The Black Lotus Stole The White Moonlight [Rebirth] - Chapter 7
Bai An’an had made her home in the Demon Realm, a place where strength had reigned supreme since ancient times.
So how had she survived before she became powerful enough to establish herself?
Naturally, she had cast aside her useless pride, recognized reality, and immediately surrendered whenever necessary.
Perhaps teasing Mu Tianyin had gone so smoothly lately that Bai An’an had let down her guard somewhat.
Even though Mu Tianyin was currently gripping her neck, however, Bai An’an was not worried in the slightest.
If Mu Tianyin truly intended to kill her, would she really resort to fighting her physically?
At Mu Tianyin’s cultivation level, she could simply send a surge of spiritual energy at Bai An’an and kill her on the spot.
The fingers around her neck were only loosely holding her, proving that Mu Tianyin had no intention of taking her life.
She was merely trying to frighten Bai An’an into telling the truth.
Bai An’an understood this perfectly, but she still made herself appear thoroughly terrified. Gazing at Mu Tianyin with miserable unease, she said pitifully, “Senior Sister, if you’re dissatisfied with An’an’s service, then it doesn’t matter if you kill me.”
“Without Senior Sister, I probably would have died in the servant quarters long ago.”
Her eyes turned red, tears gathering on her lashes. “So An’an’s life belongs to Senior Sister.”
“Why have you repeatedly toyed with me?” Mu Tianyin ignored her explanation and questioned her coldly.
This was already the third time.
The previous two incidents could barely be dismissed as nothing more than two seductive dreams.
But this time, Mu Tianyin had only just closed her eyes. How had she immediately fallen into another dream?
The woman with the Profound Yin bloodline had died only a month ago, so the Bai An’an before her naturally could not be that woman’s reincarnation.
However, considering their similar appearances, Mu Tianyin had no choice but to suspect that the two were somehow connected.
“Toyed with you?” Bai An’an tilted her head and assumed a puzzled expression. “Senior Sister, what are you talking about? An’an doesn’t understand.”
“Wasn’t that…what Senior Sister desired in her heart?”
Her moist almond-shaped eyes gazed at Mu Tianyin, completely unafraid of her cold expression. Lowering her voice into a sweet murmur, she continued, “As the saying goes, what one thinks about during the day becomes what one dreams about at night.”
“Senior Sister dreamed about me because you like me.”
“Utter nonsense!” Mu Tianyin declared firmly. Narrowing her eyes, she frowned deeply at Bai An’an. “What exactly is your objective?”
Bai An’an tentatively extended her hand and rested her long, slender fingers against Mu Tianyin’s wrist.
Like the rest of her, Mu Tianyin’s hand was slender and pale, resembling the finest white jade. Bai An’an lightly gripped her wrist and moved her hand aside.
Mu Tianyin had not used any force. She merely lowered her eyes to watch Bai An’an’s hand and allowed herself to be pushed away.
She raised her gaze and carefully examined Bai An’an’s gorgeous face. Then, remembering the ordinary face she currently wore, Mu Tianyin decided that the young woman was unlikely to be interested in her appearance.
Mu Tianyin did not understand these matters very deeply, nor did she have any particular preference regarding other people’s looks.
However, she still possessed some basic awareness.
At the very least, she knew that both her true appearance and the face of the young woman before her were exceptionally rare.
If Mu Tianyin were showing her true face, it would make sense to say that the young woman coveted her beauty.
But her current features were plain and unremarkable.
Therefore, this young woman had to be pursuing some other objective.
“Senior Sister, let An’an serve you without stopping me, and I’ll tell you what my objective is.”
At those words, Mu Tianyin immediately raised her brows and stared intently at her.
Bai An’an took her hand and looked down at their joined fingers before suddenly interlacing them with her own.
Mu Tianyin was sitting on the bed. Rather than wasting any effort, Bai An’an simply sat directly on her lap.
The sudden warmth of another person settling into her embrace made Mu Tianyin freeze.
She lowered her eyes to the young woman in her arms and saw Bai An’an gazing at her joyfully, her little face flushed.
There was something familiar about that expression.
That was right. In Song Qiyu’s memories, Mu Tianyin had seen the other young woman look at Song Qiyu in exactly the same way, her eyes sparkling as though filled with stars.
Mu Tianyin endured her physical discomfort, determined to see exactly what the young woman intended to do.
Seeing Mu Tianyin merely watching her in silence as though tacitly granting permission, Bai An’an’s lips curved upward.
She lifted her arms, wrapped them around Mu Tianyin’s neck, and pulled her closer.
Their pale faces slowly drew together. As Mu Tianyin stared at the face mere inches from her own, her eyelashes trembled slightly.
Moonlight was at its brightest, streaming through the window as though draping a thin veil of silver over them.
Their lips met without obstruction, their warm breaths mingling.
Watching Bai An’an close her eyes, her lashes trembling, Mu Tianyin became completely motionless.
Mu Tianyin’s lips were cold, but the young woman’s were so warm and soft that one could not help longing for more.
Bai An’an only pressed their lips lightly together without going any further. Her eyelashes fluttered rapidly, betraying that she was supposedly just as nervous.
Naturally, she had a reason for pretending to be inexperienced.
Consider someone as righteous as Mu Tianyin: would she be more inclined to cherish an experienced demoness who had sailed through countless romantic encounters, or a pitiful woman who had fallen into the mire yet somehow retained her purity?
Bai An’an slid one hand down Mu Tianyin’s neck. Curling her fingers into a fist, she rested it against Mu Tianyin’s chest.
Mu Tianyin truly seemed carved from jade. Her entire body was unbearably cold.
Sitting in her arms felt like sitting on a block of ice.
Aside from that minor discomfort, Bai An’an was extremely satisfied with Mu Tianyin’s body.
She drew back slightly, a faint pink flush spreading across her little face as she gazed at Mu Tianyin with glistening eyes.
Today, she had finally experienced what it meant for someone to be fragrant and soft.
If Mu Tianyin had not been staring down at her expressionlessly, Bai An’an would have smacked her lips to savor the experience.
“Senior Sister, did you like it?”
Leaning in Mu Tianyin’s embrace, Bai An’an gazed at her infatuatedly. She raised one arm, causing the sleeve of her green robe to fall away and reveal her slender, pale forearm.
Her frame was small, and she had yet to reach her full height, making the exposed arm appear almost pitifully delicate.
Bai An’an raised her fingers and caressed the side of Mu Tianyin’s face, resting her warm fingertips gently against her skin.
She quickly glanced at Mu Tianyin with a shy expression, but did not withdraw her hand. “If Senior Sister likes it, An’an can come and serve you every night…”
Mu Tianyin’s gaze shifted. Without changing her expression, she caught the fingers resting against her face, seized Bai An’an’s wrist, and said flatly, “Tell me. What exactly is your objective?”
Hm?
She still had not forgotten about that?
Bai An’an blinked and deliberately assumed an innocent, playful expression. “Senior Sister, what are you talking about? An’an’s objective is simply to serve you and repay your kindness!”
Despite the unprecedented intimacy they had just shared, Mu Tianyin’s expression remained unchanged aside from the slight furrow between her brows.
If Bai An’an had not noticed the faint redness of her ears, she might truly have been deceived.
Pressing her advantage, Bai An’an straightened in Mu Tianyin’s embrace and leaned forward, pretending she intended to kiss her again.
Before she could put her plan into action, however, someone seized her by the neck and lifted her into the air.
Bai An’an’s entire face scrunched up as she cautiously opened one eye.
At some point, Mu Tianyin had broken free of the dream and entered the real world, where she had seized Bai An’an’s physical body by the throat.
This was no longer the harmless play of a dream. Mu Tianyin was serious this time.
A layer of frost seemed to cover Mu Tianyin’s ordinarily bland face as she glared coldly at Bai An’an and repeated, “Speak! What exactly is your objective?”
It seemed Bai An’an’s teasing had gone too far and driven Mu Tianyin into a rage out of embarrassment.
Even at such a dangerous moment, Bai An’an’s thoughts wandered toward all sorts of irrelevant things.
However, from the very beginning, she had prepared for the possibility that Mu Tianyin might expose her.
Naturally, she had devised an explanation with which to deceive her.
“Sen—Senior Sister…” Bai An’an’s trembling fingers closed around the hand gripping her neck. She struggled to speak. “Let me go, and I’ll explain everything slowly.”
Mu Tianyin studied her for a long moment before abruptly releasing her fingers.
Suddenly deprived of support, Bai An’an immediately collapsed onto the couch.
She braced herself against the edge of the bed with one hand and covered her throat with the other, coughing violently until her pale little face turned crimson.
Only after a long time did she recover. She gave Mu Tianyin a faintly reproachful look and murmured, “Since Senior Sister has discovered me, I won’t hide it any longer.”
Mu Tianyin stood beside the bed in white robes, looking down at her from above.
Although she still wore the appearance of an ordinary cultivator, Mu Tianyin had occupied a position of authority for many years. The imposing air surrounding her was entirely different from that of an ordinary person.
An ordinary person might have confessed everything when faced with such pressure.
But who was Bai An’an? She had not grown up easily frightened.
She raised her brows slightly, paused, and slowly said, “I merely wanted to obtain your protection.”
Mu Tianyin furrowed her brows and looked down at her coldly. “So everything you did was simply to obtain my protection?”
Mu Tianyin’s expression did not reveal even a trace of confusion, but Bai An’an knew that a favored daughter of heaven like her—someone cherished from the moment of her birth—could never understand the reality of a mortal struggling desperately to survive.
A genuinely mocking smile curved Bai An’an’s lips, though she gazed up at Mu Tianyin with an innocent expression.
“Isn’t that how it works? I saw all the other sisters doing the same thing.”
At those words, the space between Mu Tianyin’s brows immediately twitched.
“You said everyone else did this too?”
There was only one place beneath the heavens where beautiful women traded their bodies for material benefits: a brothel.
Bai An’an’s sweet voice entered her ears, confused yet entirely unconcerned. “An’an knows that if I want someone else’s protection, I must offer something in return.”
“But I don’t own a single valuable thing. All I have is this reasonably attractive body.”
At this point, her eyes lit up as she stared at Mu Tianyin, her expression still innocent and charming.
“Senior Sister, just take me! That way, An’an can remain here with a clear conscience!”
As she spoke, she opened her arms and prepared to throw herself into Mu Tianyin’s embrace again.
“Absurd!” Mu Tianyin could not help retreating a step as she rebuked her softly. “How can you be so utterly shameless?”
Bai An’an froze. She stared at Mu Tianyin with bewildered unease, tilting her little face in confusion.
“Shameless? No one has ever taught An’an what shame is.”
She murmured softly, stealing an apprehensive glance at Mu Tianyin. “What did I do wrong? Senior Sister, please enlighten me.”
Mu Tianyin looked stunned. A moment later, she suddenly sensed that something was amiss.
She remembered that when she first encountered this young woman, Bai An’an had indignantly mistaken her for someone’s servant. The second time they met, she had also firmly rejected the young man from the servant quarters.
Why, then, did she act as though she did not even understand the meaning of shame when it came to Mu Tianyin?
There was another point of suspicion as well: how had Bai An’an entered her dreams?
When Mu Tianyin mentioned those previous encounters, Bai An’an blinked and replied as though the answer were obvious, “How could those situations possibly be the same? Senior Sister is a woman!”
She raised her brows with innocent cheerfulness. “My mother told me that not a single man in this world is any good!”
Her lips curved upward as she stepped forward and nestled sweetly against Mu Tianyin. Looking up at her curiously, she asked, “Could Senior Sister actually be a man?”
Mu Tianyin fell speechless. Her lips moved, and only after a moment did she slowly answer, “No.”
Bai An’an released a relieved breath. Looking endlessly delighted, she smiled brightly at Mu Tianyin.
“Then there’s no problem!”
Mu Tianyin: “…”
