The air on the mountaintop was fresh. Sunlight was broken by the dense forest into threads, falling over Gu Xin’s sleeping face and weaving into a mottled patch of brightness.

Anyone could see that even among a group of Alphas, her looks were considered superior. Little Ke unconsciously softened her breathing, afraid of waking Gu Xin.

Gu Xin had fought with an Alpha from the film crew whom no one knew. This was no secret within the research group. Little Ke had even thought Hua Ran would use this as a reason to send Gu Xin back.

Gu Xin was silent for a while before walking forward and calling to Hua Ran. “Give me one box.”

Hua Ran stopped and glanced at her, panting as she said, “What kind of joke are you telling?”
