes. “Are you letting go or not?”
Dong Yao said, “I won’t.”
Lin Yunyi raised her hand again, about to slap Dong Yao’s arm once more. But just as she lifted her hand, a cold sensation came from her wrist.
She turned her head and saw that Gu Shiqiu had grabbed her wrist, stopping her movement.
“I think it’s better to talk to her properly. Don’t hit her,” Gu Shiqiu said.
Lin Yunyi froze for a moment. That voice was very familiar.
Looking closely at this masked woman, she did feel somewhat familiar, but there was no time to worry about that now. She had to deal with this crazy drunk first.
“Um, you may have misunderstood. My friend is a little special. In this kind of situation, reasoning with her is useless. You have to smack her a few times. If you don’t hurt her a little, she won’t let go,” Lin Yunyi explained.
Gu Shiqiu nodded, but she still stopped Lin Yunyi.
Gu Shiqiu said, “Let me talk to her.”
Lin Yunyi smiled awkwardly. “All right. If you think you can persuade her, go ahead.”
Lin Yunyi took a step back, but in her heart, she was certain Gu Shiqiu would not succeed. She knew Dong Yao’s drunken behavior far too well.
Her drinking manners were unbelievably awful!
Back in high school, Dong Yao had gotten curious and secretly drank once. The result, of course, was that she became dead drunk. At the time, she hugged the tree in the backyard and said it was a money tree. No matter what, she refused to let go, and reasoning with her was useless.
In the end, Lin Yunyi had to use brute force—meaning she hit her until it hurt—before Dong Yao finally let go.
The current situation was no different from that time in high school. It was just that instead of hugging a big tree, she was hugging the woman in front of her.
But since the victim did not want to use “violence,” Lin Yunyi could not say anything else. She could only let Gu Shiqiu try, even though this attempt would definitely end in failure.
Gu Shiqiu’s gaze landed on Dong Yao’s reddened arm. “Does it hurt?”
Dong Yao nodded.
“When it hurts, it feels awful, doesn’t it?” Gu Shiqiu asked again.
Dong Yao nodded again.
Gu Shiqiu sighed. “You bit me and grabbed me without letting go. I hurt a lot too.”
Dong Yao pursed her lips, her expression slightly wavering.
Gu Shiqiu hesitated for a moment, then reached out and touched her head. “All right, be good. I’m not blaming you. Let go, okay?”
Dong Yao pressed her lips together, unwilling. Gu Shiqiu patiently waited for her.
In the end, Dong Yao slowly loosened her grip and let go of Gu Shiqiu’s wrist.
Gu Shiqiu let out a breath of relief.
Lin Yunyi froze.
That worked???
Then what about back in high school, when Dong Yao got drunk and Lin Yunyi had coaxed her for half a day with no effect, only to end things by beating her up?
After all that, it was not that Dong Yao could not be coaxed—it depended on who was coaxing her.
Lin Yunyi was furious. Was she not even as good as a stranger?
So annoying!!!
But now was not the time to be angry. She still had to clean up this mess for Dong Yao.
“Is the wound on your hand okay? Why don’t I take you to the hospital to have it bandaged and disinfected?” The back of Gu Shiqiu’s hand had been bitten until the skin broke, and some blood had come out.
It was not serious, but it definitely could not be called nothing either.
Gu Shiqiu shook her head. “It’s fine. No need.”
As she spoke, a black car stopped beside them. A burly man in a black suit got out of the car.
The man respectfully nodded to Gu Shiqiu, then walked to the back seat, opened the door, and quietly waited for her to get in.
“I still have something to do, so I’ll leave first,” Gu Shiqiu said.
“Oh, okay. I’m really sorry about what happened just now.” Lin Yunyi apologized to Gu Shiqiu again.
Gu Shiqiu did not say anything. She only glanced at the person standing crookedly, looking silly and foolish, and said, “Don’t let her drink in the future.”
Lin Yunyi said, “Yes, yes, yes. Definitely, definitely.”
Lin Yunyi shot Dong Yao a sharp glare. If she dared drink again, Lin Yunyi would break her legs.
Gu Shiqiu bent down and got into the car. The man in the suit gently closed the car door.
The black car gradually drove away.
Lin Yunyi let out a long breath of relief.
Dong Yao giggled.
The moment Lin Yunyi heard her laugh, anger surged up again. She wanted nothing more than to punch her.
It had only taken the time to buy some medicine for sobering up—no more than two minutes before and after—and Dong Yao had managed to cause such a huge disaster.
Fortunately, that person had not held it against them.
“Sister Shiqiu, what happened to your hand?” Xiaowen’s eyes were sharp, and she immediately noticed the injury on Gu Shiqiu’s hand.
Gu Shiqiu looked at the teeth marks on her hand and smiled. “It’s nothing. I was just bitten by a naughty child.”
