A Lust at First Sight (Lily Futa) - Chapter 2
Liu Yuelan’s gallery had recently taken on a new project. They needed to co-organize an art exhibition with a somewhat well-known foreign painter. Since it was their first collaboration, a lot of preparation was required, so she and her colleagues had been extremely busy, barely touching the ground.
The exhibition was a great success as expected. The partner was very satisfied with the overall effect and atmosphere. Liu Yuelan’s promotion had also been highly professional, successfully helping the artist open up the Chinese market and meet many insiders in the industry. After it ended, the other party happily invited the entire company team to dinner.
During the meal, toasts were exchanged and the conversation flowed happily. Liu Yuelan saw the guests off at the door, then arranged transportation for each colleague. Those with cars called for chauffeurs, and she sent colleagues who lived in the same direction together. By the end, only one female colleague remained.
“Yuelan, my car is at the repair shop. We’re heading the same way — want to go together?”
“Sure, I’ll call a chauffeur.”
Before long, the chauffeur arrived and first dropped the female colleague home. On the way, the colleague started talking about her own car troubles. “Speaking of this, it really annoys me. I don’t drive that much, but over the past two years I’ve had it repaired several times. I still don’t know what the actual problem is.”
“Can’t the 4S store figure it out?”
“Every time they say something different. This time replace this, next time replace that. I’m starting to suspect they’re just scamming me for money.”
Liu Yuelan smiled. Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. “My car broke down before and I had it fixed at an auto repair shop. It looked quite professional and legitimate. If you don’t want to go to the 4S store, maybe you can try there.”
“Sure, what’s the name?” The colleague took out her phone, ready to search.
Liu Yuelan was about to speak but stopped. She tilted her head and thought for a while, then shook her head helplessly. “I can’t remember the name. I’ll go home, check the business card, and send it to you.”
“Okay.”
After arriving home, Liu Yuelan placed her bag on the cabinet by the door, sat on the stool to change her shoes. Once done, she didn’t get up immediately. She leaned against the wall to rest. There had been heavy traffic on the way back, the chauffeur drove unsteadily, and she had also drunk some alcohol, so now she felt a bit dizzy and nauseous.
A few minutes later, she got up, went to the kitchen, poured herself a glass of cool boiled water, and felt a little better after drinking it. While taking off her suit jacket, she walked toward the bedroom. When she came out again, she had changed into loose loungewear. She went to the door, took her phone out of her bag, sent a message in the group chat to report she was safe, then scrolled up and saw the female colleague’s message, which reminded her of their conversation in the car.
She stood up, looked around the living room, and tried to recall where she had put the business card after coming back that day. She went to the shelf in the bedroom and found the bag she had probably carried that day. Sure enough, the promotional flyer was inside. She took a photo of the business card and sent it to her colleague, who replied with an “OK.”
She lay on the bed and unfolded the promotional flyer. She had stuffed it into her bag that day without even reading what was on it.
She saw that it offered different membership levels with different benefits. In her mind, she heard the conversation from that day again.
“It’s written on there.”
The voice was steady and serious, yet the words carried no warmth. As someone in the service industry, she had spoken somewhat rudely, making the customer feel as if they had done something wrong.
She recalled the woman’s face. Actually, too much time had passed and she couldn’t remember clearly anymore. What left a deeper impression was how the woman managed to make ordinary work clothes look like high-end custom tailoring. She handled everything in an orderly manner and remained calm even in urgent situations.
She had also deliberately helped stall for time.
Thinking of this, the corners of Liu Yuelan’s mouth slowly curved upward. “Interesting…”
She found the location of the repair shop in the app and saved it, then put the promotional flyer away in the file drawer. Humming a tune, she went to the bathroom to take a shower.
The next day.
Xiao Li was busy working at the front desk when she heard the wind chime after the automatic door opened. She immediately stood up with a smile. “Hello, how may I— Liu Miss?”
She watched Liu Yuelan walk in gracefully. Today, Liu Yuelan was wearing a white half-sleeve chiffon dress that revealed her slender calves. Every click of her high heels struck Xiao Li’s heart.
Hearing her name, Liu Yuelan smiled and said, “Long time no see. You still remember me?”
Xiao Li came back to her senses, her face slightly red. She smiled embarrassedly. “Miss Liu is very beautiful. It’s hard to forget.”
“Thank you for the compliment.”
Liu Yuelan accepted the reason without any modesty. As she got closer, Xiao Li finally noticed the necklace on her fair, slender neck — it was shaped like a rose with a small diamond at the center.
Xiao Li stared for a while before realizing how rude her gaze was. She quickly looked up. “Sorry, Miss Liu, I didn’t mean to…”
“It’s fine.” Liu Yuelan comforted her gently.
Xiao Li pulled herself together with professional spirit and returned to work mode. “Is there anything I can help you with today? Did the car have another issue after the last repair?”
“No. I wanted to learn more about your membership system. The person last time didn’t explain it clearly.”
Xiao Li’s eyes lit up when she heard that. “Welcome, welcome!” She quickly picked up a brochure from the desk and walked out from behind the counter. “Miss Liu, please come this way. Let’s sit down and talk. I’ll explain our membership system and benefits in detail.”
The two sat at a round table on one side of the lobby. Xiao Li poured her a glass of water and began explaining.
More than ten minutes later, Xiao Li finally stopped, took a sip of water, and asked happily, “Miss Liu, that’s roughly everything. In short, our membership discounts are very generous. Even regular members can enjoy many discounts and free services. The longer you renew, the more occasional benefits you get. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.”
Liu Yuelan nodded in understanding. She was flipping through the brochure and about to speak when the crisp sound of the wind chime rang out.
Yu Qianlin walked in, went straight to the rest area, took a bottle of mineral water from the fridge, and drank it with her head tilted back, gulping loudly.
Xiao C walked in with his toolbox, looking dejected. He glanced timidly at her a few times, then finally gathered his courage and walked behind her. “Master, I’m sorry. I was wrong. Please don’t be angry anymore.”
Yu Qianlin finished the entire bottle, screwed the cap back on, turned around, and looked straight at him. “I’ve reminded you about the same issue many times. I don’t think this is a matter of ability — it’s an attitude problem. This time it didn’t cause a bigger loss, but if I hadn’t found the problem in time, or if you had gone to repair a customer’s car alone, you should know very well how serious a safety accident it could have caused.”
Hearing such a serious scolding, Xiao C’s eyes turned red. He sniffled. “Master, I know I was wrong. I will definitely be more careful in the future. I’m sorry.”
Xiao Li stood to the side, not daring to breathe loudly. Seeing Yu Qianlin frown and stay silent, although she didn’t know exactly what had happened, she could tell it was serious.
She walked over to Xiao C, glanced at him, and broke the stalemate. “Sister Lin, Xiao C already knows he was wrong. I believe he’ll remember it next time. Why don’t you forgive him this once?”
Yu Qianlin turned her head to look at her. Just as she was about to speak, she noticed Liu Yuelan standing behind the two of them, looking in their direction. The empty bottle in her hand made a crunching sound as she squeezed it.
Xiao C saw the bottle being crushed out of shape in her hand and shrank back in fear. “Master, I was wrong. If you want to hit me, please be gentle… don’t hit my face.”
After saying that, he closed his eyes and turned his back to Yu Qianlin. He waited a few seconds, but felt no pain. He secretly opened his eyes and saw Yu Qianlin turning around and walking toward the changing room.
He breathed a sigh of relief, only to hear Yu Qianlin throw back one sentence:
“All performance bonuses for this month are deducted.”
Xiao C’s face twisted in pain. After suffering for a few seconds, he sighed. This was the punishment he deserved. It was already merciful that Master hadn’t fired him.
Xiao Li pushed him. “What did you do this time to make Sister Lin angry?”
Xiao C put his toolbox on the front desk and covered his face. “The car was finally fixed. I went to help Master clean up. A gasket wasn’t put away properly and fell into the pipe. As soon as the engine started, the car stalled. It almost ruined the entire part. The customer was furious. Luckily, Master found the problem in time. As compensation, we didn’t charge any repair fee and just came back.” [Note]
After saying this, Xiao C slumped onto the table. “Wuwu, I’m sorry to Master. She stood under the blazing sun for so long, not only earned nothing, but also had to take the scolding for me.”
Xiao Li punched him in frustration. “You deserved it! Usually when Sister Lin tells you to listen carefully, you never take it seriously. You only learn after something goes wrong. If I were Sister Lin, I’d deduct half your salary this month!”
Xiao C was still immersed in his sadness. Xiao Li couldn’t stand seeing him so useless, so she kicked him. “What are you standing around for? Go inside and see if anyone needs help. Don’t slack off here. If Sister Lin sees you working hard, she might feel a bit better.”
Xiao C thought she had a point. He lifted his head and pulled himself together again. “Okay! I’m going to study harder and work harder. I can’t disappoint Master again!” With that, he picked up his toolbox and ran toward the repair area.
Xiao Li shook her head as she watched him. “Little brat.” When she turned back and saw Liu Yuelan, she suddenly realized she had left the customer waiting. She quickly walked over and said, “Sorry, Miss Liu, for making you wait so long.”
“It’s fine. Seeing how strict and professional you are with your employees, I feel very reassured.”
Xiao Li breathed a sigh of relief when she heard that. She no longer treated Liu Yuelan as an outsider and started chatting casually. “Sigh, sorry you had to see that. Xiao C has only been working here for less than a year. He still has a lot to learn. Sister Lin is very strict with him. After all, he keeps calling her ‘Master,’ and Sister Lin hasn’t objected.”
“Lin Jie… is her surname Lin?” Liu Yuelan asked, puzzled.
“No,” Xiao Li flipped the brochure to a certain page and pointed it out to her. “Her name is Yu Qianlin. She’s the store manager here. Her skills are among the best. She has many professional certificates and has been in this line of work for nearly 10 years. Her experience is especially rich.”
Liu Yuelan looked at the photo of Yu Qianlin in the brochure. She was still wearing a work uniform, her hair a bit shorter than now — clearly a photo from when she was younger. Her eyes carried sharpness and edge back then, but now they had become much more restrained.
Liu Yuelan looked at the long list of certificates beside the photo, as well as the various industry conferences, trainings, and lectures she had hosted or participated in. Her smile gradually deepened.
She asked jokingly, “Such an outstanding person must have a lot of people chasing her, right?”
Xiao Li didn’t expect her to suddenly ask this, but she still answered, “Sister Lin says she believes in not getting married. I’ve been here for so long and I’ve never seen her date anyone.”
Liu Yuelan’s eyes curved in a wide smile. “After becoming a member, can I specify which employee I want to do the maintenance?”
Xiao Li was caught off guard by the sudden change in topic, but she understood the implication and said enthusiastically, “Of course you can. If you have an employee you’re satisfied with, you can specify them. However, for routine maintenance, it’s best to make an appointment in advance so we can reserve time for you. For emergencies, we may not be able to fully accommodate you, because employees usually need to finish their current tasks before taking on new ones.”
Liu Yuelan smiled and nodded. She closed the brochure. “Alright. Please help me register for a one-year Diamond Membership.”
Xiao Li’s mouth fell open in shock. She couldn’t believe her ears. “Miss Liu… you said Diamond Membership? And for one year?”
“Mm. Is there a problem?” Liu Yuelan tilted her head at her.
Xiao Li quickly waved her hands. “No, no! It’s just… this is the first time I’ve seen someone sign up for a full year, and it’s the Diamond tier. That’s not a small amount of money.”
She was so excited she didn’t know what to do with her hands. She tidied the documents on the desk, then finally calmed down. Worried that Liu Yuelan might be making an impulsive purchase, she confirmed again, “Are you sure you want to do one year? Actually, you can start with half a year or three months. If you like it, you can renew anytime. Membership duration can be accumulated, and even if there’s a gap, it still counts when you renew.”
Liu Yuelan brushed her hair aside and laughed softly while lowering her head to open her bag. “Other shops are desperate for customers to spend more money. Why does your shop keep trying to help customers save money instead?”
She pushed the card toward Xiao Li. “Here, I’ll swipe the card.”
Seeing that Liu Yuelan had made up her mind and clearly didn’t lack money, Xiao Li realized that continuing to persuade her would make her seem inexperienced. She was still very happy to close such a big deal. She took the card and stood up. “Alright, Miss Liu, please come this way. I’ll help you with the procedures.”
Liu Yuelan signed several documents. Xiao Li first handed her the credit card and receipt, then operated on the computer for a while and printed out a shiny card. She handed it to her with both hands. The card had the membership number and her name on it. “Miss Liu, welcome to becoming our honored Diamond Member. This is your membership card. Please keep it safe. From now on, you will enjoy Diamond Member benefits at our shop.”
Liu Yuelan took the card, waved it under the sunlight. She couldn’t tell what material it was made of, but it felt very premium. She tapped the card on the table a few times and joked, “It really does look very prestigious.”
Xiao Li was in a great mood too. She smiled and said, “Our cards are specially custom-made for members to collect. In the future, you don’t need to bring the card when you come for service. Just show up.”
“Face recognition?”
“Haha, exactly — face recognition.”
Both of them laughed. Liu Yuelan put the card away in her bag. Xiao Li noticed she had only brought a small bag, so she took a folder from the drawer and placed the customer copy of the signed documents inside. “These documents are for the customer to keep. I’ve put them in a bag for you.”
“Thank you.” Liu Yuelan took it and glanced to the right. “My car happens to need maintenance. Can I specify an employee?”
“Yes, please tell me. I’ll check for you.” Xiao Li was very happy to be able to serve her so soon and was determined to give her the best service attitude.
“Mm… I just spent quite a lot, so of course I want the best technician. Would your store manager be available?” Liu Yuelan looked at Xiao Li expectantly.
Xiao Li’s high service enthusiasm dropped slightly. Sister Lin usually only handled problems that others couldn’t solve or helped when they were really overwhelmed. Routine vehicle maintenance was relatively simple…
But who could say “no” to a beautiful woman looking at them with such expectation? Xiao Li gritted her teeth. “Please wait a moment. I’ll ask her. If she doesn’t have any arrangements right now, we’ll prioritize serving you.”
On the other side, after entering the changing room, Yu Qianlin leaned against the door. She closed her eyes and stood there for a while, rubbed her face, then walked to the shower stall, locked the door, turned on the shower head, and let the water run. After stripping off all her clothes on the side, she stepped under the water stream and let it pour over her head for several minutes.
In the end, she still frowned in disgust, lowered her head, grabbed the shower head, lowered the temperature, and aimed the water directly at the hardened cock between her legs. She closed her eyes, refusing to look at it.
She didn’t know why something that had been quiet for so many years was starting to stir again. Just when she had confidently believed she could control her own body, reality suddenly punched her hard.
When did it start?
From the first glance at that woman. Just a fleeting glimpse, and she no longer dared to meet her eyes. She was grateful that the pants she wore that day had been loose enough, and the counter had blocked the view, so she hadn’t been too embarrassed. Later, sending others away and personally attending to her had been both painful and pleasurable.
That day, the woman had worn a touch of green, bringing vitality to her world. There was a faint fragrance on her body, the corners of her mouth always carried a smile, her eyes curved beautifully, her neck was slender, her fingers had distinct knuckles, and her voice was soft and pleasant. Even when being teased, it made one enjoy it…
Yu Qianlin suddenly opened her eyes. Her breathing was rapid, fine sweat beading on her forehead. She shook her head hard, clearing all those thoughts. Looking at the thing below that showed no sign of improvement, she took a deep breath, forced herself to think about frustrating work matters, quickly finished showering, and came out.
Staying too long in a closed space would only make it worse.
