After Transmigrating as the Villain Alpha, I Marked the Reborn Supporting Female Omega (GL) - Chapter 20.1
Liang Xue’s 18th birthday celebration had many classmates invited to help her celebrate, and figures occasionally moved within the Liang family’s courtyard.
Inside the car, it was quiet enough to hear breathing.
Qin Qin’s heart was pounding; the pressure started lightly and intensified, spiraling around a peak and causing a shiver.
“Ah!” Qin Qin finally couldn’t help but cry out, her eyes glistening with moisture and her eye sockets reddened.
She wanted to cry.
Liang Manqing timely switched off the device, leaned over, and unbuckled Qin Qin’s seatbelt: “Exactly two minutes.”
Qin Qin stared at Liang Manqing with red eyes and seriously emphasized: “I am not two minutes.”
The Omega’s serious look while correcting her was truly adorable, and Liang Manqing couldn’t help wanting to tease her. Her warm lips brushed past Qin Qin’s ear as she softly hummed, “I was just teasing you.”
A tingling sensation around her ear spread to her heart. Qin Qin was utterly flustered; her heat was approaching, and she would be flooded in less than two minutes.
Liang Manqing got out of the car, retrieved the gifts from the trunk, and when she walked around to the passenger side, she saw Qin Qin still sitting inside. She opened the door: “Why aren’t you getting out? Liang Xue is already back.”
Qin Qin couldn’t move her legs; the slightest movement brought a wave of heat: “You go first. I’ll be there in a moment.”
Liang Manqing gave Qin Qin a deep look: “What’s wrong? Are you angry?”
Qin Qin didn’t deny it, reaching out to close the car door: “I don’t want to talk to you.”
Liang Manqing realized she had gone too far. After getting home, she sent Qin Qin a text message apology: “I’m sorry, Qin Qin, don’t be mad. You can do anything you want to me from now on, I’ll listen to you.”
Qin Qin received the message and immediately replied: “Then you just wait for me.”
Liang Manqing couldn’t help but laugh when she saw the message: “Don’t disappoint me now.”
Qin Qin got out of the car, tidied the seat, went back to her room to change clothes, and then headed downstairs.
The lights were turned off, a birthday song played, and Liang Xue made a wish amidst the blessings.
After the candles were blown out, the classmates burst into excitement, and colorful streamers flew all over the courtyard.
Liang Manqing watched them play, and Qin Qin’s eyes held a hint of envy.
Liang Xue cut a piece of cake and ran over, her face smeared like a little cat: “Teacher Qin, have some cake, it’s really delicious.”
The small, cute strawberry cake looked fresh and delicious.
Qin Qin took a sweet bite: “It really is delicious.”
Liang Manqing pretended to be angry: “Why didn’t you give me any, Liang Xue? Are you playing favorites?”
Liang Xue stuck out her tongue: “Because your gift was so insincere. Who gives an Alpha inhibitor as a birthday present?”
Liang Manqing told Liang Xue: “Carrying an inhibitor with you is the first lesson you should learn as an Alpha. What’s wrong with me teaching you that?”
Liang Xue wrinkled her small nose: “Such a lecturer. I’m going to play now.”
The child quickly ran off, leaving Liang Manqing feeling slighted.
Qin Qin couldn’t help but laugh: “I told you not to give that.”
Liang Manqing looked at the cake in Qin Qin’s hand: “Is it really that good? I haven’t tried it yet.”
Qin Qin brought the strawberry cake close to Liang Manqing’s lips: “Want a bite?”
Just as Liang Manqing was about to open her mouth, Qin Qin deliberately pulled it away: “It’s all mine.”
The Omega’s expression was playful. Liang Manqing rarely saw Qin Qin like this and let out a soft laugh: “Childish.”
Qin Qin bit off the strawberry on the cake, the sweet, refreshing taste filling her mouth. She smiled contentedly.
Liang Manqing thought Qin Qin seemed to really like strawberry cake.
Not long after, Liang Manqing’s phone buzzed. It was a message from Yu Zhiting.
Liang Manqing told Qin Qin: “I’m going out to meet someone.”
Soon after, three people walked over together.
Besides Yu Zhiting, her niece Yu Manman was with her.
Yu Zhiting said apologetically: “Miss Liang, the last incident was unpleasant. Yu Manman knows she was wrong, and she specifically came today to celebrate Liang Xue’s birthday.”
Yu Manman pouted, holding the gift: “Auntie, you made me come…”
Yu Zhiting covered her mouth: “Go inside and give the gift to Liang Xue.”
Yu Manman curled her lip: “Oh.”
Liang Manqing could see that Yu Manman didn’t want to come; Yu Zhiting had forced her.
Liang Manqing was polite but distant: “The last incident is over. Miss Yu doesn’t need to keep dwelling on it.”
Yu Zhiting felt Liang Manqing’s coolness, and the smile on her face faded. Just then, a sound of glass shattering echoed at the birthday party.
Glass shards sprayed everywhere, and Liang Xue fell to the ground, her palm pierced by glass fragments, with blood flowing out.
The classmates were in a panic.
Yu Manman watched with a cold eye: “You all saw it. The milk bottle burst on its own.”
In the urgent moment, Qin Qin pushed Yu Manman aside and rushed forward to check on Liang Xue.
Liang Xue’s hands were trembling, and tears of fear streamed down: “It hurts so much.”
“Don’t move, don’t move.” As Qin Qin was at a loss, Liang Manqing picked up Liang Xue and hurried out: “To the hospital.”
Yu Zhiting glanced at Yu Manman and instantly understood everything—Yu Manman was causing trouble again.
Qin Qin quickly followed, opened the car door for Liang Manqing, and sat in the back seat, holding Liang Xue: “Don’t be afraid, we’ll be at the hospital soon.”
Yu Zhiting drove behind them, giving Yu Manman a cold look the entire way.
The doctor said Liang Xue’s condition was urgent and required immediate surgery.
Liang Manqing’s chest tightened. She stroked Liang Xue’s forehead and comforted her: “I’ll wait for you outside. Don’t be afraid.”
Liang Xue was wheeled into the operating room. Liang Manqing slumped onto a chair, blaming herself: “I didn’t take good care of Liang Xue. Her hand…”
Qin Qin calmly recalled the event: “It’s not your fault.”
Qin Qin was very close then, and she personally saw Yu Manman take a glass bottle of milk from the gift bag, shake it, and then tell Liang Xue to open it.
Yu Manman quickly backed away, and a few seconds later, the glass exploded in Liang Xue’s hand.
The force wasn’t strong, but it was enough to injure Liang Xue. It was clearly premeditated by Yu Manman.
Yu Zhiting waited only in the hospital corridor and didn’t go in. She was too ashamed to face Liang Manqing now. Angrily, she raised her hand and slapped Yu Manman.
The slap echoed through the corridor. Yu Manman covered her face and cried out: “Why are you hitting me?”
Yu Zhiting said sarcastically: “I shouldn’t have brought you here today.”
Liang Manqing and Qin Qin noticed the commotion and looked over. Yu Zhiting didn’t want to avoid the issue, so she dragged Yu Manman to apologize.
Yu Manman cried, refusing: “What does it have to do with me?”
Liang Manqing felt annoyed: “Quiet down. We’ll talk after Liang Xue comes out. Besides, this can’t be solved with just an apology. I need to know exactly what happened.”
Yu Zhiting had never seen Liang Manqing so cold. She was usually distant, but now Yu Zhiting saw pure disgust in Liang Manqing’s eyes.
Yu Zhiting fiercely squeezed Yu Manman’s wrist, wanting to crush it.
Four hours later, close to three in the morning, the surgery was over.
When Liang Manqing and Qin Qin heard the doctor say the surgery was successful, the heavy weight in their hearts finally lifted.
Liang Xue was moved to the special care ward and was being looked after by nurses. Visitors were not allowed right now.
Yu Manman yawned: “Auntie, can we go now? I’m so sleepy.”
Yu Zhiting didn’t speak. Qin Qin spoke first: “I’m afraid not. I’ve already called the police. We’ll wait until they’ve investigated everything.”
Yu Manman was shocked into wakefulness: “Why are you calling the police on me? I haven’t even settled the score with you for pushing me!”
“Fine, we’ll settle everything when the police arrive.” Qin Qin couldn’t be bothered to reason with an unruly child.
“I’ll tell the police officer that you, an adult, are bullying a child,” Yu Manman said, pointing a finger at Qin Qin.
Liang Manqing stepped in front of Qin Qin, her cold eyes fixed on Yu Manman, radiating intense deterrence.
Yu Manman tremblingly withdrew her hand.
Yu Zhiting watched Liang Manqing shield Qin Qin, and her heart felt increasingly sour.
After the police arrived, they asked about the origin of the milk bottle. Yu Manman was defiant at first but finally admitted that the milk bottle had exploded after being left out in high heat and shaken.
Yu Manman had been harboring resentment over having to apologize in front of the whole school last time. She felt humiliated and was determined to get revenge on Liang Xue.
Unexpectedly, Yu Zhiting bringing Yu Manman to Liang Xue’s birthday had inadvertently facilitated Yu Manman’s revenge.
As Yu Manman’s guardian, Yu Zhiting bore inescapable responsibility.
The police officer said: “We can only draw a conclusion after the victim’s injuries have been assessed. Since Yu Manman is already an adult, she is responsible for her actions. She needs to come with us now.”
Hearing that the police were taking her away, Yu Manman cried and begged Yu Zhiting for help: “Auntie, I was wrong, I don’t want to be arrested, save me!”
Yu Zhiting pried her hands away: “I can’t save you this time.”
