After Pretending to Be an Alpha, I Was Exposed by My Rival - Chapter 4
After getting permission from Zhou Yijue, Yuan Haojun immediately came back to life. He bounced back into action, running around the matchmaking event and circling the beautiful, charming Omegas like an excited puppy with an almost physical tail wagging behind him.
Zhou Yijue didn’t like this kind of place.
A bunch of Alphas and Betas acting like they’d never seen an Omega before, drooling so much it looked like it might hit their shoes.
But liking it or not didn’t matter—once you were here, avoiding alcohol entirely was impossible.
Even though Zhou Yijue disliked it, he inevitably ended up drinking quite a lot—mixed drinks at that.
That bastard Yuan Datou, once he got drunk, unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt, revealing a refined collarbone that didn’t match his “big head” at all, and started slow dancing closely with another Alpha.
If he were sober, Yuan Datou would’ve been disgusted by this and started ranting immediately. His lifelong dream was to defeat Alphas and marry a rich, beautiful Omega.
But drunk Yuan Datou was dancing intimately with an Alpha. Under the crowd’s cheering and encouragement, he even kissed the other person.
A hot French kiss.
Tsk tsk.
Zhou Yijue, holding a grudge, even recorded Yuan Datou’s embarrassing behavior.
He’d send it to him later.
“Lu ge, what are you looking at? You’ve been distracted all night.”
Monkey was drunk, his face flushed red like a monkey’s butt. He slung an arm over Lu Chizhou’s shoulder, grinning in a sleazy way.
Wu Qi had better alcohol tolerance. He wasn’t as drunk as Monkey, but still somewhat clear-headed. He walked over and glanced at Monkey.
“Damn, Monkey, did your butt grow on your head?”
“What do you mean butt on my head?! Wu Qi, you pervert! Were you staring at my butt? Say it, have you been coveting my butt all along?”
Monkey, completely drunk and unable to distinguish friend from foe, grabbed Wu Qi and swung what he thought was a powerful punch (but was really just a soft flop).
Both of them lost their balance and fell. Wu Qi got pinned underneath and hit his head, seeing stars.
Monkey ended up sitting on Wu Qi, completely dizzy.
“Ugh—”
“Damn it, Monkey, you’re dead!”
The scene was complete chaos.
Zhou Yijue was also drunk.
But his drunken behavior was different from others.
When he got drunk, he became strangely serious and quiet. Sitting there calmly, his face remained clean and composed, showing almost no signs of intoxication.
But don’t mistake him for a gentle rabbit.
At this moment, drunk Zhou Yijue was even more explosive and more prone to losing his temper than usual.
Touch him, and he would bite you.
A few bold ones, who had been coveting Zhou Yijue’s handsome face all night, finally couldn’t resist. Seeing him sitting quietly in the corner, they gathered around with drinks, pretending to toast him while trying to get closer.
“Hey beauty, want a drink? Even though we’re all Alphas, it’s a waste for you to only be an Alpha with that face.”
A yellow-haired, earring-wearing delinquent-type Alpha—like a stereotypical rebellious boy from the 1990s—reached out with a greasy hand.
“Ah—!”
The moment his fingers touched Zhou Yijue’s clothes, he was immediately grabbed and thrown over the shoulder.
A perfect shoulder throw.
He hit the ground hard and lay there stunned, blood trickling from his nose.
The remaining people saw this and instantly turned into frightened quails. Swallowing hard, they quickly found excuses and left.
But just as they turned around, they were stopped by Lu Chizhou, who without hesitation knocked down two of them first.
“Hey! What the hell are you doing hitting people?”
“I’m not hitting people,” Lu Chizhou said calmly. “I’m hitting animals.”
Then he stepped forward and gave them another kick.
After finishing, Lu Chizhou clapped his hands and walked over to Zhou Yijue, preparing to play the heroic savior.
“Uh… are you okay?”
He tugged at his collar, suddenly feeling extremely thirsty.
Did I drink fake alcohol tonight? Why do I feel so uncomfortable?
He glanced at Zhou Yijue—and froze.
The boy’s face was flushed red, his eyes misty and wet. One blink looked like rippling spring water, intoxicating beyond reason.
Just moments ago he had looked pale and clean—so why had he suddenly become so flushed?
Could it be… because of his heroic rescue?
Was Zhou Yijue’s heart already racing because of him, unable to resist his overwhelming charm?
Although AA relationships weren’t strictly prohibited by interstellar law, Alphas above a certain mental strength were generally not allowed to marry for the sake of the population’s future.
But if it was someone as pretty as Zhou Yijue… he wouldn’t mind trying.
Lu Chizhou swallowed.
Zhou Yijue slowly lifted his eyes. His dazed gaze locked onto Lu Chizhou, and instantly, anger flared up, burning his eyes red.
He suddenly stood up, grabbed Lu Chizhou’s collar—and just as he was about to curse him out, his body went weak.
His footing disappeared, as if stepping on clouds, and he lost balance.
He fell straight into Lu Chizhou’s arms.
A perfect “throwing himself into his arms” moment.
Lu Chizhou was delighted.
This little enchantress really does like me.
He was clearly sober earlier—but now that he’s in front of me, he’s pretending to be drunk and throwing himself at me so eagerly.
Tsk tsk… but it’s really working.
What perfume is he wearing?
It smells like mint.
Mint-scented body wash?
Lu Chizhou caught him, and just as he was about to tease him, he suddenly noticed something wrong.
The body in his arms was burning hot.
“You have a fever?”
Lu Chizhou’s tone immediately turned anxious, his gaze sharpening.
Without hesitation, he picked Zhou Yijue up in a bridal carry and rushed outside, placing him into his car.
“Don’t move. I’ll take you to the hospital. You have a fever.”
Zhou Yijue, dizzy from alcohol and illness, felt his brain completely muddled.
“Who are you?”
“Lu Chizhou.”
“Who is Lu Chizhou?”
“The person you like,” Lu Chizhou said with a hint of pride, strangely pleased with the phrase.
“I like… him?”
Completely delirious, Zhou Yijue repeated it blankly, unable to think at all.
Lu Chizhou touched his forehead again—hotter than before—and quickly fastened his seatbelt, trying to calm his chaotic thoughts.
But just as he was about to sit back, Zhou Yijue suddenly grabbed him.
“Don’t go.”
Lu Chizhou looked at his flushed face and heard that soft, pleading voice—and his heart almost stopped.
This little enchantress is really something.
So cute… how is he supposed to let go?
But he couldn’t.
“You have a fever. I need to take you to the hospital. We’ll talk after you get better.”
“No… don’t go to the hospital…” Zhou Yijue begged softly. “Kiss me… kiss me…”
His voice was weak and soft from drunkenness and illness, carrying an unusual kind of allure.
Lu Chizhou felt a strange itch run through him, like feathers brushing his skin.
He almost couldn’t hold back—but just as Zhou Yijue leaned in, he used all his willpower to turn his head away at the last moment.
