The Homophobic Woman Is Reborn And Turns the Best Actress Gay - Chapter 4
Three full months had passed since Sister Gu’s death.
During those three months, Ye Shixun and Gu Su’an had not seen each other again. Ye Shixun needed to become powerful as quickly as possible, so relying on memories from her previous life, she sought out several people who had once been her business partners but were complete strangers to her in this life.
Gu Su’an’s agency had also arranged work for her. Given her appearance and temperament, the company wanted her to take the idol route. Thus, her first drama was a melodramatic idol series supported entirely by the cast’s looks, something along the lines of a romance between the school belle and the campus heartthrob.
Although the plot was cliché and ridiculous, the entire cast consisted of beautiful goddesses and handsome young men.
The weather had been terrible over the past few days, with one torrential downpour after another. The production crew had no choice but to postpone filming.
When Gu Su’an returned after finishing work that evening, she found her luggage packed and placed outside the door.
She was still a newcomer, so the company had not arranged accommodation for her. They had not even assigned her a permanent manager yet, much less an assistant.
To pay for her sister’s treatment, she had long since sold the house her parents had left behind.
She had been renting a room from an elderly woman, but when she returned, all her packed belongings were sitting outside.
Gu Su’an stepped forward and knocked on the door.
A man she had never seen before opened it. The moment he saw her, he said, “You used to be the tenant here, right?”
“Yes, I am. May I ask why all my belongings have been placed outside?”
Gu Su’an’s rent had expired a long time ago, but the elderly woman was kindhearted. Seeing that Gu Su’an was all alone, she had allowed her to pay once she earned some money at the end of the year.
The man glanced disdainfully at her.
“My mother let you live here for free? Let me tell you, this house belongs to me. Take your things and leave right now.”
Gu Su’an gave him an apologetic smile, picked up her luggage, and left.
When she had lacked money for the medical fees, she had sold almost everything valuable she owned. Since she would be traveling out of town for location filming in a few days, she had already packed all her belongings into her suitcase.
The man had simply carried everything outside for her.
Gu Su’an took out a folding umbrella and opened it. Pulling her luggage behind her, she walked along the street.
Rain struck the suitcase, and the hem of her dress was soon soaked.
Her eyes reddened slightly.
For now, she could only take a taxi to a hotel and stay there for the night. Tomorrow, she would search for another place to live.
For some reason, however, none of the passing cars seemed to notice her that night.
Meanwhile, inside the bar, Ye Shixun quickly counted out the money and placed it in front of Feng Liu.
“Not bad. You paid me back in only three months? Did you win the lottery?” Feng Liu asked.
Feng Liu had originally been the daughter of a wealthy family. After coming out in front of her family, however, she had been thrown out.
Fortunately, the allowance she had saved over the years had been enough for her to open this bar. Although she could no longer spend as extravagantly as before, she was still financially comfortable.
In Feng Liu’s eyes, Ye Shixun had always been a wandering street performer who carried her violin around every day.
Ye Shixun had lived one day at a time without much concern for the future. But when she suddenly came to borrow money three months ago, Feng Liu had felt as though she had become an entirely different person.
The brows Ye Shixun constantly kept furrowed finally relaxed.
She poured herself a glass of alcohol, took a small sip, and smiled.
“I used to drift through life without knowing what I was supposed to live for. Now that I’ve found my reason for living, of course I have to work hard for it.”
“Well, that’s rare. You’re even making impassioned speeches now.” Feng Liu looked at Ye Shixun as the rain outside pattered against the ground. “Are you staying here tonight or going home?”
Ye Shixun rubbed her nose.
“I’ve already been staying at your place for more than half a month. I should go home for a few days and clean the place up while I’m there.”
“That makes sense. You’ll be moving out in a few days anyway, right? You might as well sell that little house. You may not need the money now, but there’s no point keeping it.”
Feng Liu’s voice was filled with emotion.
Rumor had it that the commercial genius of S City was Su Yun, the second daughter of the Su family.
But in Feng Liu’s opinion, once Ye Shixun truly became ruthless and determined, her abilities would far surpass Su Yun’s.
Ye Shixun drove away, leaving Feng Liu alone inside the bar, quietly sighing.
Ye Shixun had changed far too much.
Three months ago, seeing Feng Liu had disgusted Ye Shixun so much that she vomited.
Once, when Ye Shixun came to the bar and accidentally saw two women kissing, she had trembled violently with disgust. In the end, she only calmed down after being taken to the hospital.
But now, not only did Ye Shixun no longer reject Feng Liu, she often made time to visit the bar and sit for a while.
However, on closer inspection, Ye Shixun did not appear to have turned gay.
At the very least, whenever an exceptionally beautiful woman appeared in the bar, she would continue drinking alone without the slightest reaction.
Whenever those women approached her, Ye Shixun would merely shrug and leave Feng Liu to deal with them.
Everything indicated that Ye Shixun was still straight.
Ye Shixun sped along the streets.
It was already very late, and she was eager to return home, shower, and sleep.
As the car raced forward, water beneath the tires splashed outward. Fortunately, there was no one along the road, so Ye Shixun did not slow down.
Then a large spray of dirty water flew up.
A woman standing by the roadside hurriedly threw away the umbrella she was holding. Her clothes were drenched by the filthy water, and her suitcase toppled to the ground.
By then, Ye Shixun’s car had already driven away.
Gu Su’an stared at the umbrella swaying in the wind and rain, her fallen suitcase, and the dirty water covering her entire body.
She exhaled heavily.
“What exactly did I do wrong in my previous life?”
In a fit of anger, Gu Su’an did not even bother picking up the umbrella.
She was already completely soaked anyway.
Her suitcase could probably be used as a fish tank by now.
She pulled the suitcase upright and raised her head, intending to look at the sky, only for the rain to obscure her vision.
Gu Su’an released a long, frustrated breath and wiped the water from her face.
She did not know whether it was rain or tears.
Perhaps it was both.
But after wiping them away together, her mood strangely improved a little.
The car that had just driven away slowly returned.
When it stopped in front of her, Gu Su’an saw a familiar figure step out.
Only after that person approached and stood before her beneath an umbrella did Gu Su’an finally return to her senses.
“A-A’Xun?”
“Why are you out here alone?”
Seeing Gu Su’an in such a miserable state, Ye Shixun wanted to beat herself up.
Why had she been driving so quickly?
Was she rushing off to be reincarnated?
Heartache and self-blame instantly filled her chest.
Gu Su’an pointed at the suitcase beside her and deliberately smiled as though it were no big deal.
“My landlord threw me out. I don’t have anywhere to go right now, so I was planning to stay at a nearby hotel for the night.”
“All right, don’t say anything else. Get in the car first. I’ll figure out somewhere for you to stay.”
Ye Shixun naturally picked up Gu Su’an’s luggage, then opened the car door for her.
Gu Su’an looked at the clean seat, then down at her completely soaked body.
She froze outside the car.
Ye Shixun grew slightly annoyed.
“What are you still standing there for? Hurry and get in. Your body is naturally cold, so you can’t afford to catch a chill. Don’t you know that yourself?”
This time, Gu Su’an said nothing.
She obediently climbed into the car and remained silent.
Her mind replayed what Ye Shixun had just said.
Judging by her tone, it sounded as though the two of them knew each other extremely well.
But Gu Su’an could guarantee that she had never spent much time with Ye Shixun.
Other than knowing Ye Shixun’s name and gender, she knew absolutely nothing else about her.
Ye Shixun stored Gu Su’an’s luggage properly and even retrieved the umbrella that was nearly being blown away in the distance.
When Ye Shixun finally climbed into the car, Gu Su’an noticed that she was now just as thoroughly soaked.
Her wet clothes clung tightly to her body, clearly outlining Ye Shixun’s figure.
Ye Shixun casually removed her drenched coat and started the car again.
This time, however, she drove much more slowly.
