After Being Coaxed And Seduced By A Yandere Omega Heartthrob - Chapter 3
She looked very innocent.
That was the first thought that popped into Song Zhao’s mind.
There was something strangely magical about Sylvia. No matter what she did, she somehow gave off an impression of pure harmlessness.
If anyone developed improper thoughts while facing her, then clearly that person was the one with an impure mind.
…Probably because of the “protagonist halo.”
Everything had happened too suddenly. Song Zhao had only been thinking about temporarily settling her onto the chaise lounge, so she hadn’t been able to take every detail into account.
Even though Sylvia sank into the soft pillows, the hair pinned at the back of her head still pressed uncomfortably against her.
The Omega’s long brows knitted slightly. Her misty blue eyes, already brimming with moisture, filled with even more tears like a rising tide.
In Song Zhao’s experience, white things tended to make people look darker.
That rule didn’t seem to apply to Sylvia at all.
Her cool silver hair only made her skin look even more creamy and translucent, like a handful of spring snow on the verge of melting. The corners of her reddened eyes tilted playfully upward, like hibiscus wet with dew.
Once they crossed beyond the normal distance for social interaction, the human eye naturally noticed more details.
For example, the tiny mole on Sylvia’s right eyelid.
It bloomed like a crimson wintersweet flower against snow, only to repeatedly disappear whenever she opened her eyes, swallowed by that ice-free-harbor shade of blue.
Song Zhao suddenly understood why cats were always drawn to flickering red dots.
Even she inexplicably felt the urge to reach out and gently touch it with her fingertip.
Song Zhao stared a little too long.
Her vision took in the beauty beneath her in full, her breathing unconsciously growing lighter while her gaze quietly traced Sylvia’s features.
Being attracted to beautiful things was human nature.
And right now, she was looking at the heartthrob protagonist whose beauty had been personally certified by the author.
Even if Song Zhao got a little starry-eyed, she wasn’t going to be too hard on herself.
But still…
“I’ll help you, Miss Syl.”
Song Zhao spoke as though making a promise.
Following her instincts, she wrapped her palm around the back of Sylvia’s hand.
It was still burning hot.
And even at this point, Sylvia showed absolutely no intention of letting go.
Song Zhao tugged gently.
Nothing moved.
Instead, her belt became even more precarious.
She forced out a smile.
Alphas and Omegas in this world really were troublesome. Once they entered one of their special periods, they became as unreasonable as spoiled little children.
“Could you let go of me first? If I don’t get your medicine soon, I’m worried your body won’t be able to take it.”
Sylvia’s brows remained furrowed, as though she were seriously considering which choice would make her feel better.
The rosy flush on her cheeks had yet to fade. Even the bridge of her nose was covered in a vivid rose-like color, yet that same flush breathed bright life back into her otherwise fragile, pale face.
After living in this world for ten years, Song Zhao knew that people in this state weren’t much different from being drunk.
She was already beginning to wonder whether Sylvia’s brain could even process what she had just said.
Just then, the Omega trapped between her and the mattress suddenly moved.
The already faint sounds around them seemed to disappear completely, and even her breathing stretched longer.
The moment Sylvia leaned toward her, time seemed to slow several times over.
As the halo of light spilled in, every detail became infinitely magnified, frame by frame—the fine pale down on the girl’s face, the sharper outline of her collarbones as she raised her head with effort.
That deadly rose fragrance grew even richer and more suggestive, winding around Song Zhao like vines until there was nowhere left to breathe.
By the time the tips of their noses were almost touching, all the blood in Song Zhao’s body seemed to rush above her chest.
It was as though it wanted to burst through her blood vessels and surge out through that atrophied, undeveloped gland just to answer Sylvia.
She instinctively drew her neck back a little, leaving a relatively safe distance between them.
But what she expected never happened.
Sylvia merely paused briefly because of her retreat.
Then she ignored Song Zhao altogether and messily removed the clips and elastics securing the hair at the back of her head.
Song Zhao had styled that hair for her before leaving for etiquette lessons.
After being tied up for so long, the previously long, straight strands had taken on a slight wave, spilling across the bed like a waterfall.
Song Zhao froze.
She couldn’t help looking into Sylvia’s eyes.
They were still every bit as innocent.
In fact, after being rejected again and again, they now looked a little aggrieved.
Clearly, this young lady—born into high society and surrounded by people eager to indulge and please her from childhood—had never been treated like this before.
Realizing she had overthought things, Song Zhao felt awkward too.
Only when the scorching heat against her palm burned her did she remember that she was still holding Sylvia’s hand.
Should she let go first?
Or keep fighting Sylvia for ownership of her belt?
Song Zhao maintained her grip to stop Sylvia from pulling at it and awkwardly shifted backward again, deciding she should at least get off the other woman first.
But to the helpless Omega, that movement looked like “abandonment.”
Already suffering through a false heat without pheromonal comfort, Sylvia grew even more anxious.
The spine supporting her seemed to collapse segment by segment. Her limbs turned weak and powerless, leaving her with no choice but to follow her instincts and grab anything she could reach as a new source of support.
Miss Rosy Octopus used up the last of her strength.
The seductive rose scent almost seemed to take physical form as she wrapped both arms and legs around Song Zhao’s body.
The hand that had been stubbornly clutching her belt finally let go, only to hook even more tightly around her neck.
The tugging at Song Zhao’s abdomen was replaced by two legs curling around her waist.
Sylvia clearly didn’t care whether this would wrinkle or ruin the gown that had cost a million tano at auction.
She simply clung to Song Zhao without restraint.
“You’re not allowed to leave.”
She rested her chin on Song Zhao’s shoulder.
Perhaps realizing that her tone had sounded a little fierce, she softened again into that gentle, sorrowful voice.
“Don’t leave me behind…”
Song Zhao had already realized that no matter how much she tried to reason with her, Sylvia in her current condition wouldn’t hear a word of it.
She gave up quickly.
With practiced acceptance, she slipped one forearm beneath Sylvia’s bottom, carefully supported the Omega’s back with her other hand, and lifted her whole body up.
This position was actually even more intimate than carrying her princess-style earlier.
And far worse.
The person in her arms was hot and soft, as though she might slowly melt against Song Zhao at any moment.
Song Zhao felt like a tree trunk that had been claimed by a koala, awkwardly and stiffly shuffling toward her destination.
Walking while carrying someone naturally caused some jostling.
Sylvia, who had already endured to her limit, could no longer hide it. Broken, tearful breaths sounded intermittently beside Song Zhao’s ear.
Mixed with warm exhalations, every single sound slipped directly into the ear wearing her hearing aid.
Something seemed to take root beneath Song Zhao’s skin.
A little itchy.
A little hot.
When they passed the full-length mirror, Song Zhao turned her head and glanced over.
Her gaze briefly met a face flushed bright red.
If she hadn’t been a Beta, Song Zhao might have thought her own special period had arrived too.
She quietly exhaled, adjusted her arms, and hoisted Sylvia back up when she started slipping downward.
“Excuse me—”
Perhaps Sylvia had been suffering for too long, or perhaps wrapping all four limbs around Song Zhao had exhausted the last of her strength.
Song Zhao could clearly feel the hold around her rapidly weakening.
She lightly patted Sylvia’s back as a reminder not to relax too much.
Even before speaking, she didn’t forget her manners.
“Please hold on a little tighter.”
Otherwise, she really was going to fall.
The facts proved that Sylvia could still understand at least some words.
Because after hearing that, she really did cling to Song Zhao more tightly, her crossed legs straining around Song Zhao’s waist for fear of falling.
But she also began trembling even harder than before.
The bedroom had floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows.
Servants cleaned them every week, leaving the glass so spotless it was practically invisible.
Song Zhao tilted her head slightly to watch her path and headed purposefully toward that side of the room.
Perhaps Sylvia noticed the shadows on the floor stretching longer.
The instant she realized where Song Zhao was going, all of her tightly wound nerves sounded an alarm.
Her hand, painted with nude-pink nail polish, clutched Song Zhao’s clothes hard enough for her fingertips to turn white.
“Song Zhao!”
She sounded on the verge of tears.
“Not by the window…”
“What?”
Song Zhao hadn’t understood her, but still patted her back soothingly.
“Don’t be scared. It’ll be over soon.”
Then she changed direction slightly and walked straight toward the temperature-controlled cabinet in the shadow beside the window.
That corner never received sunlight at any time of day, making it perfect for storing artificial pheromones.
In this world, Alphas and Omegas without partners generally relied on medication to get through their special periods.
The most common option on the market was something called a “suppressant.”
Colorless and odorless, it was categorized according to mental-strength rank. A single dose cost between twenty and three hundred tano, and after medical insurance reimbursement, any citizen of Ilota could afford it.
Artificial pheromones, however, were completely different.
If suppressants existed to completely strangle desire inside the body, artificial pheromones existed to let the heat spreading through every limb and bone fully release itself.
They were custom-synthesized to be highly compatible with the individual user.
Compared to conventional suppressants, they were more effective and carried none of the concern that frequent use would eventually build drug resistance.
Everything in this room had been designed around Sylvia’s needs.
The temperature-controlled cabinet storing the artificial pheromones was positioned at exactly the right height.
Even with her hands full and no ability to bend over properly, Song Zhao could still retrieve what she needed with ease.
Come to think of it, this was actually the first time she would be giving Sylvia an injection since officially taking over the job.
Although her sister had already taught her the technique, Song Zhao still couldn’t avoid getting nervous when she actually picked up that tiny vial of pale pink medication.
Not because she was afraid she couldn’t handle the situation.
But because that tiny vial alone was worth nearly half a year of her salary.
If her hand slipped and she broke it, she genuinely couldn’t afford to pay it back.
Artificial pheromones required strict storage conditions and were extremely expensive to manufacture.
When they first entered the market, they had even become a tool aristocrats used to compete over displays of wealth.
It wasn’t until researchers discovered that they carried some risk of addiction and classified them as controlled medication—limiting the amount each person could purchase every month and requiring someone else to be present to assist during use—that the craze for stockpiling them finally died down.
Song Zhao originally wanted to put Sylvia on the sofa.
Unfortunately, Sylvia refused to let go no matter what.
Helpless, Song Zhao could only temporarily become the Second Young Lady’s human cushion.
After a great deal of effort, she finally managed to get Sylvia sitting sideways across her lap.
Her upper body, however, still remained tightly wrapped around Song Zhao.
At this point, Song Zhao couldn’t afford to care.
The choking, tearful sounds beside her ear were steadily worsening.
If this kept up, respiratory alkalosis would probably arrive before Sylvia actually “couldn’t take it anymore.”
Song Zhao somewhat unceremoniously swept all of Sylvia’s silver hair aside, fully exposing the swollen, aching gland at the back of her neck.
She brought her index and middle fingers together slightly.
Her cool fingertips gently touched the side of Sylvia’s neck, tracing the gland’s outline in slow circles.
Sylvia was still trembling, but clearly felt much better than before.
Song Zhao quietly watched the flushed side of her face from the corner of her eye.
The moment Sylvia narrowed her eyes in relief, Song Zhao seized the opportunity and pushed the needle in without hesitation.
“Ah—!”
Artificial pheromones worked quickly.
The cool substance reacted with the Omega almost the instant it entered her body, melting into spreading warmth.
Sylvia reflexively arched her back.
The moment she realized what she had done, she immediately swallowed the altered sound back down and turned to glare at Song Zhao in irritation.
Whenever Song Lian gave her injections in the past, she always warned her first so she could prepare herself a little.
Who could have guessed Song Zhao would strike so suddenly?
She hadn’t even managed to hold herself back.
How humiliating…
Sylvia bit hard on her lower lip.
Comfort mixed with embarrassment surged through her mind in wave after wave, steaming her entire face hot.
In the end, even she could no longer tell whether she was flushed from anger or from how good she felt.
And Song Zhao didn’t even know enough to comfort her physically.
Like a complete blockhead, she turned her face aside and eventually just lowered her head to study the empty vial in her hand, turning it this way and that as though she were terribly busy.
Being ignored only made Sylvia angrier.
She opened her mouth in frustration and bit down on Song Zhao’s collarbone, using the warmth of Song Zhao’s skin to muffle the rest of her soft, broken sounds back into her throat.
“Hiss—”
The sudden pain made Song Zhao wince.
Even so, she forced herself to carefully place the empty vial beside her first so it wouldn’t fall and shatter against the floor.
Her palm loosely cupped the back of Sylvia’s head.
But she wasn’t trying to pull her away.
Only then did Song Zhao remember how she usually coaxed Sylvia in the middle of the night.
She gently stroked downward along the curve of her hair again and again, soothing her as carefully as one might smooth the fur of a distressed animal.
Until the medicine fully took effect and the Omega went limp in her arms.
All Song Zhao could smell was Sylvia’s warm, fragrant scent.
