After Being Coaxed And Seduced By A Yandere Omega Heartthrob - Chapter 5
Helping Sylvia bathe was very obviously not part of Song Zhao’s job description.
If it was, that would cost extra.
She carried Sylvia over and sat her down on the cool black ledge beside the bathtub, then fled the scene in a hurry, nearly tripping over her own feet badly enough to perform an early New Year’s bow.
Song Zhao firmly shut the frosted, semi-transparent shower door behind her, hurriedly grabbed the low stool beside the sink, and sat guard by the entrance like a sentry.
Her feet, however, felt as though they were on fire. She anxiously tapped them against the floor, restless and unable to stop.
The cool-toned rose fragrance inside the bathroom slowly drifted out, only adding fuel to the chaos in her head. It felt as though Sylvia’s sweet breath was still lingering against the ear wearing her hearing aid. Heat crawled out from beneath her skin, itching so badly that she wanted to scratch at it.
After a while, Song Zhao finally decided to step outside for some air and retrieve her phone while she was at it.
Her attempt at getting some air didn’t last long.
The moment she unplugged her phone from the charger, it was basically over.
Her knuckle hovered over the screen, then instinctively tapped into WeChat. Without the slightest hesitation, Song Zhao opened her sister’s pinned chat and fired off a string of exclamation marks like she was blowing bubbles.
Song Lian had already finished work at this hour and replied almost instantly.
[What happened?]
Then she asked:
[How is Miss Sylvia feeling? I heard she didn’t attend the Eldest Young Lady’s birthday banquet tonight?]
After differentiating, Song Lian had transferred from personal maid to one of the many ordinary servants in the manor. Out of consideration for her many years of service, her salary remained unchanged, but she no longer qualified to attend this kind of banquet, so all the information she received was secondhand.
Song Zhao instinctively skipped over Yalos’s involvement and simply told her that Sylvia had entered a false heat.
Typing with one hand, she quietly shut the bathroom door after stepping back inside. Without even looking, she accurately found the stool and sat down.
The moment she settled herself, she finished typing the question she most wanted answered.
[Do Omegas in a false heat crave hugs?]
Seeing the “The other person is typing…” message linger for slightly longer than usual, Song Zhao guiltily looked up toward the bathtub, then dropped another bomb.
[Sylvia hugged me twice today. Did you two used to do that too? You never told me before I started that this job included stuff like this?]
Even when coaxing Sylvia to sleep at night, Song Zhao usually only had to sit beside the bed and pat her back.
If Sylvia woke from a nightmare, Song Zhao would stay nearby like a lucky charm, give her some water, then chat with her to distract her.
That was all.
The elegant fragrance of white roses grew even more tempting as it was warmed by the bathwater. As time passed, it drifted more and more brazenly through the crack beneath the door and wrapped itself around Song Zhao.
If she listened carefully, she could even hear the soft splashing of arms moving through the bathwater.
She had waited in this exact spot once a few days ago, but back then, Song Zhao hadn’t felt embarrassed at all.
After all, they had the same basic anatomy.
Even if Sylvia someday called her inside to help scrub her back, it wouldn’t exactly be a big deal.
But now…
Song Zhao felt that she had been thinking about it far too simply.
The fragrance identical to Sylvia’s own scent, together with the crisp sound of water, made every tiny detail around her serve as a reminder:
Just beyond that single door was another bare body, completely exposed.
This was really…
Song Zhao desperately wanted to turn off her hearing aid, but she was worried she wouldn’t hear Sylvia if she called for her later.
Her long lashes trembled in indecision.
She stared at the glass door until she had calmed down somewhat, then finally lowered her gaze back to the screen.
Song Lian replied with voice messages, usually splitting a single thought across several recordings.
[Of course. Even after using medication, Alphas and Omegas in their special periods still crave physical contact. If they really try, they can usually endure it, but if they can’t hold back, then there’s nothing I can do about that.]
[But the exact reaction depends on what triggered the false heat. Emotional agitation, being frightened, exposure to highly compatible pheromones, even overdosing on suppressants—each one can cause different symptoms. Wait, didn’t I send you study materials? You brat, you didn’t read them again, did you?!]
Caught red-handed, Song Zhao shrank her neck and converted the third voice message into text.
[Wait. You just said Miss hugged you? That can’t be right. I took care of her for so many years and she never hugged me.]
Even without hearing her tone, Song Zhao could practically read the surprise and grievance between the lines.
Song Lian had more than a bit of a sister complex, and she also distributed some of that indulgence toward Sylvia, whom she had watched grow up.
Song Zhao’s brain uncontrollably replayed how clingy the Omega had been not long ago.
That warm embrace.
Those slightly cool strands of hair.
The breaths that had brushed her neck almost like kisses.
At the thought, the heat gathering at the roots of her ears made even her fingers tremble as she typed:
“Then when she used to go through heat before, how did you help her?”
Would she look at you with those damp eyes too?
Would she pitifully hook her fingers into your clothes and cling to you, asking you to help her?
Song Zhao, after all, wasn’t her sister, who had accompanied Sylvia for more than ten years. She couldn’t handle everything with the same easy familiarity yet.
There was far too much about Sylvia that she still didn’t understand.
Truthfully, Song Zhao was beginning to regret not paying proper attention during Song Lian’s “experience-sharing” lessons.
Suddenly, a clearer splash came from behind the glass door, as though Sylvia had disturbed the water while climbing out of the tub.
Wet skin brushed through the air, and still-warm droplets fell back into the bath like rain.
Song Zhao reflexively stared at that semi-transparent door.
For the first time, she felt that this whole wet-and-dry separation design might not actually be such a good idea.
If not for the faint silhouette visible through the glass, Sylvia would probably have sent her outside by now instead of leaving her sitting here letting her imagination run wild.
A foot touched the floor.
The silhouette moved closer.
For one terrifying instant, Song Zhao almost thought Sylvia had forgotten she was there and was about to walk straight out naked.
Her heart nearly leapt into her throat.
Fortunately, the Omega merely walked beneath the showerhead, turned on the water, and slowly ran her fingers across her skin, carefully rinsing away the slippery residue left by the bath bomb.
Her long arm lifted and lowered, like the proud neck of a white swan rising high, then stretching softly as though in dance.
Song Zhao suddenly remembered that Sylvia had studied ballet.
If her stamina hadn’t worsened after differentiation, and if she hadn’t been injured before the competition, then with her talent and dedication, it would only have been a matter of time before she reached an international stage.
The phone in Song Zhao’s palm vibrated again.
Snapping back to herself, she moved her finger—and accidentally played Song Lian’s voice message aloud.
The slightly distorted yet still recognizable voice abruptly sounded in the bathroom.
Song Lian had probably been drinking. Her mildly tipsy voice was lazy and loose.
“Sylvi—”
Before she could finish, Song Zhao frantically cut it off.
Her brown eyes darted guiltily toward the shower.
The figure behind the door paused for a moment, then quickly resumed what she had been doing.
Song Zhao lowered her gaze and glared at the voice message that had nearly gotten her killed.
[Doesn’t Miss have that carrot plush on her bed? She hugs it before and after injecting artificial pheromones.]
Carrot?
Song Zhao froze for a moment.
Then a nearly one-and-a-half-meter-long carrot pillow appeared in her mind.
She and Song Lian had picked it out as Sylvia’s birthday present several years ago.
Long, skinny black arms extended from both sides of the carrot, each ending in a “hand.” It was electric; once switched on, it could automatically hug someone and pat their back.
This morning, Song Zhao had noticed the weather was nice and deliberately carried the carrot out onto the balcony to sun it.
Then she got too busy and forgot all about it.
So…
Had Sylvia hugged her because the carrot wasn’t there?
Song Zhao instinctively glanced behind herself and decided that once Sylvia finished bathing, she would go to the balcony and harvest the carrot.
The pattering sound of water inside gradually weakened, then finally stopped.
Song Zhao looked up.
The pale silhouette bent down. A moment later, a white robe appeared in Sylvia’s hands.
Her fingers pinched the soft fabric as she slipped her arms into the sleeves one at a time.
As though burned by something, Song Zhao hurriedly turned her face away.
Her gaze met her own flushed cheeks in the mirror.
Probably because the steam was too hot.
She swallowed, raised her hands, and patted her cheeks, attempting to cool herself down through sheer physical force.
And so, when Sylvia came out, that was the scene she saw.
Standing opposite her, Song Zhao had narrowed her eyes and was lightly smacking her own cheeks—pia pia—while the hair tied casually at the back of her head bounced like a spring.
It was strangely cute.
A fleeting smile flashed through the Omega’s eyes.
She leaned against the doorway and watched Song Zhao with interest, suddenly curious how long it would take for her to notice.
The answer was five blinks.
Feeling the heat on her cheeks gradually subside—and deciding that even if she was still red, she could claim she had slapped herself red—Song Zhao finally looked up.
Her eyes met Sylvia’s expressionless face.
For a moment, she nearly forgot how to breathe.
When people were embarrassed, they suddenly became extremely busy.
Especially someone like Song Zhao, who knew she had a guilty conscience.
She pretended naturally to rearrange all the bottles and jars beside the sink, then acted as though she had only just noticed Sylvia and put on a stiff expression of surprise.
Very quickly, she composed herself and asked in a serious, courteous tone,
“Miss Syl, do you need me to carry you out?”
Sylvia lifted her brows slightly and quietly corrected her.
“I told you. When it’s only the two of us, you don’t need to call me ‘Miss.’”
Her voice was like pale porcelain soaking in warm water—languid and faintly fragile—while the subtle upward curl at the end added a touch of lively sweetness.
Song Zhao saw Sylvia lift one leg slightly toward her.
Her gaze instinctively traveled upward from Sylvia’s neatly rounded toes coated with clear nail polish, passing over her long legs still dotted with droplets, until they disappeared beneath the overlapping folds of the bathrobe.
The skin around Sylvia’s knees had turned peach-pink from the slightly hot bathwater.
Bright and tender.
Like a ripe peach waiting to be picked.
Song Zhao remembered that after bathing, Sylvia only wore a bathrobe until she finished applying body lotion, then changed into pajamas afterward…
Her brain crashed for a second.
A moment later, Sylvia reminded her,
“Can you get me those slippers?”
Because Song Zhao had personally carried her into the bathroom earlier, Sylvia’s feet had never touched the floor.
She hadn’t brought shoes in at all.
Realizing this, Song Zhao immediately crouched down and picked up the slippers beside the stool without hesitation.
She had no idea what possessed her.
In a moment of mental overheating, she simply leaned forward and put them on Sylvia herself.
The person standing above her was also caught off guard and nearly lost her balance.
But the aristocratic young lady, who had been served by others since childhood, instinctively reached out and lightly rested a hand on Song Zhao’s shoulder.
Her previously even breathing briefly deepened.
…Anyone who didn’t know better might think Song Zhao was putting a glass slipper on Cinderella.
Meanwhile, kneeling on one knee, Song Zhao didn’t dare lift her head at all.
From this dangerous angle, she was terrified of seeing something she absolutely should not see.
She gritted her teeth and finished putting on the other slipper.
Then she stayed in that position, waiting for Sylvia to leave.
But things didn’t develop the way she expected.
The soft hand slowly withdrew from her shoulder, taking its warmth with it.
“Aren’t you getting up?”
Song Zhao paused.
Then obediently stood with her eyes closed.
She was a few centimeters taller than Sylvia.
Usually, the difference wasn’t very noticeable from a distance, but standing this close, Sylvia could only look directly into her eyes by lifting her chin.
The Omega’s jawline tightened slightly, exposing a pale stretch of neck bright enough to catch the eye.
Song Zhao’s dark brown eyes blinked.
Without much hesitation, she obediently lowered herself a little.
The moment she moved, those beautiful misty blue eyes followed her.
Long, thick lashes lowered, casting a thin shadow and fully revealing that vivid red mole.
Eye level.
Even slightly looking down.
Sylvia saw herself reflected in Song Zhao’s bright, clear eyes.
Her lips moved.
Her mind went blank.
Whatever she had originally wanted to say vanished completely.
“Take your bath here tonight. Don’t go back. Walking back and forth is troublesome.”
Almost throwing the words at Song Zhao, Sylvia turned around and left.
The strands of silver hair that had slipped down beside her face conveniently hid the redness blooming at the tips of her ears.
