After Being Coaxed And Seduced By A Yandere Omega Heartthrob - Chapter 9
The gazes that had only been sneaking glances before now became even more blatant. The instant Sylvia linked her arm through Song Zhao’s, countless eyes sharpened.
Yet the culprit acted as though she knew nothing at all, walking calmly forward on her own. Her face was rosy, a smile resting at the corners of her lips, bright and lovely like a soft breeze carrying fragrance.
Though she really was soft.
As if afraid Song Zhao might flee at the last second, Sylvia wore an easy smile on the surface, but the arm hooked around Song Zhao’s was secretly tightening.
The last semblance of personal distance completely disappeared. Song Zhao’s naturally lowered arm felt something soft pressing against it.
The moment she realized what it probably was, the tips of her ears turned red in a very unpromising fashion.
“S-Syl?”
Song Zhao turned her head and nervously called her name, trying to remind this innocent, pure-hearted heroine to mind the distance between them.
Unfortunately, Sylvia seemed to have no idea what she meant. She merely gave Song Zhao a clear-eyed smile.
“Hmm?”
…Which only made Song Zhao look like the one with dirty thoughts.
She swallowed what she had been about to say and followed Sylvia with the grim resolve of someone marching toward death.
At the same time, Saint Drian Academy’s anonymous forum had already exploded.
Someone had secretly photographed the two of them together at the school gate and uploaded the picture. In just a few short minutes, the comments had already surpassed a hundred replies.
[Floor 1: Which family is she from? I’ve never seen her before.]
[Floor 2: I’m a player who keeps my eyes closed the whole game, so I’ve got no information. Waiting for the Seer to check her identity. Pass.]
[Floor 3: Could she be that Zhao-something girl? The timing of her appearance is pretty coincidental.]
[Floor 4: Maybe a distant relative? Speaking of which, that girl looks Eastern, right? She looks kind of like President Xie. Could they know each other?]
[Floor 6: If you’re face-blind, go get it treated, okay? Other than both being women with black hair and dark eyes, what do they even have in common? Compare some random nobody to Xie Xianzhou again and I’ll kill you!!]
[Floor 7: Forget everything else, they seriously look like a couple. Anyway, this is the first time I’ve seen Sylvia act this close to anyone.]
[Floor 8: Found her. This person is Song Zhao, a new transfer student. Her standardized exam results last semester were actually in the top 5% of Ilota! Is she a specially admitted student?]
[Floor 9: Heh, she’s just some stinking companion student. What does she have to be arrogant about? You can practically smell the poverty on her.
And she even went to school in the Lower District when she was little. People who come from places like that always have sticky fingers, don’t they? Maybe that top-five-percent score came from using some filthy trick to steal the answers.]

Sylvia silently put her phone back into her pocket, her shoulder almost touching Song Zhao’s.
After entering the school gates, she no longer walked arm in arm with Song Zhao, but she still stayed right beside her. The distance between them was far too close to fit the “master-servant rules” Song Lian had taught her.
Song Zhao had every reason to suspect that if her sister found out, she would immediately let out another piercing shriek and accuse her of forgetting her place.
At the thought of that chaotic scene, Song Zhao couldn’t hold it in and let out a quiet laugh.
Sylvia glanced at her, then quickly returned her attention to the path ahead.
“What are you laughing at?”
“Nothing. I just remembered something funny.”
Song Zhao pressed her lips together, but the amusement still leaked from her eyes.
A relaxed atmosphere always made conversation flow more easily.
Song Zhao wanted to use the opportunity to ask Sylvia why she had done that at the school gate.
But the carefully prepared question somehow turned into something entirely different the instant it left her mouth.
“Did you suddenly put your arm around mine earlier because your elbow got sore from sleeping on it last night?”
Sylvia’s steps halted.
She turned toward Song Zhao with a strange expression.
And Song Zhao, of all people, still looked completely clueless. Those spotless eyes of hers glowed a beautiful amber beneath the bright sunlight, clear and sincere as she waited for an answer.
How was Sylvia supposed to explain?
Tell her that the waters of an aristocratic academy were too deep for her to handle?
That if Sylvia didn’t openly show she was on Song Zhao’s side, everyone would simply treat her like an ordinary maid and look down on her?
That wouldn’t do.
Song Zhao was Sister Song Lian’s biological younger sister. She was someone her mother had arranged for Sylvia personally.
She had arrived here whole and unharmed, so no matter what, Sylvia had to bring her back the same way.
And besides…
If she gave Song Zhao a little sweetness now, perhaps there would be times in the future when she needed to ask her for “help” again.
So Sylvia told her very seriously,
“That’s right.”
Song Zhao asked cautiously, “Did I crush your arm?”
Sylvia didn’t answer directly.
Instead, with an encouraging air, she generously “forgave” her.
“It’s fine. Just pay more attention next time.”
“Huh? There’s going to be a next time…?”
Sylvia gave her the faintest smile, then turned her gaze away.
The expression on her face gradually cooled.
The lingering loss of control she had felt after entering a “plot point” had yet to disappear.
Even the slightest recollection brought back that panic and helplessness like willow branches whipped down by the wind, leaving her unable to breathe—and too afraid to even try.
The Omega lowered her lashes, concealing all the turmoil inside.
Very quickly, she became once again the gentle, pure aristocratic young lady from the “original novel,” someone deserving of everyone’s affection.
But beneath all those blazing feelings directed toward her, how much of it truly existed because of who she was?
And how much existed only because the “plot” required it?
Sylvia suppressed the irritation in her heart and pulled Song Zhao onto one of the school’s shuttle carts.
The sunlight was perfect, and everything around them overflowed with vivid life.
As always, people passing by looked at her either openly or in secret.
The familiar amazement and longing appeared plainly on their faces.
But Sylvia felt almost no warmth from any of it.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Song Zhao secretly glance at her before turning thoughtfully toward the window, apparently lost in some unknown train of thought.
Sylvia’s misty blue eyes instinctively followed her.
Then she saw Song Zhao silently shift a little farther forward in her seat.
Her slender back stood straight as a poplar tree, and the patches of sunlight filtering into the vehicle fell across her face, softening its sharp lines.
Song Zhao’s shadow stretched diagonally across Sylvia.
Instinctively, Sylvia wanted to shield her from all those covetous gazes.
