Shen Baibi turned off the faucet and stepped out of the shower. He grabbed a bath towel and wrapped it around his lower body, drying his hair as he walked toward the door.

The moment the bathroom door opened, a wave of refreshing coolness hit him, relieving the post-shower heat. Shen Baibi’s throat moved slightly; he was thirsty.

He walked toward the coffee table in the room, but when he lifted the kettle, it was empty, and so was his glass. Out of options, he had to go outside to look for water.

Shen Baibi left the master bedroom and walked down the hallway to the living room. The lights were on, but the house was silent and empty. He glanced at the wall clock; it was already past 11:00 PM, and Xia Ran wasn’t back yet.

Xia Ran had work today and had been picked up by Jiang Shen before noon. Thanks to that, Shen Baibi had enjoyed a peaceful day without having to deal with that noisy brat.

Thinking this, Shen Baibi headed for the kitchen. But after only two steps, he heard the distinct sound of the front door opening, followed by Xia Ran’s voice: “Come on in.”

A question mark popped up in Shen Baibi’s head. Xia Ran brought someone home?

Xia Ran took a deep breath, turned to Xiao Xiao, and smiled: “Xiao Xiao, it’s late. You should head back. Thanks for dropping me off.”

“I’ll see you out!” Xia Ran said, pushing him toward the door.

“Wait a second!” Xiao Xiao called out, lifting the box. “Ran-ge, your package!”

Xia Ran snatched the box and shoved it into Shen Baibi’s arms in one fluid motion, then continued pushing him: “Got it, thanks—watch your step!”

After seeing his assistant to the door, Xia Ran waved kindly: “Bye-bye, Xiao Xiao!”

He was about to close the door when Xiao Xiao called out: “Ran-ge!”

“What is it?” Xia Ran asked with great patience.

Xiao Xiao scratched his cheek, looking a bit embarrassed. After hesitating for a moment, he spoke his mind: “Ran-ge, uh, I wish you and Baibi-ge a pleasant evening.”

As he spoke, he flashed a smile that was suggestive to the extreme.

“Huh?” Xia Ran was lost.

Xiao Xiao suddenly lowered his voice, his tone full of encouragement: “Make sure to use those things well!”

Xia Ran felt like he understood less and less the more he heard, but he kept the smile on his face: “Okay, I will. Don’t worry. That’s all then, you should get going. Bye!”

After sending Xiao Xiao off, Xia Ran walked back inside, pondering what the assistant meant. A pleasant evening? Those things?

Shen Baibi had no idea that because of his “perverted” behavior, they were being misunderstood by Xiao Xiao. This misunderstanding was too embarrassing to even mention; Shen Baibi was so dense he couldn’t even catch on—he really should be renamed Shen Shabi.

Fuming, Xia Ran sat on the sofa. His gaze naturally fell upon the cardboard box. It’s all the fault of this package!

According to Xiao Xiao, these were things Xia Ran had bought. Since it wasn’t convenient to ship them to this address, Xiao Xiao had received them on his behalf.
