A Tsundere Beauty Omega is Stubborn but Sweet - Chapter 9
The sky had long since turned dark. A chilly evening breeze swept over exposed skin, sending a ripple of goosebumps across the flesh.
Zhou Muxian knocked on the door again. Seeing that no one was coming to open it, she suddenly remembered she had Yu You on her WeChat list. She hurriedly opened Yu You’s Moments—fortunately, she hadn’t been deleted.
She squatted on the ground, her back pressed against the cold front door. She unzipped part of her jacket, revealing her snowy-white neck, brushed her smooth, long black hair to one side, and held her phone high to snap a photo.
In the photo, Zhou Muxian looked shivering and cold, her eyes brimming with tears, her hair tossed by the wind. She looked exactly like an innocent puppy that had been kicked out of the house.
Zhou Muxian sent the photo to Yu You immediately.

Ding-ding—
The notification sound for a WeChat message came from right behind the door. Before Zhou Muxian could react, the door she was leaning against suddenly creaked open.
She tumbled backward onto the floor, completely caught off guard.
Yu You stood there with a frosty expression. Without even looking at her, she stepped right over Zhou Muxian’s body and dropped a curt remark: “Heh, don’t get ahead of yourself. I didn’t come specifically to open the door for you. I’m going to water the flowers.”
Zhou Muxian propped herself up. She watched as Yu You actually picked up a watering can to tend to the blooming crabapples. Wearing only a thin nightgown that fluttered in the night wind, she didn’t look like she was prepared to garden at all.
Zhou Muxian grabbed a cashmere shawl from the living room and hurried over to her.
Hearing the movement, Yu You stole a glance from the corner of her eye. She dodged Zhou Muxian’s attempt to drape the shawl over her, set down the watering can without a word, and turned to leave.
Zhou Muxian followed her step for step but didn’t say a word. She followed her all the way back into the house, right up to the stairs.
Yu You took two steps up, then abruptly stopped. She whipped around to glare at Zhou Muxian, who was busy closing the front door. “Don’t you have anything to say?”
Zhou Muxian took a breath and hesitated. “About the Incense-Burning Princess and me…”
Before the words could even land, Yu You charged over aggressively. Her finger poked hard against Zhou Muxian’s shoulder, accompanying every poke with a scolding: “You—you—you—you! Still making excuses!!”
“I’m not making excuses.”
Zhou Muxian looked at her blankly. But a second later, when she wanted to explain, she realized she truly didn’t know how. She turned her head away in frustration.
Seeing this, Yu You grew even angrier and began ranting on the spot: “Who was the one who kept telling me they’d let it go? That they snapped out of it instantly? And who was the one who insisted on dragging me to the Civil Affairs Bureau to tell me about ‘recognizing sincerity’? It was all fake! You just wanted me to give up on the Princess so you could have her all to yourself, didn’t you!”
“It’s not… I…”
Zhou Muxian was truly defenseless. Could she tell Yu You the truth? But the events hadn’t happened yet. If she just blurted it out like that, whether Yu You believed her was one thing—but if it messed with the plot’s reversal, that would be a disaster.
“Not what? It is! It is! I knew something was wrong this morning when you didn’t use the family car and insisted on calling a taxi. I followed you all the way, and sure enough! Oh, you’re good, Zhou Muxian! You’re a real actress! I almost fell for your act!”
As Yu You grew more agitated, the scent of daisies in the air spiked again. Zhou Muxian squeezed her eyes shut, struggling to resist the subtle, defenseless temptation of the pheromones.
She slowly pulled an Omega suppressant from her pocket and looked cautiously at Yu You. “Do you need the injection?”
An Omega’s heat cycle usually occurred once a month, lasting five to seven days. During that window, the heat was sporadic and unpredictable; one never knew when it would hit or how intense it would be.
Earlier that day, Yu You had already had a flare-up at the bar. Usually, she shouldn’t have another until tomorrow, but less than ten hours later, it was back.
Yu You felt a sting of embarrassment. She huffed coldly and turned to go upstairs.
Zhou Muxian immediately ordered a white chocolate ice cream cake for delivery. Once the courier arrived, she placed the cake and a handful of suppressants outside Yu You’s door.
Knock, knock, knock—
After knocking, Zhou Muxian darted back into her own room. Seeing that Yu You didn’t open the door, she went out and knocked twice more, then ducked back again to peek through the crack of her door.
Creak—
This time, Yu You opened it. Her pouting face scanned the hallway before looking down at the floor.
Seeing the items on the ground, she froze for a few seconds. Then, she snapped her head toward Zhou Muxian’s room. Zhou Muxian slammed her door shut just in time.
Hearing the door to Yu You’s room close shortly after, Zhou Muxian gingerly opened her door a crack again. To her surprise, that furious face was right outside her door.
A pair of spirited eyes stared at her unblinkingly.
Zhou Muxian’s heart skipped a beat in fright. She reflexively pulled the door wide open and forced a sweet smile. “Sister~”
Yu You crossed her arms and pushed past Zhou Muxian, her shoulder unceremoniously bumping into her as she swaggered into the room.
“Well, I have no choice. Since I’m your sister and you’re so senseless, blinded by that scumbag woman, I suppose I have to teach you a lesson.”
Yu You turned around and sat on the edge of the bed with her legs crossed. Her slender, pale calf peeked out from under her silk nightgown, drawing the eye naturally.
Seeing that she was willing to give her a way out, Zhou Muxian hurried over and played along with a smile. “Please, Sister, enlighten me. Your sister is all ears.”
“Then let’s record a video.” Yu You pulled out her phone and aimed the camera at Zhou Muxian.
Zhou Muxian was bewildered. “What kind of video?”
“You’re going to swear in the video. Say that you’ll never go looking for the Incense-Burning Princess again. If you go to her again, you’ll…”
Yu You stopped and looked down in thought. It seemed she hadn’t decided how to punish her disobedient sister yet.
Zhou Muxian didn’t want to miss this chance for reconciliation, but she was worried Yu You would demand something extreme, like leaving the house.
“Mmm…” Yu You sat in silence for a long time before finally looking up. “Bark like a dog.”
“Ah? What?!”
Zhou Muxian’s cheeks flushed instantly. Asking an Alpha to bark like a dog was the ultimate humiliation. If she actually did it, would Yu You post the video online?
Seeing the refusal written all over her face, Yu You’s temper flared again. She jumped up. “What are you afraid of?! Only someone who still wants to see the Princess would be afraid! Do you still want to go find her?!”
“I…”
Zhou Muxian was at a loss for words. The faint daisy scent in the room made her face burn even hotter. She avoided Yu You’s gaze and spoke with difficulty: “But… what if the Princess insists on coming to find me? How does that count?”
“That’s separate. What I’m talking about right now is you going to find her.” Yu You was more reasonable than Zhou Muxian had expected.
Zhou Muxian thought it over. There was no real reason to refuse. She nodded. “Fine.”
Seeing her scheme succeed, Yu You let out a happy laugh and aimed the camera. “Go ahead. We’ll have video evidence.”
Zhou Muxian looked awkwardly into the lens and raised her hand. “If I go looking for the Incense-Burning Princess again, I’ll bark like a dog.”
Yu You was satisfied and started to pull her phone back, but Zhou Muxian suddenly caught her wrist. Yu You looked up in surprise; the phone was already in Zhou Muxian’s hand.
This time, the camera was aimed at Yu You.
“Sister should record one too.” Zhou Muxian was grinning, looking perfectly innocent, yet it made one instinctively wary.
Yu You’s lip twitched. She tilted her chin. “I’m not barking like a dog.”
Zhou Muxian kept her smile. “I don’t want Sister to bark. I want Sister to do something else.”
“What thing?” Yu You asked curiously.
“If Sister goes to see the Incense-Burning Princess, she has to kiss me twice. While kissing, she has to say: ‘Good sister, Sister was wrong.'”
Zhou Muxian had the nerve to say it, but Yu You didn’t even have the nerve to process it. Her body stiffened as if she’d been struck by lightning.
When she finally regained her senses, she poked Zhou Muxian’s chest haughtily. “You need to understand your place. You’re an Omega. No matter how charming I am, you can’t be ‘liking’ me.”
“It’s just a punishment. Is Sister scared?” Zhou Muxian blinked innocently, though her eyes glinted with mischief.
Yu You hated being looked down upon by Zhou Muxian. She agreed immediately. “I’ll say it. I’m not afraid. When I said I’d let go, I meant it. I won’t go looking for her. I’m not like some people who talk a big game but can’t follow through.”
“Then go ahead.”
Yu You tried her best to look casual for the camera, but her face had quietly turned a deep crimson. Her words came out stumbling.
“I-if… if I go to see the Incense-Burning Princess, I… I’ll kiss you once…”
“Twice,” Zhou Muxian corrected.
The blush on Yu You’s face deepened. She took a sharp breath, looking like she was ready to go for broke. “If I go find the Incense-Burning Princess, I’ll kiss you twice! And I’ll say ‘Good sister, Sister was wrong’ while I do it! There! Happy?!”
Her neck was completely red by the time she finished. She snatched her phone back and fled Zhou Muxian’s room in a state of flustered panic.
Back in her own room, once her emotions settled, she let out a little “hehe” and immediately deleted her own video.
After all, the videos were taken on her phone.
Now, there was no evidence!
