The Homophobic Woman Is Reborn And Turns the Best Actress Gay - Chapter 3
Gu Su’an sat uneasily on the bench outside the operating room, her thoughts in complete disarray.
Images of her gravely ill sister filled her mind, along with the woman who had given her that business card. But most of all, she kept thinking about Ye Shixun, who had just left.
She truly could not understand why that woman wanted to help her. Her sister had never mentioned saving anyone before. The uncertainty surrounding this sudden turn of events made Gu Su’an even more anxious.
“Miss Gu, how does it feel to sit here and wait so anxiously?”
Hearing that familiar voice, Gu Su’an raised her head in alarm and saw Su Yun standing before her.
Gu Su’an immediately stood up and said uneasily, “Hello, Miss Su. Why are you here?”
“I came to see you. Such a beautiful woman shouldn’t spend all day wearing such a miserable expression.”
Su Yun stood there with complete confidence.
Ever since she was young, everyone who came into contact with her had inevitably been attracted by her family background. She possessed both wealth and power, and when her looks were added to her status, it seemed Gu Su’an had no reason whatsoever to reject her.
As soon as she finished speaking, Su Yun reached out and gently caressed Gu Su’an’s cheek.
Gu Su’an froze for a moment before quickly turning her face away. Then she forced out a strained smile.
“Thank you for your concern, Miss Su, but I don’t want to accept the arrangement you proposed.”
Perhaps before Ye Shixun arrived, Gu Su’an would have hesitated for a while before accepting it.
But now, the situation was different.
She would rather accept Ye Shixun’s help than become involved with Su Yun.
Her instincts told her that the woman before her was dangerous, like a leopard stalking through the night and toying with its prey.
Although Gu Su’an had only just entered the entertainment industry, she had already heard plenty of rumors about such matters.
Su Yun had an excellent mind for business and an enviable family background, but Su Yun herself was someone people both loved and hated.
Never mind the fact that she slept with both men and women—the number of lovers she had within the entertainment industry alone would be enough to film an entire palace drama without hiring a single extra.
“You don’t want to accept it? Then why did you call me just now?”
Su Yun quietly stared into Gu Su’an’s eyes.
Perhaps at first, she had merely found Gu Su’an amusing enough to play with, but now she had begun to take a little more interest in her.
After all, people this entertaining were rare.
Just as Gu Su’an wanted to explain but did not know how, someone came running over from the distance.
Ye Shixun had bought the food outside. Afraid that Gu Su’an would be frightened while waiting alone, she had jogged all the way back.
However, the moment she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Su Yun standing in front of Gu Su’an with a group of bodyguards.
Ye Shixun’s heart leaped into her throat, and she rushed over without caring about anything else.
Now, Ye Shixun stared at the murderer who had killed her in her previous life.
Hatred flashed through her eyes.
Su Yun had spent many years in the business world and was quite skilled at judging people. Although she did not think Ye Shixun looked particularly remarkable, she knew better than to ignore or underestimate her.
Besides, anyone whose sense of beauty was not distorted would have noticed Ye Shixun’s appearance.
Ye Shixun ignored Su Yun and walked directly to Gu Su’an.
She took a boxed meal from the bag and handed it to her.
“Eat something first. Your sister wouldn’t want you to ruin your health by starving yourself for her sake.”
“Thank you.”
The oppressive feeling Gu Su’an had experienced in Su Yun’s presence vanished the moment Ye Shixun arrived.
She accepted the food and gave Ye Shixun a grateful smile.
Su Yun was briefly dazed by that smile.
When she noticed Ye Shixun looking at her, Su Yun gracefully extended her hand.
“Hello. I’m Su Yun.”
“Hello, Miss Su.”
Ye Shixun also extended her hand and shook hers. She gave a simple greeting but did not introduce herself.
Su Yun had been about to say something else when she suddenly received a phone call. She hurriedly left with her people.
Watching Su Yun’s retreating figure, Ye Shixun quietly let out a breath of relief.
She was not afraid of Su Yun.
She was afraid she would lose control, throw herself at Su Yun, and fight her to the death.
Gu Su’an accepted the meal but did not eat it.
Although she had already missed nearly four meals, the torment of waiting and worrying left her unable to swallow anything.
Ye Shixun saw this and grew increasingly anxious.
If events followed the same course as in her previous life, then Gu Su’an’s sister would not survive.
When that happened, would Gu Su’an become even more haggard?
“An’an, eat a little, all right?”
Ye Shixun had only just spoken when the doors to the operating room opened.
The doctor slowly walked out, exhaustion covering his face.
Gu Su’an gradually rose to her feet and walked toward him. Her voice trembled slightly as she asked, “Doctor, my sister is all right now, isn’t she?”
“I’m sorry. We did everything we could.”
The doctor removed his mask and looked calmly into Gu Su’an’s eyes.
However, the apology in his voice was exceptionally sincere.
Gu Su’an staggered backward several steps.
Had Ye Shixun not caught her in time, she would probably have collapsed to the floor.
Gu Su’an shoved all the food in her hands into Ye Shixun’s arms, then rushed into the operating room without regard for anything else.
Ye Shixun remained outside instead of following.
She thought Gu Su’an probably did not want anyone disturbing her at a moment like this.
Gu Su’an lay beside her sister’s body and wept silently.
In a quiet voice, she said all the things she had always wanted to say but had never spoken aloud.
Eventually, she lost consciousness and fell into a warm embrace.
After Gu Su’an had been inside for a long time, Ye Shixun became worried and went in to check on her.
The moment she entered, she saw Gu Su’an lose consciousness and begin to collapse.
When Gu Su’an woke again, she was lying in a hospital bed.
Staring at the empty room, she thought dazedly that perhaps her sister was still alive.
Maybe everything had only been a nightmare.
But the moment Ye Shixun entered, Gu Su’an became fully awake.
“My sister is gone, isn’t she?”
Gu Su’an’s voice was hoarse and choked with tears.
Ye Shixun’s heart ached at the sight of her.
Unable to find any words of comfort, she could only nod gently.
Seeing this, Gu Su’an buried her head in her arms and began sobbing quietly.
“Let it out. You’ll feel a little better afterward.”
Ye Shixun reached out and gently stroked her back.
Gu Su’an suddenly raised her head in a slightly frantic manner and tightly gripped Ye Shixun’s wrist.
Her hoarse voice trembled as she said, “You… You should leave first.”
“I’m not leaving. Rest for a while. I’ll stay right here with you. I’m not going anywhere.”
How could Ye Shixun bear to leave Gu Su’an alone to cry?
Ye Shixun understood the pain of losing someone closest to her.
It was just like when Gu Su’an had died before her eyes in her previous life.
At that time, she had wished everyone in the world would disappear.
But after all her friends left and that overwhelming loneliness and emptiness swept over her, Ye Shixun had wanted nothing more than to leave the world as well and follow Gu Su’an into death.
But she could not.
She still wanted revenge.
She wanted to personally send Su Yun to hell.
Unfortunately, she had miscalculated.
With Su Yun’s family background, killing her was even more difficult than killing a god.
Gu Su’an felt so suffocated that she instinctively threw herself into Ye Shixun’s arms.
Gradually, she began crying aloud.
After a long time, she fell silent.
When Ye Shixun looked down again, Gu Su’an had already fallen into an exhausted sleep.
Ye Shixun helped her lie down and tucked the blanket around her.
Then she sat quietly beside the bed.
She did not know what would happen in the future.
She only wanted to cherish every minute and every second she could spend with Gu Su’an.
