The Unhinged O Has Designs On Me - Chapter 7
From the corner of her eye, Ming Le noticed Shen Jingmian move.
Under the desk, Ming Le decisively stepped on Yue Xing’s foot.
Wake up!
“Hiss.” Yue Xing sucked in a breath at the pain and turned her eyes toward Ming Le. “What’s wrong, Ming Le?”
Hearing her confusion, Ming Le anxiously bumped her thigh against Yue Xing like crazy. How had she still not noticed?
Yue Xing’s body was knocked until it began to sway, and the discussions in her ears gradually sank at the same time.
The wave of chatter swept rapidly from the front toward the back like it was crashing against shore, only to fall strangely silent once it landed, as if everyone had glimpsed something terrifying.
A white figure approached in the corner of Yue Xing’s vision. She froze.
Why had Shen Jingmian suddenly walked over?
Her first thought was that Shen Jingmian had come to find Ming Le, but Ming Le was looking at her.
Her gaze carried condemnation, as if Yue Xing had done something wrong.
Yue Xing: “?”
What did I do?
The classroom was arranged in tiers. Shen Jingmian walked up step by step, and the moment Yue Xing realized she was coming, her eyes could not help following her.
But she was not the exception, because at this moment, everyone on both sides of the stairs had their eyes fixed on Shen Jingmian.
As she watched, Yue Xing gradually sensed that things were going badly.
Without a doubt, Shen Jingmian was the focus of everyone’s attention right now.
Everyone wanted to know who she had specifically come down from the platform for, and why. Was she going to kill the chicken to warn the monkeys, or had someone received special attention?
But without question, either would make that person famous in class.
Shen Jingmian’s steps were unhurried, suspending the breath everyone was holding in their chests. Silent pressure was the most oppressive kind.
The atmosphere in the classroom gradually sank, and the force with which Yue Xing dug her fingertips in also grew heavier.
Under Yue Xing’s gaze, Shen Jingmian finally stopped one row in front of her.
She was not here to torment her. Yue Xing relaxed slightly.
In the next second, Shen Jingmian’s gaze landed on her, swept over her from top to bottom, then slowly moved away again.
She did it slowly, like a blade grinding against skin and flesh, tormenting both body and mind.
A vein at Yue Xing’s forehead jumped faintly.
Shen Jingmian paused, her gaze falling equally over everyone in this circle, as if a cold wind had passed through.
“You’re dissatisfied with me?”
The moment Yue Xing heard this, she instantly let out a breath of relief.
Not her.
She had no dissatisfaction with Shen Jingmian. She had been quietly thinking about her own matters the whole time.
That was what she thought. But when Ming Le saw that Yue Xing did not speak, she assumed Shen Jingmian had frightened her so badly that she did not dare open her mouth, not even to give a sound of acknowledgment, leaving Shen Jingmian hanging.
Her thigh was suddenly twisted without warning. The alpha used great force, clearly determined to make her answer.
“Hiss!” Yue Xing had not expected it, and a muffled sound slipped from her throat.
Someone had finally dared to answer Shen Jingmian’s question.
The gazes around them gathered on her in an instant. Ten thousand arrows piercing her body would be nothing more than this.
Yue Xing even felt Du Nian, far away in the front row, looking over.
Ming Le! Yue Xing was so angry she gritted her teeth.
Now, Shen Jingmian only had eyes for her.
“This student here…”
Shen Jingmian said faintly.
Yue Xing’s fingertips trembled, and her desire to beat Ming Le to death surged to an unprecedented height.
With that one call, she had directly become the “chicken” Shen Jingmian would kill today to warn the monkeys.
Shen Jingmian stood there waiting for her reply. Yue Xing pressed her lips together and thought it over, then still took the initiative to stand up.
“Senior Shen… I’m sorry. I twisted my foot just now and accidentally cried out in pain. I obey the school’s arrangements. I’m not dissatisfied.”
The moment her words left her mouth, the whole room fell silent.
Yue Xing did not think there was anything wrong with what she had said, but the gazes falling on her had clearly become more subtle.
Ming Le held her forehead and sighed for Yue Xing.
Shen Jingmian was now their class assistant. What she hated most was people using personal ties to climb into a relationship with her, especially when they had made a mistake.
Wasn’t Yue Xing slamming herself straight into Shen Jingmian’s line of fire right now?
Yue Xing did not understand why.
But in the next moment, she discovered in shock that Shen Jingmian did not stab at her with any more words. She even followed her statement and praised her. “Very good.”
After that, Shen Jingmian said nothing more. Before leaving, she even specifically told Yue Xing to sit down.
Everyone in the class looked this way, all thinking Shen Jingmian would say something else.
Nothing. There was nothing.
No scolding, no mockery. This was the very definition of lifting something heavily only to put it down lightly.
When familiar mocking and jealous gazes were thrown toward her like rain—
Yue Xing knew she was finished.
With just one slight move from that black-hearted Shen Jingmian, Yue Xing had instantly become a class-wide landmine.
“Ji Chen, Yang Yu, Du Xi…”
Shen Jingmian calmly read out a string of names, once again drawing everyone’s attention.
Yue Xing had just been fiercely set up by Shen Jingmian, so now she stared at her fixedly. However, her own name was not among that long list.
What was Shen Jingmian trying to do?
“The above-mentioned individuals insulted and fabricated facts to slander teaching staff, disrupting management. After the class meeting ends, report to the field and run ten thousand meters as punishment.”
Dead silence.
Shen Jingmian lifted her eyes, her gray gaze icy. “Any objections?”
Her eyes were sharp as knives, and the pressure around her was astonishingly heavy. No one dared raise an objection.
Yue Xing leaned back against her chair. Setting aside the matters between the two of them, she rather liked Shen Jingmian’s way of handling things.
Ming Le leaned back like her and muttered under her breath, “Shen Jingmian treats you so well.”
“?” Yue Xing glanced at her, her hand itching to move.
Wait—
Yue Xing snapped out of her admiration. Ming Le’s one sentence completely woke her up.
Shen Jingmian was trying to ruin her to death!
·
“Yue Xing, shouldn’t you rest?”
“No. Way.”
Ming Le had lost count of how many times she had been rejected, and she could no longer remember exactly how long Yue Xing had been exercising here.
In any case, from the end of the class meeting until now, it had been three hours at least.
Fresh and clean after her shower, Ming Le found a different kind of enjoyment in sitting to the side and watching Yue Xing exercise, so she simply sat down.
“There’s still a month until the elimination match. School only started today. You’ll be able to handle tomorrow’s classes better if you rest well.”
Of course Yue Xing knew Ming Le was right. Although training until now did not make her feel uncomfortable, her body still needed rest in the end.
But the moment Yue Xing thought of the enormous pit Shen Jingmian had dug for her today, she was so angry that she did another twenty push-ups in one breath.
Shen Jingmian!
Shen Jingmian!!
“What are you doing? Working yourself this hard—are you planning not to sleep tonight?”
Seeing Yue Xing’s pent-up, ruthless posture, Ming Le’s eyelid jumped. She hurriedly crouched down, determined to pull Yue Xing up no matter what.
Yue Xing let Ming Le pull her and sat limply against the sofa, her head drooping. Her anger had not faded, and her fingertips went to poke Ming Le again.
“It’s all your fault.”
She sounded listless and weak, and when she said it, the words were soft as a piece of cotton.
Ming Le had already heard this sentence from her countless times tonight and helplessly spread her hands.
“Xing, I’ve said it a hundred times. When I was about to tell you Shen Jingmian was our class assistant, you very considerately said she was unhappy and told me not to talk first.”
Yue Xing had heard this many times tonight, but every time she heard the word “considerately,” her heart clogged.
She had clearly only not wanted to keep talking because Shen Jingmian had her eye on them. In the end, she had fallen hard precisely because of that.
When the whole class knew this was “Class Assistant Shen,” only she, Yue Xing, had called her “Senior Shen.”
Yue Xing was about to cry from how stupid she had been.
Seeing bitterness spread across her beautiful face, Ming Le comforted and persuaded her.
“Besides, after you apologized on the spot, Shen Jingmian didn’t hold it against you, right? So stop remembering it.”
The key point was not Shen Jingmian. It was how the classmates present would view her relationship with Shen Jingmian afterward.
Yue Xing covered her face. “This kind of thing is really hard to forget…”
Personally joining hands with her mortal enemy to push herself into a fire pit—this was the first time in Yue Xing’s life she had done something this stupid.
Ming Le’s persuasion was ineffective, so she could only sigh.
“All right then. Just remember tomorrow in combat confrontation class to call her Teacher Shen.”
Yue Xing’s eyes narrowed slightly, and her collapsed body could not help sitting up straight.
There was a question she had been wanting to ask Ming Le for a long time today.
“Do you think you ought to obediently let me beat you up?”
Ming Le opened her mouth and gave an innocent “Ah?”
Yue Xing clenched her fist and stood.
The dormitory became lively again. From time to time, cries of “Ow, ow” rang out, and only when even the moon in the night sky found it rather noisy did everything finally quiet down completely.
Some people fell asleep. Some people could not sleep.
The pitch-black room was drowned in a floral fragrance. An ocean of camellias bloomed wildly in the boundless night, no longer elegant.
The suppressant chain worn around Shen Jingmian’s neck for control had already been roughly torn off by its owner the moment she returned to her room, falling to the floor with a clatter.
The instant it was removed, Shen Jingmian could feel her gland pulsing with excitement.
The emotions that had surged too intensely aboard the starship that day had forced out her pheromone disorder period, and because of her forceful suppression today, it had fallen into an even worse state.
The cool water flowing over her body became warm. Shen Jingmian soaked for a very long time, so long that the pool of cold water turned tepid, yet her pale skin was flushed scarlet.
Her desire had already been impatiently pouring out from the second she was watched.
Even now, it had not gone out.
Fortunately, the culprit probably could not sleep either right now.
The corner of Shen Jingmian’s mouth lifted slightly. Her silver hair was fully soaked, clinging to her skin. Her deep-red eyes lowered faintly at the corners, and the coldness in her bones was burned into a few traces of gorgeousness by the extreme heat.
Her heat had not arrived yet. She had merely acted on a whim and gone to see someone ahead of time, yet she had been angered into a disorder period.
Yue Xing deserved it.
Yue Xing owed her.
Shen Jingmian lowered her eyes. A wild fire boiled inside her body, like a punishment—punishing her for actually letting that vicious dog go so easily.
That should not have happened. She had been merciful.
Shen Jingmian braced herself against the bathtub, her thoughts naturally settling on the center of her attention.
“Yue. Xing.”
Shen Jingmian spat the name from between her teeth, syllable by syllable. Her lips and tongue held the sound as she pronounced it, as tender as ever.
In truth, Shen Jingmian had not wanted to let Yue Xing off so easily today.
She hated being watched, and she disliked sharing. Yue Xing had committed both offenses, but then had still coaxed her better.
Stopping someone from continuing to look at her, realizing she was unhappy and silently quieting down—quite obedient.
But when Shen Jingmian thought of the report her subordinate had sent today about Du Nian’s movements, that trace of pleasure quickly vanished.
In this life, Yue Xing and Du Nian were walking too close. So close that it surprised her.
The camellias in the bathroom understood the plucked string’s meaning, and their aggressiveness overflowed under restraint.
Shen Jingmian narrowed her eyes, her fingertips tapping against the edge of the bathtub, thoughtful.
She did not want to overthink, but if she confirmed that Yue Xing’s heart had strayed, she would kill her without hesitation.
The first requirement of a dog was loyalty.
That was true anywhere.
If she was dirty, she could be washed clean. If she caused trouble, the trouble could be resolved. If she was bullied, Shen Jingmian could help beat it back…
Everything, all of it, Shen Jingmian would resolve for her.
But the premise was that Yue Xing was still hers.
Yet based on everything that had happened so far, Shen Jingmian had no choice but to put a question mark on Yue Xing.
As for what exactly Yue Xing was thinking, sooner or later, it would be exposed.
The corner of Shen Jingmian’s eye lifted slightly, but the depths of her pupils were gloomy, suppressed, and cold.
Leaving the future aside and speaking only of the present, Yue Xing had to move closer to her.
Her discomfort should not be borne alone.
