After Transmigrated as the Movie Star's Omega - Chapter 6
“You’re really something.”
Meng Lu and Jiang Shen were walking toward the lounge together. As they walked, she didn’t forget to scold him: “Your own artist is in the middle of a photoshoot, and you, the manager, actually sneak off to your car to sleep? Is there any manager more unreliable than you?”
Jiang Shen clasped his hands together, begging for mercy: “Sister Lu, have some mercy. I didn’t get to sleep until almost 2:00 AM last night, and I was up again at 5:00 AM. If I didn’t sneak in a nap, I wouldn’t be able to handle the rest of the day’s work. Besides, I knew you’d be watching them, so I felt safe sleeping. With you there, nothing could go wrong.”
Meng Lu snorted. “Xia Ran is your artist, okay?”
“Oh, come on, we’re all family now.” Jiang Shen shrugged, then lowered his voice. “Locusts tied to the same string shouldn’t be so picky about who belongs to who.”
“That mouth of yours…” Meng Lu shook her head, clearly unable to win against his thick skin. “Let’s just get back quickly. If we’re late, who knows what kind of trouble those two will stir up.”
Jiang Shen was unconcerned. “In such a short amount of time? Even if they wanted to cause trouble, there isn’t enough time. Don’t worry; they might dislike each other, but they both know where to draw the line.”
“I hope so.”
Despite her words, Meng Lu quickened her pace. Her sixth sense told her that something might have happened, which made her uneasy. But at the same time, she was puzzled. Both boys were indeed sensible, as Jiang Shen said. So what could possibly happen? They couldn’t have actually started a fistfight, could they?
They walked briskly back to the lounge. Meng Lu stood at the door and tilted her head to listen; it was silent, which eased her mind slightly.
“See? I told you it was fine,” Jiang Shen said with a smile.
Meng Lu ignored him, gripped the handle, and opened the door.
The moment the door opened, the scent of pheromones rushed out. It was so potent that even these two pheromone-insensitive Betas could smell it.
They exchanged a look, seeing shock in each other’s eyes.
They rushed into the lounge, locking the door behind them, and hurried further inside.
No one was on the sofa; both were on the floor. When Meng Lu saw them clearly, she gasped. It wasn’t the fight she had imagined, but it was much worse than a fight!
Shen Baibi was holding Xia Ran, kissing and biting at his neck. Xia Ran’s eyes were closed, his expression a mix of pain and pleasure, and his arms were wrapped tightly around Shen Baibi’s neck, refusing to let go—as if he were perfectly happy to be treated this way.
The two managers were stunned. It took a long moment before they regained their senses and rushed forward to pull the two apart.
The pair, currently in the throes of passion, were far from willing to be separated. They held on even tighter to resist the external force.
“Baibi, let go! That’s Xia Ran!” Meng Lu tried to pull Shen Baibi away, but her strength was no match for a man’s—especially since the current Shen Baibi was an Alpha whose strength far exceeded hers. Naturally, her efforts were in vain.
“What are you just standing there for? Come help!” Meng Lu screamed in frustration as she saw Jiang Shen give up after only two tries.
Jiang Shen remained calm. “They’re both high right now. Separating them won’t be that easy.”
“Then what do we do!” Meng Lu cried out. Was she supposed to just watch them roll around on the floor? She felt her own artist wasn’t necessarily at a loss, but did Jiang Shen feel the same about his?
“The smell of pheromones in this room is so heavy…” Jiang Shen analyzed.
Both realized it at once: “Suppressants!”
Having found a solution, they rushed to grab their respective suppressants and began spraying them relentlessly at their artists.
At first, Shen Baibi and Xia Ran resisted, but as the powerful suppressants took effect, they gradually calmed down.
“Are you calm now?” Having finally separated the two, Meng Lu let out a sigh of relief and asked.
Shen Baibi sat on the floor, leaning against the sofa. While panting heavily, he nodded to his manager. “Yeah… what happened to me?”
As he spoke, he looked over at Xia Ran. When he saw the other’s disheveled and pitiful state, his gaze instantly sharpened.
Xia Ran’s messy clothes had been straightened out, but the pale skin exposed was covered in marks—teeth marks and hickeys were everywhere. He looked both pitiful and lovely.
Shen Baibi remembered that these marks were his doing. He recalled the soft, tender sensation he felt when leaving them. The fire in his body hadn’t been fully extinguished, and at this moment, it threatened to flare up again.
Xia Ran, who was half-lying on the sofa after being helped up, felt the heat of Shen Baibi’s gaze. Despite his body still feeling weak, he shouted in shame and anger, “What are you looking at?!”
His voice was incredibly raspy, and his eyes were welling with tears—it was unclear if they were forced out by desire or by shame.
Hearing his own voice sound so weak and powerless due to the raspiness, Xia Ran bit his lip in frustration.
It was too humiliating!
He had actually been pinned down and bitten and kissed by Shen Baibi—and he hadn’t resisted at all. He had even enjoyed it, voluntarily wrapping his arms around Shen Baibi’s neck and offering himself up. This “at your mercy” posture was a monumental disgrace!
How could this happen? He had been completely unable to control his own body—or rather, he hadn’t wanted to control it. He had only wanted to be possessed by Shen Baibi, no matter how roughly…
Thinking about his feelings at the time, Xia Ran’s face turned uncontrollably red. The heat spread through his entire body, burning him until he looked like a boiled shrimp.
“You… you… what exactly did you do to me!” Xia Ran was so annoyed he was almost in tears.
Confronted by the question, Shen Baibi didn’t know how to answer. What did he do? He also wanted to know why he had suddenly lost control, wanting nothing more than to pin down this beautiful youth who radiated a cloyingly sweet scent and use every means to make him cry, to make him scream…
Shen Baibi clenched his fists tightly. The pain from his nails digging into his palms cleared his head slightly.
“Pervert!” Xia Ran threw a pillow at him, but he had no strength; the pillow only flew halfway before falling to the floor.
“Alright, that’s enough!” Meng Lu spoke up.
Xia Ran sniffled aggrievedly.
Jiang Shen, who had returned from opening the window, crouched in front of him. He touched Xia Ran’s face to comfort him. “Don’t cry, Ran-ran. You can’t be blamed for this, and neither can Movie Star Shen.”
“Why can’t he be blamed? I was… I was…” Xia Ran’s face was so red it looked ready to drip blood.
Meng Lu sighed. “You two likely experienced Induced Heat.”
“Induced Heat?” Both looked bewildered.
Jiang Shen asked them, “Did you smell anything before it happened?”
“A smell?”
Speaking of which, Shen Baibi remembered. It was only after smelling that rich, milky aroma on Xia Ran that he lost his mind. Even now, a trace of it lingered in the room.
“He has a milk scent on him!”
“He has a green tea scent on him!”
They pointed at each other and spoke in unison, then glared at one another.
“I told you I didn’t drink milk!” Even though his voice was still hoarse, Xia Ran insisted on clearing his name. He had been so busy with the shoot; where would he have found the time to drink milk?
“And I don’t have a ‘green tea’ smell on me either!” Shen Baibi added in a low voice.
“Stop arguing!” Meng Lu cut them off helplessly. “Neither of you is wrong. You both indeed have scents of milk and tea on you.”
“Huh?”
The two were stunned. They both started frantically sniffing various parts of their own bodies, only to become more confused. There really was a scent!
“I… I didn’t drink milk…” Xia Ran stammered. Where was this coming from?
“It’s not a matter of drinking milk or not.” Jiang Shen smiled at him. “That is the scent of your pheromones.”
“Pheromones?”
Shen Baibi frowned. “This is what pheromones are?”
“Yes,” Meng Lu nodded.
“So… I was lured in by Xia Ran’s pheromones?” Shen Baibi said thoughtfully.
“Who lured you?!” Xia Ran practically hissed. Was this man even speaking human? He, Xia Ran, could lure anyone but Shen Baibi. If he couldn’t understand such a simple truth, he might as well change his name to Shen Shabi (Idiot)!
Shen Baibi replied matter-of-factly, “Your pheromone scent is so thick it’s hard not to smell it. Is that not a lure?”
“It was clearly your pheromones that were thick, okay?!” Unable to take the insult, Xia Ran threw another pillow. He had regained some strength, and this time his aim was true—it hit Meng Lu right in the face.
“Ah! Sorry, Sister Lu!” Xia Ran apologized while pulling Jiang Shen in front of him as a shield.
Meng Lu moved the pillow aside. She glanced at him without reprimanding him, but instead sighed. “Stop arguing. In your case, it was mutual induction.”
“Mutual induction?” Once again, they were lost.
“An Omega’s pheromones will induce an Alpha’s heat, and conversely, an Alpha’s pheromones will trigger an Omega’s,” Meng Lu explained. “And because of the permanent mark, you two are far more sensitive to each other’s pheromones than to anyone else’s. Therefore, it only takes a tiny amount to induce the other.”
After listening to her, the two fell silent.
It was true; as she said, in the beginning, they had only smelled a very faint scent from the other. Then, slowly, bit by bit, it grew stronger until it was out of control.
“But… why didn’t I feel anything at first?” Xia Ran thought back. That feeling of heat was so overwhelming and intense; if it had been there from the start, how could he have felt nothing?
“That’s exactly the point,” Jiang Shen said with a smile. “I imagine it’s because you’re new here and aren’t used to this state yet. You also can’t control your pheromones, so you released them unconsciously, and accidentally set each other off.”
After saying that, he gave Xia Ran a wink.
Xia Ran knew he was being teased, but he couldn’t help blushing and turning his head away.
Shen Baibi also felt a bit awkward. So it was mutual attraction…
He cleared his throat. “By the way, what was that stuff you sprayed on us just now?”
“This?” Meng Lu held up the bottle. “It’s a suppressant. it suppresses the urge of the heat.”
Shen Baibi didn’t say anything, but Xia Ran turned back. Seeing that Jiang Shen also had a bottle, he snatched it. “If there’s such good stuff, why didn’t you bring it out earlier?”
“My little ancestor!” Jiang Shen quickly snatched it back. “This is a super-strength suppressant. You can’t just use it whenever. Using too much is harmful!”
“What kind of harm?”
“It damages the brain.”
Xia Ran let go, his interest vanishing.
“There are two types of suppressants,” Meng Lu explained. “One is for prevention, and the other is for emergencies like this. However, this type is somewhat harmful to the body, so it’s best to use it sparingly.”
Jiang Shen took a bottle of pills from his bag and handed it to him. “Ran-ran, usually you just take these. Take them on schedule, and you won’t suddenly go into heat.”
Xia Ran nodded and took them. But remembering something, he asked, “Wait, only me? What about Shen Baibi?”
Shen Baibi also looked over.
Jiang Shen shrugged. “Alphas don’t have heat cycles, so they don’t need them.”
Hearing such discriminatory treatment, Xia Ran was beside himself with rage. “Why?! Is being an Omega always this much of a disadvantage? Is there no justice? Is there no law?!”
The more he spoke, the angrier he got. Seeing Shen Baibi looking like an uninvolved bystander, Xia Ran’s anger hit the ceiling.
But then, he took a deep breath and said with forced calm, “Shen Baibi, I have a proposal.”
“Hmm?” Shen Baibi looked at him suspiciously, wondering what he was up to.
Xia Ran’s smile had a hint of malice. “Since Alphas are so easily influenced by Omegas, it must be quite troublesome for you too. So, why don’t you…”
“Just get neutered,” Xia Ran said, smiling with pure, harmless intent.
Shen Baibi returned the smile, but his words were incredibly sarcastic: “Not in your dreams.”
