Returning to the Villain Omega's High School Days - Chapter 29
Xie Ning held Su Wan’s hand and passed through the crowd, leaving the corridor and heading down the stairs.
A group of people were howling in the hallway. There was even some brainless idiot kneeling on the floor and singing, only to be ridden on the neck and pressed flat against the ground while everyone else laughed like mad. Some teachers came out with stiff lesson notes to scold them, only to be surrounded by a group of people shouting, “Yo, yo, check it out!” scaring the teacher so badly that he hurriedly locked himself in the office and called the police.
In the stairwell, a female teacher was being pestered by two male students. Just as she was panicking, Xie Ning walked over, took out a bottle of spray, and sprayed it fiercely at both of their mouths and noses.
“Ah—ah-choo!”
“Ah-choo!”
After inhaling the suppressants, the two boys came back to their senses. Once they realized what they had been doing, they felt ashamed and guilty, and quickly slipped away from Xie Ning’s sight.
The female teacher was Zhu Miao, who usually found Xie Ning unpleasant. She had been forced into the corner, her clothes disheveled, the hem of her miniskirt riding up to the top of her thighs. Seeing that Xie Ning had helped her out, she still looked a little disbelieving. Pulling down her skirt, her face pale with fright, she said, “Xie… Xie Ning?”
“Was that ‘thank you’?” Xie Ning said. “Next time, saying thank you will cost you.”
Zhu Miao’s face was deathly pale, and she fell silent. Watching Xie Ning lead a girl downstairs, she was still shaken and hurriedly followed them.
Downstairs on the grass, a group of people were carrying a fierce Alpha while dancing a coffin dance. After finishing, they carried that Alpha toward a tree and did something unspeakably crude and vulgar.
Xie Ning tightened her grip on Su Wan’s hand and lowered her head to look at her. “Are you scared?”
Su Wan swallowed. It was impossible to say she was not scared.
One second ago, she had still been in the classroom doing homework. When she looked up, everything had fallen into chaos. People were running around the campus like mad, and some were being chased and beaten. Even the teachers could not stop them.
Su Wan said, “I haven’t differentiated yet, so I can’t understand their behavior. They probably won’t provoke me either.”
Xie Ning said, “Even that old and ugly Beta behind us is attractive to them. A cute Omega like you would be in great danger if you were caught alone.”
Zhu Miao: “???”
Being called cute made Su Wan’s emotions ripple a little. She looked steadily at Xie Ning and said worriedly, “What about you, Xie Ning?”
“I’m not afraid of them.” Xie Ning handed Su Wan a spray. “If anyone comes near you, use this on them.”
“Is this a suppressant?”
Xie Ning said, “Suppressants alone don’t work. Some people are actually very clear-headed. They’re pretending to be affected, but in reality, they’re enjoying this party and taking the chance to do things they normally wouldn’t dare do. What I’m giving you—spray it at their eyes. Don’t go soft.”
Su Wan thought that this was basically pepper spray, something banned from being brought into school.
She was surprised Xie Ning would carry something like this. But thinking about it, no matter what, Xie Ning was still an Omega. Since she was an Omega, she definitely needed some self-protection tools. Carrying pepper spray around was not that strange.
She followed Xie Ning to the comprehensive building. There were slightly fewer people here, and it looked relatively safer.
Looking down from the corridor, they could see people everywhere on campus. They chased one another, groups attacking other groups. Those who were alone were especially pitiful. Whether the lone person was an Alpha or someone else, they would be surrounded and attacked by another group.
“Help! Don’t come near me!” A lone male Omega had climbed up a tree and shouted, “Don’t come near me! Get lost! Get lost!”
Under the tree, a group of people threw pebbles at him, scaring the person in the tree until he cried.
Someone ran toward the comprehensive building, attracting a group of people chasing behind them. Some were holding brooms and mops, while others were merely joining the commotion, making the situation look even bigger and deliberately scaring people.
Xie Ning told Su Wan to go upstairs. Zhu Miao, who had been following behind them the whole time, immediately said nothing and ran upward in her high heels with loud thuds. When she reached the third floor and found the glass door in the stairwell locked, she pulled hard at the door and shouted, “Is anyone there? Open the door! Open it!”
The third floor of the comprehensive building was the broadcast room. At this time, there was definitely someone on duty inside. After Zhu Miao shouted for a while, someone soon came out from the broadcast room. Seeing Zhu Miao, then Xie Ning and Su Wan walking up behind her, that person looked extremely surprised.
When Su Wan saw Su Jin come out from the broadcast room, her expression also became unnatural.
Zhu Miao spoke sharply. “Open the door. Hurry up and open it for me!”
Seeing a teacher, the student behind Su Jin immediately stepped forward, holding a key to unlock the door for them.
But Su Jin stopped her. Through the glass door, she said to Xie Ning, “Why did you come here?”
Xie Ning said, “What, is this your territory?”
“I’m part of the broadcast room,” Su Jin said, placing both hands on her waist. “This place is under my management. Go back to your classrooms. Don’t come here!”
Zhu Miao said anxiously, “What grade are you in? How are you speaking? Are you not even going to let me in? It’s complete chaos outside, students are hitting people everywhere. Hurry up and open the door. Let me in!”
Su Jin frowned and looked at Zhu Miao in disgust, then said to the student beside her, “That teacher can come in. The other two students can’t.”
Zhu Miao was stunned. “They’re all girls. Why won’t you let them in? Which class are you from?”
Su Jin said irritably, “Are you done or not? I already agreed to let you in. Be satisfied, okay? A grown woman wearing high heels and a miniskirt running around school—if those wild dogs don’t bully you, who would they bully?”
Zhu Miao: “…”
Xie Ning said, “Isn’t your Brother Xing also a wild dog?”
“You’re not allowed to insult him!” Su Jin said. “Hurry up and go back to your classroom. This is the broadcast room. Unrelated people aren’t allowed in!”
Xie Ning nearly laughed from anger.
Su Wan tugged Xie Ning’s hand, meaning, “Let’s go.”
She felt the campus was so big that there must be a safe place somewhere. It was not as if they desperately needed this broadcast room.
But Xie Ning was determined to enter this door.
The girl holding the key looked hesitant. She did not quite agree with Su Jin’s actions, so Su Jin directly snatched the key from her hand and walked to the glass door, inserting the key into the U-shaped lock.
She removed the U-lock and was just about to open the door when a huge force slammed into it, knocking Su Jin directly away. She fell backward onto the floor, landing on her backside. Her upper and lower teeth knocked painfully together, and she even bit through her lip. She lifted her head in disbelief.
Xie Ning had kicked the door open and stood between the two door panels. Without even looking at Su Jin on the floor, she asked the girls inside, “Do you still plan to lock me outside?”
The two girls in the broadcast room shook their heads in unison.
Zhu Miao let out a breath of relief, patted her chest, and entered, stepping around Su Jin in her high heels to hide inside.
Xie Ning turned back and held Su Wan’s hand. Su Wan followed her in, avoiding stepping on Su Jin. Her first reaction was to run to the window and look outside.
The broadcast room’s window faced the teaching building, so they could clearly see the students’ out-of-control behavior.
Su Wan saw people crowding and pushing one another in the third-floor corridor of the teaching building, shoving a tall boy over the railing and sending him falling onto the grass.
Su Wan covered her mouth in fright, while that group of people cheered.
Xie Ning stood behind her, placed a hand on her shoulder, and patted it gently. She said, “The one who was pushed down is an Alpha. Falling from the third floor won’t kill him.”
Su Wan did not dare speak.
Behind them, Su Jin was so angry she lost her reason. She climbed up from the floor, rushed in, and raised her hand to slap someone.
Hearing the movement, Su Wan immediately turned around. By instinct, she went to hug Xie Ning, using her shoulder to block in front of Xie Ning, wanting to take the hit for her.
When she was little and living with her adoptive parents, every time her adoptive father beat the children, this was how she had blocked for them.
She had gotten so used to blocking that she forgot Xie Ning might not need her protection at all, and Su Jin was not someone worth fearing either!
Habits formed in childhood had always been engraved in her mind. So the moment she saw someone swinging a hand over, the only thing she thought of was curling up and taking it.
Xie Ning was also stunned and nearly failed to react. When Su Jin’s slap was about to land on Su Wan, she immediately used both hands to shove Su Jin away, sending her crashing into the desk and chairs behind her.
“Thud—”
Su Jin hit the broadcast room’s office desk, hurting her waist. Gritting her teeth, she cried and shouted, “Xie Ning! Why don’t you just die?!”
Xie Ning’s head hurt the moment she saw her. At this moment, Su Jin also realized she could not fight Xie Ning by herself, so she turned on the broadcast room microphone, held the mic, and shouted to the entire school, “Xie Ning has gone crazy! Xie Ning is hitting people! Help! Save me!”
“…”
Xie Ning watched Su Jin make a scene as if watching a show. Su Jin then shouted, “We’re in the broadcast room! Xie Ning hit me! She’s like a mad dog! She’s disgusting!”
The broadcast reached every corner of the campus. Even the rioting crowd froze for a moment, then after a while, they started laughing and discussing it.
When Su Wan heard Su Jin say “like a mad dog,” she could not help clenching her fists, so angry that her breathing quickened.
Su Jin could act spoiled, she could make a scene, she could even bully Su Wan, and that was fine. But how could she insult Xie Ning?
Had Xie Ning hit her? Hadn’t she brought that on herself?
Su Jin kept repeating over the broadcast, “Xie Ning hitting people is disgusting! She’s a mad dog! A psycho! Remember this mad dog! Remember how disgusting she looks!”
Xie Ning was still watching the show, with no intention of taking action immediately.
Inside the narrow broadcast room, five or six people were crammed together. Zhu Miao also rushed over and said, “Student, don’t use the school broadcast for something like this! Don’t incite extreme emotions!”
Su Wan ran over like a gust of wind, snatched the microphone from Su Jin’s hand, and said in Mandarin with an accent, “Su Jin is slandering people. Don’t believe her!”
Xie Ning froze. Su Wan put down the mic and looked back at Xie Ning, so nervous her heart was pounding wildly.
If it were any ordinary day, there was no way she could shout over the broadcast in front of the whole school. But in that instant, she had simply been too angry.
Even knowing she would embarrass herself, she still threw caution to the wind.
Heaven knew how much courage it took for her to do this!
Xie Ning took the mic from her hand and stared blankly at her. After a long time, she said softly, “Thank you.”
Su Wan coughed lightly. She knew her words might not carry much weight, but she simply could not stand Su Jin slandering Xie Ning like that.
Zhu Miao asked the other two girls in the broadcast room to help take Su Jin out and talk to her in the corridor.
Holding the mic, Xie Ning sighed softly and said over the broadcast to the entire school, “Year One Class Seven, Ma Chuchu. If you don’t put away your divine powers, the police will come next and arrest you for disturbing public order.”
An uproar broke out.
Xie Ning’s tone was calm. How did she sound crazy at all?
And by now, people were gradually reacting. The cause of this disturbance was that transfer student called Ma Chuchu. If things continued, the police could indeed take Ma Chuchu away.
Xie Ning continued, “There are Alpha suppressants in the comprehensive building. Students who are still able to move freely, please come collect them. Make sure they are used on students who have lost control. Anyone who makes an outstanding contribution during this disturbance will be rewarded ten thousand yuan each.”
“!!!”
