A Straight Woman Forcefully Claims The Little White Flower Heroine - Chapter 3
“I don’t know what you want me to hear.” Qin Wei frowned. “I’m very sorry I walked into the wrong room and disturbed you.”
Qin Wei didn’t want to listen anymore. She tugged at her arm, trying to pull her hand free from the woman in front of her, but the other woman’s fingers were like an ill-fitting bracelet—the harder she tried to remove them, the more painfully red her wrist became.
Lu Chenyu’s expression turned cold. Casually, she took Qin Wei’s phone out of her shoulder bag, swiped up, held it toward Qin Wei’s face, and unlocked it with ease.
The message was from Zhou Jing.
—Where are you? Are you here yet?
“Miss Qin, feel free to imagine just how long I’ve been listening.” Lu Chenyu bit the tip of her tongue to ease the faint throbbing in her head, digesting the memories that came with the headache—memories from the few minutes before she had fully arrived in this world.
The century-old Lu family of Rain City had, in a sense, already monopolized the entire city.
Aside from Hanlin Waterside Pavilion, the Lu family owned several other high-end private clubs, and whatever these people discussed in places like this had never been a secret from her.
The things these people fought tooth and nail over were nothing more than things the head of the Lu family could casually let go of.
Qin Wei’s brows furrowed even deeper. Before she could speak, however, the voices that suddenly sounded in the room sent her plunging into an icy abyss, her entire body beginning to tremble.
“Jingzhe Number One?” Zhou Jing seemed to be going through the chat history. Staring at the private-room number that had been sent from her phone, she asked in confusion.
Zhou You glanced at it and said carelessly, “I was too nervous when I sent the message and accidentally sent the wrong one.”
“She’s been gone this long. She didn’t really go to Jingzhe Number One, did she?” Zhou You exclaimed, an almost imperceptible trace of smugness in her voice. “I heard Number One is receiving guests today.”
“She couldn’t have been mistaken for…”
“Zhou You!” Zhou Jing shouted, abruptly getting to her feet and knocking over the wineglass beside her. Glass shattered across the floor in a continuous series of sounds.
“You were vomiting so badly at the time. I was panicking and sent the wrong message—so what? If she went in and saw something was wrong, couldn’t she just come back out herself? Who knew she…” Zhou You still spoke with that same superior, unconcerned attitude.
“Enough. If she walked into the wrong room, we’ll just bring her back, won’t we?” Zhou You stood up and walked toward the private-room door, then asked, “You going? I can’t stand her. If I say something unpleasant later, don’t blame me.”
Zhou Jing said nothing. She got up, and the door closed.
Immediately afterward, the sound of their footsteps traveled into the hidden little room, growing louder and clearer by the second.
Qin Wei’s heart rose into her throat. Looking at the woman pinning her down, she couldn’t help pushing against her. “I-I need to get out.”
“You heard it too. I really did just walk into the wrong room.” There was a faint sob in Qin Wei’s voice. She wasn’t strong enough to push Lu Chenyu off her at all, and as she struggled, her coat slipped from her shoulder again.
The chiffon bow tied beneath her neck had also been rubbed loose and disheveled.
“…” Lu Chenyu stared blankly for a moment, then asked the system absentmindedly, “For a first meeting, this should be about enough, right?”
“Shouldn’t coercion be something you build up gradually?”
System: “System data shows that the main event is still ahead! Please keep it up, Host!”
Lu Chenyu screamed internally, “Is it really appropriate to completely wreck someone’s relationship the first time we meet?!”
“If you just count three, two, one and have me snatch her away immediately, then what’s even left to play out?!”
System: “System data shows that every act of coercion must include at least one instance of intimate physical contact.”
Lu Chenyu: “…You people are murdering a weak and helpless straight woman.”
“Then this system will send the host home.”
“Get lost!”
Lu Chenyu’s expression shifted several times. She stared at Qin Wei and inexplicably let out a cold laugh.
“Miss Qin, you may have walked into the wrong room, but I never said I was waiting for the wrong person.”
Qin Wei’s expression changed drastically. Carefully, she eased the utility knife hidden inside her sleeve into her hand and curled deeper into the sofa.
Lu Chenyu followed immediately, nearly pressing herself against Qin Wei. Her pale gray eyes roamed over Qin Wei as if examining prey, leaving no part of her untouched by that gaze.
“You… what are you trying to do? I’m already—I’m already married. Please…!”
Lu Chenyu seized Qin Wei by the throat, her knuckles grinding against her windpipe. Qin Wei was forced to tilt her head back, letting out a muffled whimper.
“They’ve come in. If you go out now, do you want them to see what you and I have been doing?” While inwardly chanting what a sin this was, Lu Chenyu caught hold of the loosened bow at Qin Wei’s neck and toyed with it twice.
“I… mm… I haven’t done anything with you. Let go, let go of me… mm!” More dazed tears welled in Qin Wei’s hazy amber eyes. She pried at Lu Chenyu’s arm, only to be forced to realize once again just how strong the woman in front of her was.
She couldn’t break free at all.
“What you and I say doesn’t count.” Lu Chenyu placed the remote in Qin Wei’s hand and pointed at the white button. “Miss Qin, would you like to let them come in and see what we look like right now?”
“No…” Qin Wei began trembling. The footsteps no longer sounded as though they were coming through some electronic device. They seemed to be right outside the door.
She could not only hear the footsteps clearly, but also Zhou Jing and Zhou You’s voices, as though they were right beside her.
“Qin Wei?”
“Why is no one here? Could Sister Qin have followed them somewhere else? She clearly told me she was right at the door.” Zhou You’s words carried another meaning beneath them. She turned all the lights in the outer room on and paced back and forth. “Sister Qin? Are you in here?”
Several times, Zhou You seemed to walk right up to the hidden door and linger there for quite a while.
Qin Wei’s face turned deathly pale. She looked at the woman in front of her, only to realize that the other woman was actually smiling.
The remote was right in front of her. All she had to do was press it lightly, and she could escape.
But…
Looking like this, if Zhou Jing saw her, she would definitely…
Qin Wei bit down on the tip of her tongue. Tears fell one after another as she reached out and grabbed the remote from the woman’s hand.
“I’ll call her.” Zhou You suddenly spoke from right in front of the hidden door.
“I’ll do it,” Zhou Jing stopped her.
Qin Wei’s hand froze. Instinctively, she looked at the phone still held in the woman’s hand.
“Silent mode, or… should I let them hear it?” Lu Chenyu asked in a lowered voice.
Qin Wei couldn’t make a sound. She only looked at her in terror, then silently turned her gaze toward the tightly shut hidden door.
“Miss Qin, how about I choose for you? Let me kiss you once, and not only will I make sure they don’t discover what you look like right now, I’ll also make you appear at the first-floor entrance without anyone noticing.”
Lu Chenyu took the opportunity to state her “coercive” demand.
System: “Isn’t that a request?”
Lu Chenyu gritted her teeth and retorted, “What, do you want that stupid alarm to go off again?”
System: “Strangely enough, it didn’t.”
Lu Chenyu sighed in relief. Her face still maintained a “malicious” expression, while in reality she had already begun staring at Qin Wei and wondering where exactly she could kiss her once.
“Silent mode.” Qin Wei closed her eyes and forced the two words out from deep in her throat.
Lu Chenyu glanced at the phone, which had already been muted long ago. Seeing the incoming caller ID, she casually tossed it back into Qin Wei’s bag.
Then she pressed the phone on the coffee table and quietly said a few words. Before long, orderly footsteps sounded outside, and staff who had come upstairs escorted Zhou Jing and Zhou You away.
“Miss Qin? Miss Qin is in the changing room on the first floor.” Lu Meng, the attendant who had guided Qin Wei earlier, spoke without the slightest change in expression. “
“One of the food-service attendants accidentally soiled Miss Qin’s clothes. We sincerely apologize.”
“This way, please. I’ll take you there.” Lu Meng smiled.
The voices quickly faded away.
Lu Chenyu released Qin Wei and half-sat on the coffee table with her legs spread in an uninhibited posture, struggling to keep her expression from collapsing as she stared at Qin Wei with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile.
Under the woman’s naked, inescapable gaze, Qin Wei covered her collar and sat up from the sofa.
She said nothing. As she lowered her head to straighten the bow at her chest, she quietly drew the utility knife out from her sleeve.
Then she pulled her fallen trench coat back up and tightened her grip on the remote the woman seemed to have forgotten to take back from her.
“Miss Qin, your eyes are beautiful,” Lu Chenyu said pointedly.
Kiss her on the lips? No, she couldn’t do that. The cheek? Also no. Too close to the mouth, too hard to control. The forehead? Then she would have to brush Qin Wei’s hair aside. The ear? Absolutely not! That was even more intimate than kissing her on the mouth!
Those two troublesome teammates of hers used to fall asleep practically gnawing on each other’s ears every time!
She thought it over and over, then over and over again. Staring at Qin Wei’s face, Lu Chenyu felt that only those eyes were something she might be able to try.
Amber, gentle, hazy like a dream.
If Qin Wei got scared and closed her eyes, even better.
“…” Qin Wei’s hand trembled. The utility knife hidden behind her sleeve accidentally showed itself.
But when she looked at the inscrutable woman in front of her, she found that the woman seemed only to be staring at her face and hadn’t noticed what her hand was doing at all.
Qin Wei didn’t know whether she should feel relieved or react some other way.
“Miss Qin?” Lu Chenyu maintained her bold, legs-spread sitting posture. Her hands, resting in front of her, were even planted separately on either side of the coffee table as she leaned slightly backward, as though silently inviting Qin Wei to come closer.
Qin Wei looked at the woman’s careless, unruly posture. Her lips pressed together even more tightly as she gripped her sleeve and very slowly shifted half an inch off the sofa.
Before she could even stand, her knee bumped against Lu Chenyu’s thigh.
“…” Qin Wei sat back down, clutching the remote and repeatedly glancing toward the door on the right from the corner of her eye.
The smile on Lu Chenyu’s face stiffened. She was almost unable to maintain the expression any longer.
She was hungry! One moment ago she had still been rummaging through garbage for a bite to eat. She had just finished fighting a zombie and hadn’t even gotten the chance to take one bite of some years-old stale bread before she was thrown here to complete a mission!
No, no! Her stomach was about to growl! She was going to break character!
Lu Chenyu’s expression turned cold. Without warning, she grabbed Qin Wei by the shoulder and yanked her forward, then slid her other hand through Qin Wei’s hair and rested it firmly but not harshly against the back of her head.
“No…” Qin Wei’s eyes widened in shock. She had barely gotten the sound out before Lu Chenyu mercilessly covered her mouth.
“Don’t speak. Close your eyes. It’ll be over soon.” Lu Chenyu lowered her head coldly, staring into Qin Wei’s terrified eyes as she slowly moved closer.
Those pupils trembled violently, as though they were trying to struggle free of her eye sockets and hurl themselves against Lu Chenyu’s hands.
Something really did leap free. The instant Qin Wei closed her eyes, two tears escaped from them as though fleeing, landing on the back of Lu Chenyu’s hand.
Lu Chenyu’s movements stopped. Only when a faint warning tone sounded inside her head did she finally bend down to complete the kiss.
“…Hiss.” A sharp pain shot through Lu Chenyu’s arm, but years of instinct from killing zombies didn’t make her release her grip. Instead, she reflexively held Qin Wei even tighter.
“Let go of me!”
Qin Wei began struggling violently. The utility knife in her hand swung wildly, nearly injuring herself.
“Don’t…”
Lu Chenyu released her for an instant, then quickly caught her wrist, trying to snatch the utility knife away.
There was a sharp scrape.
The utility knife sliced across Lu Chenyu’s cheek. Blood immediately welled up, dripping onto both of them.
“…” Lu Chenyu released Qin Wei, looked at the utility knife in her hand, then raised her hand and wiped the blood from her face.
She lowered her eyes, her gaze terrifyingly cold.
Qin Wei froze where she stood, frightened by that look, and stumbled backward. But fear and anger quickly surged up inside her. She pressed the remote, her stubborn eyes shimmering with tears as she glared at Lu Chenyu twice, then darted past her and fled.
“…” Lu Chenyu covered her bleeding cheek and silently watched Qin Wei’s panicked figure disappear past her. For a long time, she said nothing.
“Host, congratulations on completing Stage One—Fear.”
Lu Chenyu didn’t speak. She opened her palm and stared at the bright red blood staining it, then inexplicably smiled.
She pressed the phone beside her and said, “Lu Meng, go pick up Miss Qin.”
