After Transmigrating as the Abandoned Rich Wife O, I Turned the Scum A's Life into a Crematorium [Transmigration] - Chapter 25
Shen Siying’s lips lightly covered Gu Bei’s, tenderly embracing the person in her arms and sharing a fraction of her warmth.
Gu Bei wanted to push her away, but when she tremblingly reached out her hands and clawed about for a while, she missed her mark. Once her hands were seized again by the other woman, she couldn’t move an inch.
Gu Bei was truly going crazy.
She cried hysterically, but the person embracing her refused to let go, kissing her while gently patting her back. Through the haze, Gu Bei could only hear Shen Siying’s voice: “Bei Bei, be good.”
Her mind painfully wanted to refuse, but her thoughts had already flown to a distant place. Looking at the dim lights, she closed her eyes.
Their breaths overlapped, and their pheromones became intimately intertwined, lingering together for over an hour of moist, sticky closeness. This “battle” ended only after Shen Siying lifted Gu Bei’s long hair and bit into the little Omega’s gland with her sharp fangs, injecting her own pheromones.
After her mind went completely blank for a moment, Gu Bei’s vision gradually cleared. Her gland emitted a faint stinging pain—evidence left behind by Shen Siying’s selfless “cultivation.”
Just then, the sound of a key turning in the lock came from the door. In the silent room, the sound was practically deafening.
Gu Bei snapped awake, completely at a loss. Shen Siying quickly grabbed the oversized coat she had discarded and draped it over the small Omega in her arms, hiding her completely.
“Ahhh! Who are you? What are you doing in my house?” Su Xiaotang shrieked when she saw Shen Siying’s back.
Then, as Shen Siying turned her face slightly, Su Xiaotang froze for a long while before realizing the absurdity of the scene. With pheromones still swirling in the room, Su Xiaotang covered her nose and mouth, tactfully retreated, and closed the door to give them time to tidy up.
She pulled her baseball cap low and stood outside in the cold wind with her arms crossed. When the door opened again, Shen Siying glared at her. “Fine, you can come in now.”
Shen Siying’s gaze was colder than the wind. Su Xiaotang, thinking about the Alpha pheromones still inside, hesitated. “Maybe… I should stay out here?”
“Get in, boil some water, and cook a bowl of noodles.” Shen Siying’s face, devoid of further expression, held a dark intensity that brooked no argument.
Su Xiaotang wanted to say more but didn’t dare open her mouth. Upon entering, she found that all the windows on the balcony were open, and the cold wind had dispersed most of the pheromone scent. The red-faced Gu Bei had already been wrapped in Su Xiaotang’s duvet by Shen Siying.
The tiny Omega lifted her tear-brimmed eyes, looking piteously at Su Xiaotang. Su Xiaotang curled her lip, sighed, set her things down, and headed into the kitchen. A moment later, the kitchen light flickered on. Wearing her pink apron, Su Xiaotang looked like a mother home from work, carefully frying the toppings for her “baby girl’s” noodles.
Shen Siying smoked a cigarette outside and waited for the scent of smoke on her clothes to dissipate before returning inside. Gu Bei glanced at her and, in a fit of pique, turned her head away. Shen Siying sat down beside her; suddenly, the already small sofa felt even tighter.
Gu Bei clutched the duvet around her, wishing she could bury her head inside it. The two sat in silence for a while.
“Bei Bei,” Shen Siying looked at her. “Come back with me.”
Gu Bei wouldn’t even look at her. “No.”
Faced with Gu Bei’s determined attitude, Shen Siying didn’t get angry but said patiently again: “Bei Bei, I’ll change the driver, the van, the studio, the manager—anything you want, I can change.”
Gu Bei turned to stare into Shen Siying’s seemingly sincere eyes. “Can I change my Alpha?”
The smile Shen Siying had forced out froze on her face. Just when Gu Bei thought she was going to explode, she said gently: “No.”
The kitchen’s glass door slid open, and Su Xiaotang emerged carrying a wooden tray with two bowls, two pairs of chopsticks, and two spoons. She cleared her throat. “Noodles are ready. Eat while they’re hot. If it’s not enough, I’ll cook more.”
Being served by her own artist made Gu Bei feel a bit embarrassed. Just as she was about to crawl out of the duvet to help, she saw Shen Siying rise and take the bowl. She began blowing on Gu Bei’s portion in small breaths, breaking off a few strands of noodles with her chopsticks into a spoon, adding a bit of soup, and slowly bringing it to Gu Bei’s lips. “Ah, open up.”
The high-and-mighty Great President Shen is actually… feeding me??
Gu Bei tried to avoid it with a complicated expression. “What are you doing? This is so boring.”
Shen Siying spoke like she was coaxing a child: “Be good. Careful, it’s hot.”
Standing aside, Su Xiaotang felt several layers of goosebumps break out all over her body. Gu Bei had no choice but to open her mouth and take a bite. Before she could even swallow, Shen Siying brought another spoonful. “Good girl, one more bite.”
Su Xiaotang debated whether to stay and clear the dishes afterward; there was nowhere to hide. Gu Bei hadn’t fully recovered from what just happened and didn’t have much of an appetite. After a few bites, she really didn’t want any more, and Shen Siying stopped forcing her.
Gu Bei asked out of concern, “Was the shoot… smooth?”
Su Xiaotang sat down on the nearby beanbag chair and began scooting toward Gu Bei’s side. Shen Siying, who was sipping soup, suddenly stopped her movements and let out a sharp “Ahem,” glancing at Su Xiaotang out of the corner of her eye. The girl immediately kept her distance at a point where they could hear each other but not touch, not daring to get any closer.
Su Xiaotang craned her neck, her face full of gossip. “Do you know who came to be the ‘prop’ today?”
Gu Bei waited quietly for the tea.
“The winner of the last Grand Piano Competition, Xin Mengyao.”
The name was too loud and too grating; Gu Bei couldn’t help but hear it clearly. When Gu Bei told Su Xiaotang she was moving out of the Shen house, she hadn’t mentioned Xin Mengyao, so Su Xiaotang didn’t know the relationship between Xin Mengyao and the two people sitting there.
Upon hearing the name, Shen Siying’s eyebrow flickered once, but she immediately resumed her expressionless mask. Gu Bei, meanwhile, hoped Su Xiaotang wouldn’t say anything too shocking, or she’d have to find a way to shut her up.
“Do you know her? She’s incredibly beautiful, but, well, she seems a bit sick in the head,” Su Xiaotang said dramatically. “Do you know she…”
“Cough, cough, cough!” Before she could continue, Gu Bei cleared her throat loudly.
Su Xiaotang was someone who lacked social awareness. “What’s wrong? Throat uncomfortable?”
Gu Bei rolled her eyes mentally. All she wanted now was to get rid of Shen Siying.
Su Xiaotang continued: “She actually openly released her pheromones! She’s clearly already been marked, and her Alpha wasn’t even there. That makes her seem incredibly slutty!”
A shadow crossed Shen Siying’s face, turning even colder than when she was outside. If she were to exhale now, she might actually freeze Su Xiaotang.
Su Xiaotang sighed. “But I wasn’t attracted at all. You know, no Alpha can stand the smell of another Alpha’s pheromones!”
Hearing her insist on this point, someone who didn’t know better would think she was trying too hard to prove she was an Alpha. Shen Siying turned her head slightly to look at Su Xiaotang, her narrow eyes full of disdain as she crossed her arms. “You’re an Alpha?”
Su Xiaotang stared at Shen Siying in terror, as if a sore spot had been poked. “Of course! Genuine… and authentic!”
Gu Bei looked at Shen Siying, then at Su Xiaotang, caught between laughter and tears. “Why are you stuttering now?”
Su Xiaotang felt she couldn’t stay in the living room any longer; she got up and cleared the dishes. The remaining two looked at each other and fell into silence again.
Gu Bei still had a fire smoldering in her heart. She felt that if she didn’t speak up, she would suffocate. But when the words reached her lips, they turned into: “Su Xiaotang ordered a cake—is it still on the foyer cabinet?”
Shen Siying’s tense features softened. She uncrossed her arms. “Want to eat it? I’ll get it.”
Gu Bei said, still a bit unaccustomed to this, “Don’t be like this!”
“Like what?” Shen Siying asked.
Gu Bei turned her head toward Su Xiaotang, who was pretending to be busy in the kitchen. “You just used your pheromones on me.”
Shen Siying fell silent for a moment and reached out to grab Gu Bei’s hand. Gu Bei slapped it away. “Don’t touch me!”
Shen Siying withdrew her hand. Before she could speak, Gu Bei snapped: “You really are despicable.” Seeing no reaction from Shen Siying, Gu Bei asked: “You’ve known for a long time, haven’t you? About Xin Mengyao?”
Shen Siying’s expression remained flat. “About what?”
Gu Bei didn’t bother saying it again. She just wanted Shen Siying to disappear so she could take a shower and get a good night’s sleep. Shen Siying saw through her thoughts. “I didn’t know.”
Gu Bei was unwilling to believe her. Since Su Xiaotang had mentioned it, Gu Bei felt she finally understood the reality of that “commotion.” An Alpha cannot tolerate the scent of another Alpha’s pheromones. Since Xin Mengyao had already been marked by another Alpha, two possibilities lay before her:
Xin Mengyao was marked by Shen Siying. The fact that Shen Siying could still mark Gu Bei meant her mark on Xin Mengyao was only temporary. Whether in heat or not, Xin Mengyao needed the pheromones of other Alphas for comfort.
Xin Mengyao was marked by another Alpha. Even though Shen Siying loved her to death, she couldn’t accept it, so she used Gu Bei as a substitute for Xin Mengyao to relieve her physical needs.
Right now, the second possibility seemed much more likely. Gu Bei mocked herself: Abandoned yet still used as a substitute—this is as melodramatic as it gets.
“Aren’t you leaving?” Gu Bei issued a curt dismissal.
Shen Siying clearly had no intention of going. She opened the delivery box. The fresh cream cake had toppled over inside, with cream splattered everywhere. it looked unappealing, even a bit nauseating. Gu Bei glanced at it; even as a sweets addict, she couldn’t bring herself to look at it.
“Ah! My cake!” Su Xiaotang emerged from the kitchen, her hands still wet.
Gu Bei gave her a bitter smile and tried to comfort her awkwardly. “It’s my fault, I didn’t set it down steadily… but you can’t blame me, because you didn’t tell me your name was Su the Great Beauty!”
It was meant to be an apology, but it sounded hilariously ridiculous. Su Xiaotang flailed her hands and stamped her foot, the petal-edges of her princess dress fluttering—she looked adorable.
Shen Siying ignored Su Xiaotang and looked at Gu Bei. “If you want to eat, I’ll go buy one now.”
